We not only adhere to the highest industry standards, we strive to be the industry leader in the home improvement related services we provide. We also use state-of-the-art products and technology which are designed to fix your home. We are the authorized Basement Systems dealer in Lawrence, PA.
Denise of New Castle, PA had water coming into her basement from all possible areas.
Service Advisor Chris Shrontz came to the home and assessed pricing and products that would be needed to fix her specific problem. He determined that our patented TripleSafe sump pump, and 128 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system would be used. As additional products 12 ft. of LawnScape downspout extensions, and IceGuard downspout freeze protector were also installed.
Water Guard is our sub-floor drainage system and a key component to our waterproofing system; it is installed along the footer of your home against the wall by creating a trench. Since water was entering from all areas, WaterGuard was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement (128 ft.), and was connected to the TripleSafe.
The TripleSafe sump pump is a great choice for basements that leak heavy amounts of water. This sump contains 3 pumps in one and even includes 1 pump that will work even if there is a power failure. After these products were installed cocnrete was applied over the drain and around the TripleSafe to restore the floor.
From the TripleSafe, water will be pumped out to our LawnScape downspout extensions and will flow 12 ft. away from the home. We also installed IceGuard which acts as a way to allow water to flow even in extreme cold temperatures when there is a chance that water will freeze over.
Gene of Ellwood City was having concern for the safety of his concrete slab porch. He noticed that the slab had sunk roughly 3 1/2" against the side of his house. After seeing advertising for our newest product, PolyLEVEL Gene decided to call Baker’s for a free estimate. PolyLEVEL is lightweight expanding polymer foam that is easily inserted underneath concrete through penny sized holes.
There are numerous benefits to using PolyLEVEL as opposed to other concrete lifting options. Firstly PolyLEVEL is an affordable and permanent solution. The product will last roughly 80 years and is completely waterproof. It is also a fast-acting and noninvasive solution. The expanding polymer reaches its final strength rather quickly and is ready to support full weight 15 minutes after the installation; whereas the process of mud jacking takes an entire day! To add, polymer foam and the equipment used are by far less messy than mud jacking.
The installation of PolyLEVEL only lasted a few hours and Gene was happy that is porch was now completely level and free from any dangerous trip hazards!
Since Mike and Diane of Ellwood City have moved into their home they have been experiencing water seeping into their basement during all rain conditions. Generally water has been entering from the back wall where the floor and wall meet.
In June of 2015 Service Advisor Tom Faessel conducted the free estimate of the basement. After the inspection, he proposed our most recommend interior drainage system, WaterGuard to the back wall where water was entering. He also had our patented Super Sump sump pump installed.
Lastly as an additional product to the system, Mike and Diane purchased our LawnScape downspout extensions that is used to extend the downspout underground to divert water further away from the home.
The cracked wall of Jay’s basement was preventing him from closing the deal on selling his New Castle, PA home. The wall was not just cracking it was bowing and needed to stabilized. After attempting to fix the problem himself with no resolution he called Baker’s.
We stabilized the wall with our low-key CarbonArmor straps. The straps were applied to the wall with epoxy resin to hold it in place. CarbonArmor is 10x stronger than steel, so it is s a very reliable solution to repairing bowing, bucking, and tipping basement walls.
Mr. and Mrs. Homeowner have been experiencing water leakage problems in their basement ever since their cellar doors were installed. They needed a solution that would prevent water from flooding in through the basement door. This New Castle home is prone to water seepage every time it rains. With our solutions, these homeowners will never again have to deal with the headaches of a wet, humid basement.
Our foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our proven waterproofing solutions. Our unique WaterGuard sub-floor drain rests above the foundation footing. However, our crew also needed to install our FlowGuard thin floor drain. FlowGuard was installed just below the concrete floor and the WaterGuard down below. This product is used when a standard sized drain does not fit between the floor and footing. Our crew also installed our Trench Drain, so any water that would enter through the cellar doors would flow into the grated drain pipe. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump System rests in the corner of the basement. The system will pump water out of the basement and away from the foundation. Also, our crew installed 1 foot of our BrightWall Paneling along the perimeter of the basement walls (about 70 feet). This durable, plastic liner was attached to the wall behind the drainage system.
With our combination of high-quality products, these homeowners can sleep well knowing their basement will stay dry!
In Renfrew, PA in 2013, a partially finished basement was experiencing water problems.
Water made its way through this imperfect foundation, an extremely common issue for any structure. This problem ruined the homeowner's flooring and made the basement an unlivable, unhealthy space.
For this reason, it was about the time that she call a team of waterproofing experts to remedy her wet basement. One of our Certified Waterproofing Professional and Certified Foundation Repair Specialists designed a custom waterproofing solution for the homeowner. At a later date, our Foreman and his crew installed our unique internal drainage system, drain inspection port, sump pump system, trench drain, and underground discharge extension.
WaterGuard and FlowGuard below-floor drains were placed on top of clean drainage stone in a small perimeter trench around the basement. The crew dug a small sump pit in the low-lying corner of the basement and installed a sump pump system. After careful installation, the trench and sump pit were back-filled with more stone and given a clean finish with new hand-poured concrete.
Our LawnScape outlet is an underground extension of the discharge line that allows water to surface f from the home.
These systems ensure all water will be discharged out of the basement and will daylight far away from the foundation, so the homeowner does not have to worry about water re-entering the walls and floors!
A woman from Ellwood City had water problems as long as she's owned her home--12 years. Over this time, the water issue became worse and new areas in the basement began to leak. She called Baker's Waterproofing to figure out a solution.
Doug thoroughly inspected this unusual home. The basement was once a crawl space, but it was dug out years ago to become the small room it is today. Doug found an existing hole with water in it, but there was no sump pump. The homeowner didn't care if water was in the basement, but only wanted a way to pump it out.
A homeowner in Pulaski, PA contacted us a few years ago. He was interested in repairing his concrete pool deck. He also had a basement water problem he wanted us to inspect, so he could eventually get started on a new basement finishing project.
Our Certified Specialist, Doug Ross, inspected the concrete pads around the pool as well as the inside and outside of the leaking foundation. After inspection, Doug determined what the issues were and the homeowner asked him to provide separate proposals for concrete repair and wet basement repair work.
The homeowner chose our team to complete the project after discussing the solutions with his wife.
We installed our PolyLevel foam to stabilize, raise, and level the concrete pads around the pool deck. We also installed our proven basement waterproofing system to control leaks and keep water out of the basement. This system included our TripleSafe sump pump system and 41 feet of below-floor perimeter WaterGuard drain on the interior. Outside, we connected our slotted IceGuard fitting on the sump pump discharge line and extended the underground line to our LawnScape outlet.
About 1 year after we successfully fixed the husband's and wife's basement and pool deck, they reached out to us again. This was for a new basement area that we did not yet service. They were interested in having additional waterproofing work tied into their existing system.
Doug returned, completed an additional inspection, and helped them schedule the add-on repairs. We installed another 29 feet of our WaterGuard drain plus 29 feet of our bright CleanSpace vapor barrier on the damp walls.
The husband and wife can now get started on refinishing their dry and usable basement!
A homeowner in Edinburg, PA experienced water leaking all around her basement foundation. Her steps and wood in the basement began to rot, and she became tired of having water in her home.
She found Baker's Waterproofing through an online search, and scheduled her free basement inspection with our team.
Her goal was to repair the whole foundation, keep it dry all the time, lower the humidity, and address the nasty gray water sump pump and pit already installed in her basement.
She has owned this home for 5 years, but had been renting it out. She's been living here for the past year, and decided to plan ahead and get rid of this unwanted water.
Our crew installed our unique below-floor WaterGuard and FlowGuard drainage system, custom sump pump with an airtight lid, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a slotted IceGuard fitting on the sump pumps exterior discharge line.
This custom waterproofing system has been keeping this basement dry, and the homeowner has been using it for dry storage space without any worry.
We serviced the system the following year after install, measured a relative humidity of 51.3% and completed all annual maintenance steps. Everything continues to work great, and we got a handwritten thank you note from the homeowner.
This basement is dry!
