A realtor office located in Morgantown West Virginia had a wet, musty and leaking crawl space that needed to be repaired before it could be sold. To ease the concern of the property owner Service Advisor Shawn suggested the installation of a vapor barrier that would encapsulate the space from the dirt floor and porous foundation. The encapsulation system uses CleanSpace liner, which is similar in nature to a pool liner, to provide a safe area to hold storage.
This garage located in Morgantown West Virginia was experiencing water settling in and outside of the structure. To ease the concerns of the homeowner, Baker's suggested the installation of WaterGuard, a trench drain as well as the SuperSump sump pump system. Additionally along the walls, which were clearly chipping due to dampness, white plastic waterproof strips called BrightWall were mechanically fastened to the wall.
This SuperSump pump is a great asset if you have a finished basement, or have the intention of finishing. This sump comes with a solid air-tight lid, allowing carpet or other flooring systems able to be applied over top. The Super has the ability of pumping roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of a basement!

Sandy of Butler, PA was having BOTH foundation and water issues in her home. Her 60 ft. back wall was bowing, and in the left corner of her basement water was starting to leak inside during heavy storms. Yikes! Baker’s came to her home and provided the best solution for her specific problem.
To address the bowing wall, 9 Carbon Armor reinforcement straps were installed. These straps are strong! Carbon Armor is a fiber-reinforced polymer that is 10 times stronger than steel and is specifically designed for basement walls. Once installed the wall is stabilized and will not move any further.
A waterproofing solution, which consisted of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage and a SuperSump sump pump, was installed as a way to collect and reroute water outside of the basement. Additionally since the walls were porous CleanSpace vapor barrier system was hung to protect the area from wall leakage and condensation from seeping onto the floor.
What began with having excessive dampness Scott of Morgantown WV was starting to receive large puddles of water on the floor of his basement which was disturbing his storage area.
After the inspection by Baker's, Scott had a Super Sump sump pump, and 22 ft. of Water Guard drainage system installed. In addition to these products, he also had purchased 3 ft. of Trench drain that was installed where water enters the basement most frequently, and 2 ft, of Clean Space wall liner to seal in water along the back wall.
After the installation of these great patented products, Scott was happy that his storage area was dry and back in action!
Richard of Morgantown had a giant 3346 sq. ft. crawl space that was looking pretty gross to say the least. It was dirty, damp, and now even moldy. Upset, Richard called Baker’s Waterproofing for a way to encapsulate his crawl space.
After the free inspection his service advisor was able to determine the best possible solution to addressing all the issues Richard was having in his crawl space. To encapsulate, 3356 sq. ft. of CleanSpace crawl space liner was applied to the entire area. To address the mold and odor first Mold X Cleaner was sprayed to the affected areas. We also installed 2 SaniDry dehumidifying and air filtration systems. SaniDry dehumidifiers are at their best under the worst basement conditions. All the key components in a SaniDry dehumidifier (coil, fan & condenser) are much larger than the components used in household models. We also installed 3 SmartPumps. SmartPumps are specifically designed to pump water out of crawl spaces, while at the same time, are effective to keeping the liner's air tight seal.
After the installation of these patented products it is easy to see that Richard was very happy that his crawl space was odor free and waterproofed!

In August of 2014 Service Advisor Shawn Evans inspected and proposed our most recommended wall restoration system, Geo Lock wall anchors. These anchors utilize the inerior and exterior sides of the wall. Shawn also had our CleanSpace wall liner applied over top once the anchors were installed. The liner will have the ability to have drywall applied overtop to finish the basement.
After heavy rains, water would seep through the concrete block walls in a Blacksville, WV basement. The homeowners would discover pooling water, which caused more than just headaches. They were concerned for even bigger problems that their wet basement will create. This includes mold, mildew, rot, structural damage, and health problems.
Our Service Advisor, Jesse Pitcock, met with the homeowner and her son and daughter on the day of the appointment. Jesse inspected the house, designed a custom solution, and presented the information through software that incorporates 3D animation, video, and more. When the homeowner and her children hired us, they had all the information necessary to pick the best company for the project.
Our Foreman, Jason Wade, and his crew installed a variety of patented waterproofing products. This includes our BrightWall Paneling, semi-rigid white plastic panels installed on walls. This wall system drains any water leaks down behind it to the perimeter interior drainage system below. In this project, our crew installed our WaterGuard and FlowGuard draining system, which will channel water into our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The powerful TripleSafe system will discharge water out of the basement and away from the house through buried downspout piping. Water will surface about 15 feet away from the house through our LawnScape Outlet. The lines on the exterior of the home are protected with our IceGuard fitting, which will eject water through slotted openings in the event the pipe lines would clog or freeze.
Rest assured, the Blacksville homeowner and her family can have peace of mind knowing this basement will stay moisture-free!
A homeowner's carpet was soaked through and ruined due to a leaky foundation. The water problem also created concern for mold growth. A son and daughter did not want their mother to continue living in this unhealthy Blacksville, WV home, so they helped schedule her waterproofing project.
We provided our proven waterproofing system to keep the basement dry, restore the health of the home, and put this family's mind at ease.
Our crew installed our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain with FlowGuard, a thin, modified version of WaterGuard. FlowGuard fits on top of a foundation footing when, in this case, a floor slab is too thin to install our standard drain. Water leaking from the wall will be directed behind FlowGuard's wall flange into the WaterGuard drain resting below. Additionally, an inspection port was installed, so our service team could easily access the drainage system in the future.
The WaterGuard drainage system channels all water into our TripleSafe sump pump system. A powerful, reliable sump pump in the system will pump large amounts of water out of the home through our installed discharge line.

This Blacksville home has a full basement with cinder block walls. Water was seeping in through the walls on all sides and there was a fair amount of water damage.
An existing Baker's customer knew we could repair this new home, so he called to schedule a free inspection. He was only interested in waterproofing two walls in his basement at the time. He also did not want a sump pump, but requested that we tie our WaterGuard drain into his existing basement drain. Our crew installed a customized solution to address the homeowner's needs and preferences. Although, we always recommend installing a sump pump. For that reason, we won't cover clogs or backups in his existing drain since it is not our recommended, proven solution.
Our Foreman and his crew installed 43 feet of our unique below-floor drain at the floor-wall joint in the basement to catch flooding water. The crew tied WaterGuard into the floor drain under the foundation footing. Then, they tied the drain pipe into the existing downspout and led it underground 25 feet to daylight in the lawn.
Water is now directed through the drainage piping and led far away from the home's foundation to help keep this basement dry.
