Daylan and Nick are a great team. They called ahead to let me know their ETA and kept me apprised of their progress each step of the way. They are professional and hard working. My basement was not the easiest set-up and they were able to adjust the plan, always getting my approval, along the way. Bakers waterproofing has multiple options to finance the work, making this necessary work easier to get completed.

I hired Baker’s Waterproofing to perform lifting and stabilizing of my front and back porch slabs. Field inspector Seth put together the estimate. Office staff Haley and Emily communicated by email, text message, and telephone. Foreman Josh and co-foreman Omar did the work. At all stages, everyone was professional, polite, prompt, and informative. I was pleased in all ways.

I can't say enough good things about Bakers Waterproofing. Years ago they did waterproofing for me; this time I had them back for foundation repairs. It was a positive experience and quality job from beginning to end. Marshall, who came out to assess the situation and give me an estimate, was so courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. I had many questions and he was patient as he clearly explained and illustrated everything I asked about. I felt good about the price after some discounts. I was even more impressed when I got a call the next day, which was a Saturday, to schedule the job. I did have a bit of a wait, but my situation wasn't urgent and I thought the wait was reasonable for the time of year and volume of work they do. But I was really impressed with Jim and Pat Clark who came out to do the work. I had a confirmation call two days before, and Jim and Pat called when they were on their way so I'd know when to expect them. They were so friendly, professional and respectful and their work ethic was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure all issues were addressed by their quality work. It's an old house so they ran into a couple of issues that they handled without complaining it getting upset. They ended up having to stay many hours past the time they expected to be finished. It was clear that they take pride in their work and weren't about to leave until everything was completed according to their obviously high standards. Jim and his brother Pat were a pleasure to have working here for two days. They're the best among many crews I've had work at the house over the years. Dedicated employees who do quality work make all the difference. They are a true asset and the foundation of Bakers' excellent reputation. I would hire Bakers Waterproofing again without a second thought.

I had a problem with a basement wall pushing in… Called Baker’s Waterproofing and they sent out Brad Peterson to give us an estimate on the job. Surprisingly, they had a crew here the very next day. Cale, Joel, Shay, and Will did a fantastic job inside and out. They dug a 4 foot trench and mounted six wall anchors along the problem wall. They were all polite and professional, and did a great cleanup job before leaving. If you have any type of basement problem, Baker’s is the way to go.

This review is for any single, female, homeowner that needs work done and are looking for an honest company. Trust Bakers. I had Bob come to give me an estimate on my cracked, sunken patio, he let me know they could try to do it but it wouldn't be pretty and I may not get the results I wanted. I wanted to try anyway. We booked. Bob called and said I was assigned a foreman named Hayden and he thought that was the best foreman for the job. The day of my appointment arrived, bad weather hit. They went out of their way to reschedule me for the weekend. No worries. The day came. Hayden arrived and let me know if he did the job I would be wasting my money and that I should just put the funds towards getting a new patio….in a nice way. When Bob did his inspection my patio was decorated with chairs, rugs, Halloween decorations and things. I had it emptied for the job. So, he could not accurately assess. Not his fault! I'm very happy with the services I ended up not receiving from this company due to their honesty and ethics. Customer service was also great. Communication was great. If I ever have a need in the future (I probably will, my house is 107yrs old) I will not hesitate to contact Bakers Waterproofing. You shouldn't hesitate to contact them either!

I received a courtesy call 45 minutes before they arrive. Eric Davis, Kyler Crawford and Darvon Durham worked efficiently and very clean as the job went along and they were very courteous. They answered all my questions and no one ran any power tools while I was talking. The finish work looked perfect and final finish work walk trough was perfect as well. Now all I need is the rain to put the final stamp of approval which I know I’ll be satisfied as well. Bill Paul

Is Concrete Lifting the Right Solution for Me?

Having uneven, cracked concrete is not only an ugly sight to see, but it can also lead to potential accidents. Sunken concrete can cause your home’s external stairs to sag, which can use you or someone else to potentially take a misstep and fall. Cracked concrete can also cause you and others to trip and fall, leading to a potential fall and serious injury. Cracks in your garage floor can lead to a wet garage where mold can form, and you are susceptible to slipping on standing water.

These floor cracks can also cause your basement to leak. That is why it is important to have concrete raising experts evaluate your home’s concrete for anything that might need repair. Act quickly if you see cracks in your driveway, sidewalk, or garage, as these issues can lead to more costly problems. We offer FREE, no-obligation inspections, so you can be sure something is wrong before you spend any money.

FAQs

SettleStop PolyRenewal™ foam injection is one of the most effective concrete lifting products on the market today. Compared to older methods like mudjacking, polyurethane foam is less messy, less likely to overburden already weak soil, cures quickly, and easier for skilled professionals to install.

During a professional inspection, our experts at Baker’s Wateproofing will determine the area and amount needed for installation. When the crew arrives to lift your concrete, here’s a look at their process:

  • Small, penny-sized holes are drilled into the affected concrete.
  • Injection ports are placed in these holes.
  • The two-part foam is mixed.
  • The foam is injected under the concrete, expanding to fill voids between the soil and slab.
  • The slab lifts back to the proper height as the foam cures (within 15 minutes).
  • The injection ports are removed.
  • The drilled holes are filled and sealed, as are any visible cracks.

Yes. In fact, we recommend that our PolyRenewal™ customers seal the cracks and joints of their newly lifted concrete with our Caulk Joints solution, as it will help protect their concrete for many years to come.

Call or click for an appointment. One of our design specialists will come to your home and inspect your concrete. He or she will then sit down with you and explain what caused your issues, how they can be fixed and exactly what it will cost.

Yes. PolyRenewal™ is made from an environmentally friendly material that is waterproof and won’t degrade over time. This means it won’t leach harmful chemicals into the surrounding soil.

Why Is Concrete Lifting Needed?

sinking and uneven concrete

Preventing Injuries

It is very easy for a person to trip on cracked or uneven concrete. Falling on concrete is a painful experience that can cause minor to major injuries. This can be a liability to you as a homeowner. When concrete connected to your external stairs begins to sink, it can cause your stairs to shift quite a bit. This means that you or anyone else going up or down your stairs could easily trip not noticing the shift in the stairs. Garage floor cracks can lead to water coming through, causing another slipping hazard. Protect yourself and your houseguests by keeping your sidewalk, driveway, and garage floors free of cracks.

Home for Sale

Enhancing Property Value

If you plan on selling your property, any potential buyers will notice any cracks in your sidewalk, garage, and driveway. To enhance and potentially increase your home’s value on the market, you must fix any unsightly cracks or unevenness in the concrete around your property. Cracks can cause accidents, making your home a safety hazard, which can deter prospective buyers. Cracks can also cause water to pool, creating another tripping hazard, as well as water damage to things you may have stored in your home’s garage. Seeing standing water will almost certainly scare away those interested in your home.

Heavy Rain outside flooding

Preventing Water Leaks & Standing Water

Water leaks can come through any voids in your concrete. Standing water seeping through your concrete slabs becomes a slipping hazard. If water comes in from cracks in your garage floor, then your personal possessions are at risk of being damaged by water. Mold and mildew can also begin to form in the humid environment of your garage. Mold can cause harm to you, your family, and your belongings. That is why proper concrete raising and sealing can keep your home free of water damage and your family safe from health issues caused by mold.

Common Concrete Lifting Tips & Mistakes

Tips for Concrete Leveling

  • Assess your entire property for any cracks. Be sure to check your driveway, sidewalk, garage floors, and even your home’s foundation. Take note of any cracks found, and contact our concrete lifting experts for an examination, and, if needed, remediation.
  • Take note of any water coming from cracks in your concrete. Standing water will pool around the cracks, causing mold to form and pesky insects like mosquitoes to gather. Standing water is also a slipping hazard that can cause serious injuries.
  • You should do your research when hiring a concrete lifting professional. At Baker’s, you can trust that our technology and technicians are ideal for taking on cracked and uneven concrete. We offer FREE inspections, so reach out today!

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don’t ignore cracks in your concrete. These cracks can gradually grow, damaging more of your property. This lessens your property value, increases the chance for water damage, and can potentially cause you or your guests to trip and fall.
  • Don’t assume that you can just add caulk to a crack in your concrete. At Baker’s, we have innovative systems and skilled technicians that can easily lift concrete and fix cracks. So, please don’t assume cracks in your concrete is an easy DIY project.
  • Mudjacking is no longer the most effective solution to fixing your sunken concrete problems. With PolyRenewal™, we inject a polyurethane foam that lifts up your concrete. With mudjacking, water can loosen the soil, causing your concrete to sink in once again.
