By far this was one of our most extreme cases of bowing. Homeowner Donald of Morgantown, WV was seeing 3-4” of inward movement from the walls of his basement. To remedy this issue he had our patented GeoLock Channel anchors installed. In 2013, we provided a free inspection of the bowing foundation walls, but the homeowner did not move forward with the work. He knew there was a bowed wall, but did not seem concerned about the seemingly small water problem.
Over the years, the water problem only got worse. In 2017, they called us again saying water flooded their basement. Our team completed another free inspection and we recommended and installed our proven waterproofing and wall repair systems to fix this Morgantown home for good.
During the appointment, our certified specialist Jesse inspected the area. This home was built in the 1930s and has a thin slab floor. The most water they ever had during rains was about 6 inches in the basement. The crawlspace needed addressed, but Jesse did not believe there was enough consistent room to have work space. Jesse also learned that his wife just gave birth to a newborn baby the previous day!
This young couple agreed on our recommendations, and knew it was time to take care of their home's foundation.
We proposed and installed a below-floor WaterGuard drain with two ports, 3' trench drain, 1 TripleSafe sump pump, washable CleanSpace vapor barrier, 3 Geo-Lock wall anchors, and a curtain drain in the yard.
Upon our crew's arrival, our foreman Ken recognized that he could squeeze into the very small crawlspace and address the problem. The homeowner agreed on the additional project. Our crew was still able to complete this project within one week!
The additional work was the installation of our more durable crawlspace liner with dimpled drainage matting below (directly on the dirt floor).
Now, this Morgantown home is a healthier and more pleasant space for their new family.
--We recently completed a service visit in 2019 to ensure the system is working properly and to maintain it over time.
We're glad this home has been successfully protected against structural issues and flooding water!
A homeowner in Morgantown has lived in the same residence for 31 years. The crawlspace below his home has always been an issue. But he recently called us to schedule a free inspection, because he wanted to prep the house to potentially sell down the line.
The homeowner specified that he wanted to encapsulate his crawl space.
Upon inspection, we recommended our patented crawl space encapsulation system. The homeowner told us that the first floor of his home gets cold in the winter, so we shared information about our floor insulation, called Terrablock.
On the chosen project date, our crew installed dimpled drainage matting on top of the dirt crawl space floor. Then, we insulated the floor with Terrablock, a 3/4" foam board that helps protect the area. And we encapsulated the floor and walls with our CleanSpace vapor barrier system.
We also used our foam board to seal the crawl space vents. By sealing this previously vented crawlspace, we protected the wood and stored objects in this area from water vapor, humidity, and potential structural damage.
Lastly, we tied our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier (an automatically draining unit) into the existing drainage pipe per the homeowner's request.
Now, the first floor will be warmer in the winter and the home's crawlspace is up to code!
A husband and wife plan to sell their home to two of their good friends. They hoped to make the dirt crawl space a healthier part of the home before selling it to them. That is when they called Baker's Waterproofing to get a free estimate.
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Shawn Jackson, inspected the inside and outside of the house. Shawn specifically designed a crawl space solution that met the basic repair needs at a price that fit within the couple's budget.
At a later date, our Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh and his crew installed our CleanSpace crawl space liner on the walls and dirt floor. Ken and his crew also installed vent covers to seal off freezing cold/humid outside air.
Now, this part of the house is healthier and ready to be sold!
A horizontal crack developed in a basement wall, and eventually extended to either end of the 63-foot wall. Small horizontal cracking near the middle of the wall is one of the first symptoms of a bowing wall. As extreme pressure from outside soil continued, the wall began to bow up to 2 inches before a homeowner in Morgantown, WV called us to schedule a free in-home inspection.
Our Service Advisor learned that the married couple's main concern was the safety of their home. This serious foundation problem put their quality of life at risk. Luckily, they found a solution that they could trust, our proven Geo-Lock wall anchor system.
This system is their best opportunity to straighten the wall over time, and, most importantly, solve this issue once and for all. Now, their foundation wall is permanently stabilized, giving them the chance to breathe easy in their safe home.

A Morgantown, WV homeowner wanted to address the problematic crawl space in his home. He has lived in Morgantown over 17 years, and recently identified that the area needed repairs. He called our office to schedule a free inspection.
Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Jesse Pitcock, inspected the inside and outside of the house. Jesse identified the problem and used the homeowner's concerns to design a custom crawl space solution. In this job, mold prevention was of utmost priority.
At a later date, our crew, led by Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh, installed our patented, proven products. Ken and his crewman encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. They installed a crawl space floor drain to protect the crawl space from flooding, in this case, in the event of a plumbing leak.
In the basement, the crew installed our SaniDry Sedona. This dehumidifier drains automatically and has a humidity sensor that monitors the air, so once it's installed, there's nothing else to do. Ken and his crewman tied the Sedona into the existing floor drain.
The homeowner can now enjoy a healthier home!
The side wall of this Morgantown, WV basement needed to be stabilized. The back wall had cracked in the center and was bowing inwards. Homeowners Todd and Heather called Baker’s for a way to restoring the wall.
In August of 2014 Service Advisor Shawn Evans inspected and proposed our most recommended wall restoration system, Geo Lock wall anchors. These anchors utilize the inerior and exterior sides of the wall. Shawn also had our CleanSpace wall liner applied over top once the anchors were installed. The liner will have the ability to have drywall applied overtop to finish the basement.
Richard of Morgantown had a giant 3346 sq. ft. crawl space that was looking pretty gross to say the least. It was dirty, damp, and now even moldy. Upset, Richard called Baker’s Waterproofing for a way to encapsulate his crawl space.
After the free inspection his service advisor was able to determine the best possible solution to addressing all the issues Richard was having in his crawl space. To encapsulate, 3356 sq. ft. of CleanSpace crawl space liner was applied to the entire area. To address the mold and odor first Mold X Cleaner was sprayed to the affected areas. We also installed 2 SaniDry dehumidifying and air filtration systems. SaniDry dehumidifiers are at their best under the worst basement conditions. All the key components in a SaniDry dehumidifier (coil, fan & condenser) are much larger than the components used in household models. We also installed 3 SmartPumps. SmartPumps are specifically designed to pump water out of crawl spaces, while at the same time, are effective to keeping the liner's air tight seal.
After the installation of these patented products it is easy to see that Richard was very happy that his crawl space was odor free and waterproofed!
What began with having excessive dampness Scott of Morgantown WV was starting to receive large puddles of water on the floor of his basement which was disturbing his storage area.

In addition to these products, he also had purchased 3 ft. of Trench drain that was installed where water enters the basement most frequently, and 2 ft, of Clean Space wall liner to seal in water along the back wall.
After the installation of these great patented products, Scott was happy that his storage area was dry and back in action!
