Homeowners in Glen Dale were experiencing water leakage in their finished basement. Water leaked through their walls and along the perimeter of the basement floor. They reached out to us because we completed work for these homeowners in their previous property. They were satisfied with our company and we were happy to work with them again.
Our foreman, Jon Mitchell, and his crew successfully installed our proven waterproofing solutions in only two days. They installed our unique perimeter drainage system (WaterGuard), premier sump pump system (SuperSump), anti-freeze device for the discharge line (IceGuard), downspout extension outlet (LawnScape), and wall vapor barrier (CleanSpace).
Our crew dug a small trench along the specified 76 feet of the basement perimeter. After all debris was removed from the area, they drilled small weep holes directly above the trench in order to drain excess water out of the concrete block walls. Then, they laid clean drainage stone in the trench for WaterGuard to be installed, and poured concrete over our sub-floor drain for a clean finish. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was mechanically attached to the wall with plastic fasteners. Any leaks will be channeled down into our drain through the WaterGuard's flange that extends slightly up the wall. All water in the drain is directed to our SuperSump, which contains a powerful Zoeller 1/3 horsepower cast-iron sump pump. Our crew installed our IceGuard anti-freeze fitting to help eject water away from the home in the event that the discharge lines become clogged or frozen. The discharge lines run water from the sump pump to 2 separate locations in the yard out of each grated LawnScape outlet. This outlet was installed flush with the lawn and blends in perfectly. Rest assured, this Glen Dale basement will remain dry, and our bright white vapor barrier will keep it looking clean!
Homeowners in Glen Dale, WV used to deal with a flooded basement after heavy rains. The homeowners had already finished their basement twice. They wanted a lasting solution, so they could finally finish their basement for good.
Our crew installed our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain, TripleSafe sump pump system, IceGuard discharge protection, and LawnScape underground discharge outlet.
The interior drain rests just below the floor slab around half of the basement where water seeps through the foundation. All water is collected in the drain, where it is then led into our reliable and durable sump pump system. The system's 2 discharge lines run out to the exterior of the home.
The IceGuard discharge protection, an anti-freeze and anti-clog fitting, was installed just outside of the home. This fitting has slotted openings that allows for water to eject from the home in the event that either of the lines clog or freeze. From here, 1 line runs underground about 12 feet away from the home. All water that tries to enter the basement will be discharged and surface at the end of the line, which is hidden by our grated LawnScape outlet.
This project was completed in 1 day.
In 2015, Mrs. Homeowner and her family bought a new house in Moundsville, WV. For about 2 years, they had been dealing with a musty, damp crawl space beneath the first floor of the home. She began to worry that the moisture would create a livable space for mold growth. With her family's allergies in mind, she knew the crawl space needed to be a dry, healthy environment.
We inspected the crawl space as well as the outside of the home. Then, we sat down with the homeowner to learn more about these concerns to create a custom solution that her family would be happy with. She was pleased with the proposal, and immediately hired us for the project. At a later date, our crew arrived at the residence to install our SmartSump crawl space sump pump, CleanSpace liner, CleanSpace vent covers, IceGuard discharge protection, and LawnScape underground discharge extension.
It is important to first install a waterproofing system before encapsulating the crawl space with a liner. Then, just as vital to a healthy space, our airtight vent covers keep outside air away, along with all the moisture, pests, winter cold, and summer heat it brings with it.
This project was completed in just 2 days!
Retired homeowners have lived in Moundsville for 14 years. They don’t use the basement much anymore, but they're tired of cleaning it up after heavy rains. Over the last 14 years, these rains allowed flooding water into the basement soaking into their finished carpeting. The homeowners wanted to make all necessary repairs before selling the house to their adult children.
They called Baker's Waterproofing to learn which options are best to keep the basement maintained as a dry, usable space. Mike, our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, inspected the finished basement with the homeowners alongside. Then, he designed a partial drainage system and printed the estimate that same day. They were pleased with our installation process, products, and company, so they hired us for the wet basement repairs.
Our crew installed our TripleSafe sump pump system, WaterGuard below-floor drain, and 2 inspection ports. Theron and his crew removed only enough paneling and furring strips to properly install the system. The crew dug a small perimeter trench along 55 feet of the wet basement and dug a small sump hole. They placed our custom-size WaterGuard drain and TripleSafe system in a bed of clean gravel just below the floor. The fully-equipped TripleSafe sump pump system includes a cast-iron Zoeller 1/3 hp pump, cast-iron Zoeller 1/2 hp secondary pump, and our long-lasting UltraSump battery backup system. The sump pump discharge lines connect into one new and one existing downspout extension.
Once everything was in working order, Theron and his crew back-filled the trench and sump hole with more gravel, then hand-poured fresh concrete. They cleaned up the newly repaired basement and walked the homeowners through the job one last time.
Their new, proven waterproofing system catches flooding water and directs it out of the basement and away from the home. After 14 years of cleaning up water, this home now has a dry, healthy space that their children will enjoy stress-free!
A husband and wife from Proctor, WV spoke with one of our Service Advisors at the Wheeling Home and Garden Show. The couple informed him about their leaking crawl space and partially leaking basement. After the home show, they scheduled a time for a free inspection.
During the inspection, the homeowners discussed how they did not need their crawlspace for storage, but they did want it to be clean and dry. They also wanted to find a solution for a leaking corner in the basement.
Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh and his crew fixed the homeowners' nasty crawl space with our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier and drain pipe. The leaking basement area was treated with our TripleSafe sump pump and buried WaterGuard/FlowGuard drainage system.
The sump pump system will ensure that any water in the crawlspace or basement will exit the home. The water will run through our LawnScape underground extension to surface in the yard, and the IceGuard fitting was installed in case of clogging or freezing.
Now, the homeowners have a clean and dry crawlspace and basement!
A real estate agent was selling a home in Benwood, WV. The seller had not reported any water issues, but the inspector noticed one corner of the finished basement was moist. The agent suggested the seller get it fixed before they close on the home.
Service Advisor Scott Johnson performed a free estimate at the home. He took note of the troubled areas and expressed a few different options for repair with the seller's real estate agent.
The homeowner decided on a solution that best fit their needs.
Foreman Bryan Telegraphis installed 25 feet of the below-floor drainage system WaterGuard at the bottom of the damp wall to catch any moisture. A single pump TripleSafe sump pump was placed in the corner to take any water to the exterior where it would exit through the LawnScape outlet.
The homeowner can now sell the completely dry home!
