More than happy to return to the couple’s home, their Service Advisor recommended that an ElastoMeric coating be applied to the concrete slab porch. The coating applied consists of a basecoat and topcoat all of which create a strong preventative barrier for water. The coating comes in 2 specific applications; it can be used for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The ElastoMeric coating was a success and Albert and Dorothy were happy that Baker’s once again was able to give them a dry basement!

Baker’s created stability to a bowed basement wall in South Park Pa by installing 6 GeoLock wall anchors. The installation of the anchors uses a torqueing method that anchors earth plates submerged in the soil of the yard to wall plates attached to the wall, connected by a steel rod. This connection holds the wall in place and prevents any further movement. Over time the connection can be tightened and allows the chance of wall straightening.

A board member at The United Methodist Church in Glassport PA called Baker’s to look at the church’s musty smelling and wet basement.
We inspected the multi-room area and proposed an internal basement waterproofing system that would eliminate any puddling water along the floor. This consisted of installing WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the rear and right block foundation walls where the leak was occurring. WaterGuard is easily rested on the footer and is designed to collect running water along the foundation and water by the floor seem. In companion to the french drain we installed a SuperSump sump pump. The Super will move water outside of the basement at a rate of 2,500 gallons water per hour.
No matter how large or small these patented and warranted products by Baker’s will keep this church dry for years to come!
This New Kensington homeowner has lived here for over 30 years and plans to live out the rest of her life in this home. All 4 basement walls had already began to bow when she purchased the house, but it has continued to get worse over the years. The homeowner's goal is to stabilize the wall to increase overall home value, so her children could eventually sell the house. She also needed to address her leaking basement walls, because an old system from one of our competitors was no longer functioning.
Our foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew addressed both the bowed basement walls and water leakage problem. To properly stabilize, and potentially straighten, all 4 basement walls, our service advisor proposed that our production crew install 26 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Our crew carefully dug holes in strategically mapped out locations about 12 feet away from the foundation walls. They drove our galvanized steel rods through the wall to these locations. The rods were connected to our heavy-duty 16'' by 16'' galvanized earth anchors embedded in the soil. The earth anchors were then connected to our 12'' by 28'' wall plates in the basement interior. The system was in place and tightened for complete stabilization.
Our crew also installed 126 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System all around the 8-foot wall. Tom and his crew tucked the wall system behind the homeowner's existing paneling. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier will keep the entirety of this basement moisture free. It has a 25 year warranty for wear and tear, so neither the homeowner nor her children will have to worry about its durability. Our team definitely improved the home value with our permanent stabilization and waterproofing solutions.
The stoop at a Murrysville, PA home developed significant voids underneath. The homeowners have been living here for the past 16 years, and have no intention of moving elsewhere. The homeowners' goal was to fill in the voids below the concrete slab as to stop rodents from digging even larger holes. The couple needed a solution that would both fill in the voids and raise their sunken stoop. They called into our Appointment Center, and one of our Customer Service Representatives set them up with a free estimate.
Our Service Advisor, Nick Freda, completed a thorough inspection at the home. On the day of the appointment, Nick bid our PolyLevel slab solution and printed out the proposal for the homeowners.
Our Foreman, Scott Clark, and his crew installed our state-of-the-art slab solution. Our crew dug small, penny-sized holes in strategically-located areas, then installed injection ports. Next, they injected our PolyLevel foam into the voids below the concrete stoop. To finish this quick-and-easy installation, Scott sealed the holes, leaving minimal disruption to the existing concrete. Our crew permanently lifted and stabilized the couple's sunken concrete slab thanks to our high-density polyurethane formula.
A homeowner in Latrobe, PA had a damp crawl space, which we had previously repaired. About one year later, she reached out to us to fix her wet basement and damp floor.
Our production crew installed 44 feet of our DryTrak Baseboard Drain. Unlike our drains installed below the floor, DryTrak is permanently epoxied above the floor. This is the ideal solution for monolithic floors that would be extremely difficult to dig through. This above-floor drain will help direct water to the homeowner's existing sump pump system.
The crew addressed the damp floor with our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring. The homeowner chose a beautiful dark walnut finish for her new waterproof flooring. ThermalDry Flooring is great if you want the warm look of wood, but not the worry of water damage.
Water had been seeping through all 4 foundation walls in an old farmhouse in Beallsville, OH. The homeowner was concerned with these serious water issues. He plans to make this a rental property, so he added a waterproofing project to his list of home repairs.
Our Certified Waterproofing Professional, Mike Felt, completed an inspection of the farmhouse. He designed a custom solution to effectively repair the wet basement.
Our Foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh, and his crew installed our TripleSafe sump pump system, WaterGuard below-floor drain, TrenchDrain grated drainage pipe, CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, IceGuard discharge line protection, and LawnScape underground discharge outlet. The CleanSpace vapor barrier will prevent moisture and humidity from entering the basement and will direct all leaks into the drainage system below. All water that tries to enter the basement will be channeled from TrenchDrain and WaterGuard into our sump pump. TripleSafe contains a powerful Zoeller pump on a stand, lid and liner, and WaterWatch alarm. The discharge line runs through the foundation wall and extends underground far away from the foundation. On the home's exterior, IceGuard, an anti-freeze and anti-clog fitting, was installed on the discharge line. The discharge line extends underground and allows water to daylight through LawnScape's lawn-colored, grated outlet.
With a dry basement, the homeowner can rest assured that his soon-to-be rental property now has much greater market value!
A contractor worked with our team and the property owner to schedule a waterproofing and wall repair project for a house in Greensburg, PA. The owner plans to place the house on the market, but first had to fix the wet, moldy basement and bowing garage and basement walls.
Our crew, led by Foreman David Cain, successfully completed these major home improvement projects. David and his crew fixed the bowing walls with our Geo-Lock wall anchor system. The job required 15 anchors to permanently stabilize the walls, prevent further inward movement, and potentially return the wall back to its original position. Next, our crew cleaned mold off the walls (about 167 feet) with our Mold-X2 stain remover. Once the mold was taken care of, they installed our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain, vapor barrier directly above the drain, TripleSafe sump pump system, and LawnScape underground discharge extension.
The crew installed our wall and waterproofing systems in less than 1 week.
A dirt crawl space in Latrobe, PA was causing serious problems in the rest of the house. Outside air would leak into the basement and filter throughout the home. In the winter months, freezing cold air seeped through any openings and cracks in the foundation. In the summer months, hot and humid air filtered would do the same, creating a hospitable environment for mold. The homeowner also wanted to prevent the earth's moisture from sitting in the dirt crawl space.
Our professionally trained Service Advisor, Bob Massaro, inspected the inside and outside of the home. Bob designed a custom crawl space solution that would provide a dry, healthy, and structurally sound home. He took the homeowner's concerns into consideration before finalizing the proposal. The homeowner was confident in our honest work, so we scheduled the project.
Our crew, led by Ken Kahlbaugh, installed a variety of patented crawl space products. This included our CleanSpace liner and drainage matting, TerraBlock floor insulation, and SilverGlo wall insulation. We also sealed off any cracks and holes with spray foam to prevent outside air from leaking into the home. This crawl space has been turned into a healthy part of the home now that we have controlled the moisture, sealed off the walls, and encapsulated the walls and floors.
A homeowner identified a water problem near the exterior of the home. Two faulty downspout extensions leaked water near the foundation walls. If left alone, this could have led to serious water problems on the inside of the home, but luckily there is a simple, cost-effective fix!
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Tom Faessel, inspected the home and proposed our LawnScape underground downspout extension be installed for a permanent solution. After the homeowner hired Baker's Waterproofing for the project, our crew arrived with the necessary products and tools. First, Rich Rotolo and his crewman removed the old extensions and removed the sod. Then, they connected PVC pipe to each existing downspout and ran the piping underground, away from the foundation. Next, the crew connected the pipes, then tied it into our LawnScape well. The only visible part is the green LawnScape outlet that rests flush with the lawn. For the last step, Rich and his crew replaced the dirt and sod in the yard.
Now, water drainage from the roof is directed far away from the home and onto the surface through the LawnScape underground downspout extension.
After 22 years of living in an Apollo home and several years of basement issues, it was time to make a healthy change for this 100-year-old house. The uneven fieldstone foundation allowed water and mud to enter the home and ruin the walls and floor during every rain. When a heavy rainstorm passed through, the homeowner would find inches of water in his basement!
Now, he doesn't have to deal with these headaches. The homeowner called our team for a free on-site visit to identify the problem and design a long-term waterproofing solution. On another day, our crew arrived at the house to install the proposed waterproofing system.
Covering up these unsightly walls and installing a waterproofing membrane was a must. Our CleanSpace wall system is a 100% waterproof barrier that easily installs on uneven foundation walls. One feature of our vapor barrier is that it will never support mildew or mold growth on its surface.
We installed our drainage system to catch and control all of the water leaks. The WaterGuard drainage system rests just below the basement's floor slab to catch groundwater that enters at the foundation wall-floor joint. The CleanSpace wall system is tucked behind WaterGuard's wall flange, so our waterproofing system will successfully catch all moisture that enters through the walls.
The drainage system will direct all water into our top-of-the-line TripleSafe sump pump system. Once water enters our airtight sump pump, it is discharged to the outside of the home. We added an extension to the discharge lines, called LawnScape. In this case, LawnScape includes 15 feet of underground piping that channels water from the sump pump system out to the yard. Now, groundwater that tries to enter the basement will daylight through our barely noticeable LawnScape outlet.
Our crew successfully dried up the basement in just 3 days.
A homeowner is selling her home after she'd been living there for years. As she prepared her home for the market, she noticed cracks along her foundation wall. She was unsure if she wanted to fix it or negotiate with the buyer, but she scheduled a free inspection with Baker’s Waterproofing.
Our Certified Foundation Repair Specialist inspected the home and designed a custom solution. Two cracks ran horizontally along the concrete block wall with a bow at 1 inch. This foundation issue greatly decreases the value of the home and, over time, it will only get worse. The homeowner decided to schedule the work before listing the house on the market.
Our crew installed 5 Geo-Lock wall anchors to permanently stabilize the home’s foundation. The system works by placing heavy-duty earth anchors far away from the foundation and connecting interior anchors with long, galvanized rods. Now, the home's foundation is structurally sound and ready to be listed!
A homeowner noticed that his driveway slabs have been slowly sinking, getting worse over the years (photo below). Eventually, he grew worried that it was now a tripping hazard around his home. He wants to reverse this safety issue with a solution he can trust to level his driveway.
Tom provided a free inspection and estimate for these sinking concrete slabs. He designed a custom proposal that addressed the homeowner's and his wife's concerns. They plan to stay at their home for many more years, so they chose our permanent PolyLevel solution to lift and stabilize their driveway once and for all.
Scott and his crew injected our PolyLevel formula into the gaps beneath the sunken slabs. This stabilized the settled soils and expanded in the empty voids to lift and permanently stabilize the concrete. These driveway slabs were lifted about 3 inches nearly back to level. No more tripping hazards!

Now the homeowner has a sealed and protected driveway!
This Herminie, PA homeowner and her daughter noticed extreme cracking, bowing, and shearing in her basement walls. They wanted to permanently stabilize the foundation before it got any worse, so they called Baker's Waterproofing for a free estimate.
Our service advisor Mark McCullough came to the home and surveyed the entire basement. He noted that one wall was shearing 2.5 inches. He designed a solution that would keep the foundation wall from moving or cracking any further.
Dave Allen and his crew installed 7 Geo-Lock wall anchors along the one wall in this basement.
The foundation walls in this home are now permanently stabilized.
A homeowner in New Alexandria, PA called Baker's Waterproofing after cleaning up five gallons of water in their basement and garage. She had a leaking basement and garage for over 5 years, and she did not want to deal with the buckets anymore.
Our waterproofing and foundation repair specialist Don Stiffler conducted a free no-obligation estimate of the entire home. He designed a custom waterproofing solution to keep this basement and garage dry.
In only one day, Foreman Jacob Shumar and his crew installed 51 feet of WaterGuard drainage system and 2 TripleSafe sump pumps, one in the basement and one in the garage. A buried discharge pipe was installed on the exterior to take all water away from the foundation of the home and out the LawnScape outlet.
Now, the homeowner can get rid of those buckets...no more water to clean up!
A couple in Ruffs Dale, PA had horizontal cracking and forward bowing of their basement wall. They also had cracks expanding from their windows, and the basement door was sticking when opened and shut.
Pressure from pooling water outside the foundation was causing the wall to bow inward. The couple called our office and scheduled a free inspection with one of our service advisors.
Chris Shrontz inspected the cracks and designed a solution to take care of the bowing wall. He also recommended a waterproofing solution that would get rid of basement leaks.
Foreman Martin Maxwell and his crew assembled 6 Geo-Lock anchors that extend out from the interior wall to stable soils about 12 feet from the home in order to permanently stabilize the wall.
Martin installed CleanSpace wall vapor barrier on the anchored wall to protect against moisture and humidity. This leads any leaks down into the WaterGuard drainage system we installed at the foundation footing. The drainage system gets water leaks to the TripleSafe sump pump and lets it surface at the LawnScape outlet on the outside of the home.
This couple now has a permanently stable wall and a dry basement!
A homeowner in Vandergrift, PA had a sinking concrete driveway. Sinking for many years caused the concrete to crack and some of the joints to separate between slabs. He had seen Baker's Waterproofing in a magazine ad, and called for a free inspection.
Sales Advisor Mark McCullough is a trained Waterproofing, Foundation Repair, and Concrete specialist. He surveyed the driveway, and decided what solutions would be best for the homeowner.
The homeowner called in to schedule his installation the next day.
Our crew of Darren and Scott installed PolyLevel foam into the empty voids beneath all of the slabs on the driveway. NexusPro joint sealant was filled between the slabs to help keep water from getting into the joints. Additionally, a few cracks were sealed with NexusPro.
The homeowner no longer has a sloped and cracked driveway!
A couple in Stahlstown, PA bought a home that was built in the 1880's. The basement had leaky walls and evidence of mold growth. They were concerned that the incoming water was damaging their stone foundation and that it would be difficult to sell the home in the future with these issues.
They had seen Baker's Waterproofing advertisements in local newspapers and magazines, so they knew who to call when they discovered these issues.
Our trained Service Advisor Mark McCullough performed a free inspection at the home. He designed a proposal custom to this basement that would keep the space dry all of the time.
He suggested a full perimeter drainage system that would lead to a TripleSafe sump pump. Mold X-2 would be sprayed on the walls and then covered with the CleanSpace vapor barrier. This protects the basement against moisture coming through the walls and limits mold growth.
The system would discharge on the exterior out the LawnScape outlet and would be protected from freezing or clogging by the IceGuard fitting.
Mark's designed solution would ensure the couple has a dry, usable living space.
A couple in Sutersville, PA had a 5' high leaky crawlspace that was infested with mold. The mold was starting to grow in upper levels of the home, and was giving off a strong, musty odor.
They were having Mold Men of Pittsburgh come to remove the mold, but they wanted the space to say mold-free moving forward. Mold Men refered them to Baker's Waterproofing for a permanent solution.
Service Advisor Justin Lowden conducted a free inspection of the crawlspace. He wanted to ensure the homeowners that outside air would stay out and not have any effect on the crawlspace or the upper levels of the home.
The couple had plans to sell the home in the near future, so they decided to schedule the installation right then.
Foreman Jacob Shumar led the installation in the crawlspace. He installed a drainage system and sump pump in the crawlspace to displace any incoming water to the exterior of the home. He placed drainage matting on the dirt floor and encapsulated the floor and walls with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This vapor barrier keeps water and humidity from passing through.
Jacob put vent covers on the inside and outside of the vents to ensure that the crawlspace air remains the right humidity and temperature. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier helps keep those measures regulated.
The couple can now sell their home knowing the crawlspace will not be a problem for the future owner.
