Waterproofing and Wall Stabilization in Mount Lebanon

Waterproofing and Wall Stabilization in Mount Lebanon Waterproofing and Wall Stabilization in Mount Lebanon

There was a lot going on in this Mount Lebanon finished basement. Homeowner Derek had puddles of water forming on the floor and excessive dampness on the walls. He also noticed inward facing movement along the concrete block front wall. Baker’s was there with a solution. We installed our signature waterproofing system including our WaterGuard interior drain around the perimeter basement walls with a SuperSump sump pump to pump water outside. Additionally we placed our CleanSpace wall liner to protect from the further water damage. Lastly to repair the bowing basement wall we installed our Channel wall anchors to stabilize the wall in place.

A Mount Lebanon home had a bowed wall that needed repaired. Baker’s Waterproofing determined that our most recommended wall restoration system, GeoLock wall anchors were unusable since the exterior yard was technically owned by neighbors. Instead we were effectively able to repair and stabilize the bowing basement wall with Carbon Armor straps. Carbon Armor is 10x stronger than steel and is the same technology used by engineers to repair skyscrapers, bomb shelters, and bridges.

Karen of Pittsburgh PA needed to stabilize the left foundation wall that was beginning to settle or sink away from the rest of his home. To restore the structural foundation, Baker’s Waterproofing and Foundation Repair installed our patented Push Pier system. This consists of attaching brackets to the exposed footer and hydraulically driving long steel piers into the load bearing soil below. Once in place the piers prevent any further movement and even provide the possibility of lifting back to its original position.

We recently purchased our house and are looking to finish the basement. We understand that there was on very few occasions some water that entered the home after a heavy rain and therefore there is a dark line towards the bottom of the basement floor. We's like to understand what we need to do in order to prevent any water in the future from entering the home so we can get it finished without future problems. Additionally in the garage on the same wall there are some hairline cracks that we'd like to have assessed and filled.

We bought our house last year in the Mt Lebanon area, and have concerns about cracks in the garage/basement floor and possible settling. We would like to get an opinion on any structural issues and how to improve the situation. There may also be some water/drainage issues that we could look at, but the major concern is long-term structural settling. Please let me know if you can schedule an appointment to take a look and give an estimate. Otherwise I would be glad to send some pictures and describe some of the detailed issues and crack concerns (floor, walls, ceiling, etc.) on the phone. Thanks for your time.

We have a basement wall with a slight bow that could use some preventative carbon fiber straps. Also recently during the heavy rains, our ground level basement exit door has developed a leak both at the door and the interior ceiling in front of the door.
Vicinity of Rae Avenue in Pittsburgh
We are looking to buy a home and the water from the rear downspouts is not properly draining. One is draining directly to the earth and the other is connected to an underground drain, but not properly, causing some minor foundation issues. We are hoping to get an estimate for roughly how much this might cost. Thanks, Adam

We have a retaining wall alongside our driveway that seems to be pulling away from the driveway. It looks like it is leaving out ~2 inches. The wall is leaning the correct way until about halfway up the 5 foot retaining wall at that point it beings to lean outward. The wall is in place so the driveway is flat. It holds back the dirt in out yard and is directly on the property line. The section of wall is approx 40 feet in length. It is a stone wall with mortar and I'm unsure of the age. I would like to know what should be done to keep the wall from failing.
