Kevin was looking to buy a lovely home in Fairmont, WV. Although it was a great house the back wall was bowing significantly 1¼” in the worst area. Kevin still wanted to purchase the house, so he called Baker’s Waterproofing to look into stabilizing the wall.
We repaired the wall by installing 9 GeoLock wall anchors. The anchoring system utilizes exterior and interior installation to hold the wall securely in place. The wall can even be straightened over time. All jobs come with 25 year warranty, and are usually installed in less than a day.
Afterwards, Kevin was able to purchase the home of his dreams!
David of Fairmont, WV had both water and structural damages going on in his basement. Water was coming in through the perimeter walls along the floor, and 3 of the foundation walls were bowing.
To stabilize the wall we installed zinc-plated vertical steel beams called PowerBraces to the wall to hold in place. This is a great solution if the outside is not accessible for anchors. The wall can even be straightened over time.
In the basement our WaterGuard sub-floor drain was placed around the perimeter for full protection of the area with 2 connected SuperSump sump pumps to move water outside.
The installation was a success and David was happy that his lovely basement was back to normal once again.
Paige wanted to sell her home in the near future, but couldn’t due to her leaky and vulnerable crawl space. Paige called Baker’s for a way to encapsulate the area.

He also added 6 SmartJacks steel piers that were able to stabilize the foundation.
Baker’s provided a waterproofing solution that protected the inside as well as the outside of this Washington PA property. The basement had water coming through the front wall of the foundation, and from the ceiling above from the concrete porch.
In the basement we installed a SuperSump pump system, WaterGuard drainage along the front wall, and a vapor barrier liner called CleanSpace. To the porch, we applied an ElastoMeric coating that seals away water from seeping down into the basement area below.
Bill and Marianne of Rivesville WV had water coming in along the left side and rear walls of their basement. Along the right facing wall, they had a slight bow that was only getting worse, not better.
The homeowners decided to call Baker’s for a free estimate on a repair solution to both problems. An inspection conducted by Service Advisor Don Stiffler determined that the best solution was to install a perimeter french drain against the leaking foundation with a connected sump pump system. We used our patented WaterGuard sub-floor drain and SuperSump pump system.
To fix the bow, we installed 6 vertical CarbonArmor straps to the block wall. CarbonArmor is a long lasting, low-key solution that will keep the wall from further movement. It is a highly recommended solution when the outside is not accessible.
Another home fixed by Baker's!
A house in Fairmont, WV needed protection against water seeping through the foundation walls. The homeowner's daughter contacted our team to express valid concerns for this damp basement. The daughter wanted to find a reliable solution for this problem, while she helps her mother complete a variety of other home improvement projects.
Our installation crew was led by Foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh. The crew installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, IceGuard discharge line protection, and LawnScape Outlet. Our unique perimeter drainage system was placed just below the floor and on top of the footing to effectively collect all leaks and prevent system clogs. WaterGuard connects to our TripleSafe Sump Pump System to keep all water out of the basement.
The IceGuard system is our anti-freeze fitting that installs on the sump pump discharge line on the exterior of the home. In the event the lines clog or freeze, the fitting has slotted openings that ejects water away from the foundation. On a normal basis, water will be discharged away from the home through our LawnScape Outlet, an underground downspout extension.
Now that Ken and his crew completed this waterproofing project, the daughter can focus on helping her mother complete the rest of their home renovations!
A homeowner in Mannington had been dealing with the headache of a wet basement since she first moved into the house. She always found puddling water in her basement after steady rainfall. Recently, she wanted to get this problem fixed to finally utilize this part of her home for dry storage space.
Jesse inspected the inside and outside of this home and took several measurements. He designed a custom system that worked with her monolithic foundation to address the water issue. Our crew installed 57 feet of the DryTrak baseboard drain. They epoxied the drain directly to the floor and left a slight opening along the top to collect water leaking in from the walls. Then, they lead to drain into our TripleSafe sump pump system.
The homeowner did not want to paint her basement walls, which is why our bright, white vapor barrier appealed to her. Our crew installed the water-resistant CleanSpace system on all of the basement walls. CleanSpace successfully brightened up the room, and it can direct wall leaks down into the drainage system below.
Water that enters the TripleSafe system is pumped out of the house through an extended discharge pipe. The pipe leads through the foundation to the outside of the home where it daylights at our grated LawnScape outlet.

After they scheduled a free estimate with Baker's Waterproofing, the homeowners were given a full tailored report on their crawlspace from our service advisor Jesse Pitcock. He made sure to completely encapsulate the crawlspace and minimize any other worries from the homeowner.
Our crew installed drainage matting on top of the dirt floor and our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier on the crawlspace walls and floor. Vent covers were installed to keep outside air away. Last, our Sani-Dry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to ensure that mold and dust were filtered out of the home's crawlspace.
