Daniel of Springdale, PA had water accumulating from all areas of his 110 sq. ft. basement during heavy rains. He decided to call Baker’s to receive an estimate on having his entire basement waterproofed.
The inspection was conducted by Service Advisor Michael Richmond. He determined the best waterproofing solution for Daniel’s specific case. He had our patented WaterGuard french drain, a system that is a result of years of R&D from the largest network of water proofers in the world, installed around the entire basement perimeter flush with the floor. Along with the drain, a SuperSump pump was installed with a battery backup pump. Lastly, since Daniel’s walls were prone to condensation, we applied white vapor protective panels called BrightWall. These panels block water, prevent mold, and improve the overall look of the dirty block foundation walls.
After the installation Daniel was happy to know that his basement is now dry!
Nancy of Fairmont, WV had A LOT water entering her finished basement from the back wall. With the intention of selling her home she decided to call Baker’s for a free estimate.
Nancy needed a system that could handle the heavy water seepage along the back wall. Service Advisor Michael Richmond recommended a TripleSafe sump pump which contains 3 pumps in 1, and 86 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the back wall.
Nancy also purchased additional products including 10 ft. of LawnScape downspout extensions to divert water away from the home, 2 IceGuard ports to protect against water freezing over, and CleanSpace wall linerto block wall leakage and dampness.
With these great patented products intact Nancy could finally sell her home!
Frank of Bridgeport, WV had water entering the left side of his basement with heavy condensation on the walls. The issue was only getting worse for Frank so he decided to call Baker’s for a free estimate.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond proposed installing WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the wall, sitting on top of the footer. This is our most recommended draining system; it is ideal due to its resistance to clogging, its easy access to service ports, and its ability to also collect leaking water from basement walls. From WaterGuard water will flow to a sump pump. Michael had a SuperSump sump pump installed. It has the ability of pumping roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of a home. It also comes with a WaterWatch alarm system that goes off it water rises over a certain level. From the pump the discharge line will connect to a downspout.
To address the excessive damp walls, Frank purchased BrightWall paneling. This white wall paneling system mechanically fastens to the wall. The panels will never rot, warp, or discolor. Any water that passes through walls cracks will run behind BrightWall downwards into the WaterGuard drainage track, keeping the basement dry!
Time was running out for Clyde and Trudi of Burgettstown, PA. For the past 10 years they have been dealing with some serious foundation problems. After noticing crack formations on their walls, they had seen that the front wall of their home was bowing inwards 2” in the worst area.
In March of 2014 Michael Richmond traveled to the couple’s home and conducted the free inspection to remedy this bowing problem. He proposed the installation of 13 of our patented Geo Lock Wall Anchors. This is our most recommended way to permanently stabilizing bowing walls. The anchors also give the ability of potentially straightening the wall over time with use of the given tightening kit.
The installation of the anchors only lasted 1 day and Clyde and Trudi were happy to have their home safely stabile once again.
Karen of Belle Vernon, PA had a 2” bow to the side of her home. With wanting this fixed ASAP she called the experts at Baker’s for a free estimate.
In June of 2015 Service Advisor Michael Richmond traveled to her home and proposed installing 3 of our patented Geo Lock Wall Anchors. These anchors utilize the interior and exterior sides of the wall, providing instant stabilization. The anchors also come with a tightening kit which will be able to straighten the wall over time.
After the installation Karen was more than happy to have her wall stabilized.
Mike of Allison Park, PA needed to repair the bowing wall in his basement that was measured to be 1 ½” facing inwards.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond conducted the free inspection, and determined that in order to stabilize the wall 9 GeoLock Wall Anchors would have to be installed. These anchors utilize both the interior and exterior sides of the foundation and will securely keep the foundation from any further movement or bowing. If desired, the homeowner can attempt to straighten the wall by using a torching wrench over time to tighten the anchors.

Lois of Richmond OH needed to fix his trip hazardous concrete slab that was surrounding his much beloved pool area. After seeing advisements on our newest product, PolyLEVEL he called Baker’s for a free estimate.
In July of 2015 Service Advisor Krys Webster came to the home and conducted the free estimate of the pool area. After the inspection he was able to diagnose how to properly restore the slabs right there on the spot with the PolyLEVEL foam.
PolyLEVEL is polyurethane foam that is inserted underneath your slab through a 5/8" hole. The foam expands and then raises the slab. This quick installing and noninvasive solution is 100% waterproof and will last roughly 80 years.
Tim of Toronto, OH needed a solution to repairing the trip hazardous patio around his inground pool. Several of the slabs had sunken with one being 2.5” lower than it needs to be.
In July of 2015 Service Advisor Kyle Horne traveled to the home to conduct the free estimate of the patio. After the inspection he was able to determine how much PolyLEVEL was needed and was able to answer any questions Tim had.
Better than the mud jacking technique which uses a messy cement based product, PolyLEVEL is a lightweight polyurethane foam material that is inserted underneath your slab through a 5/8” hole. This noninvasive solution is quick to install lasting less than 1 day, is 100% waterproof and will last roughly 80 years.
Marilee of Mount Pleasant really wanted to sell her home but was being prevented due to the puddles of water that was intruding the front and left side walls of her much needed basement.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond gave the free estimate of the basement. After the inspection Michael proposed our interior drainage system, WaterGuard to the left and front walls. Unlike like other French drains which are installed under the footer in an area prone to clogging, WaterGuard easily rests on top of the footer in a dug out trench along the wall. He also had a SuperSump sump pump as well as our LawnScape downspout extensions installed to direct water further away from the home as part of Marilee's waterproofing system.
After the installation Marilee was now able to place her home on the market!
A home located in The Mount Lebanon School District had a bowed in wall along the garage. Homeowner Alex called Baker’s for a free estimate.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond determined that the wall had inwardly moved 1”. After the free inspection he proposed 5 Geo Lock anchors to restore the 24' side wall. The anchors create instant stabilization, and over time can even attempt to straighten the wall back to its orginal position.
Jill of Steubenville OH needed a preventive solution to the water intruding from her garage doorway entrance even when it was closed during times of heavy downpour. She called Baker’s for a custom designed solution to keeping the space dry.
Service Advisor Josh, recommended placing a grated TrenchDrain in front of the doorway, and a SmartSump pump to move water to the outside. Both products will keep the garage floor dry for years to come!
A homeowner in Leetonia OH had a bowing or pushed in wall along the front of their home’s foundation. This was noticed after seeing stair step-cracking, a key indicator of foundation bowing!

Cory of Carnegie PA had a failing retaining wall along his driveway that was beginning to separate. Afraid that the wall may collapse completely, he researched many companies and decided to give Baker’s’ a call for a free inspection.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond gave the assessment and determined that the wall had moved over 4 inches and proposed installing 4 GeoLock wall anchors. The wall anchor system will instantly stabilize the wall from any further movement, and provides the possibility of straightening the wall back into proper alignment over time.
Cory was very happy with his results. Another day, another foundation fixed!
A husband and wife living in Steubenville, OH reached out to us to repair their home's foundation. They were dealing with unstable foundation walls in their garage as well as water leakage in their crawl space.
If the bowing walls were left alone, changes in the surrounding soils would keep applying extreme pressure to the foundation walls. This means that the walls would continue to develop cracks and move inwards. If the damp crawl space was left alone, the moisture could rot the structure and negatively impact the air quality throughout the home. Plus, it could never be used as a dry storage area.
Our crew installed our CarbonArmor wall reinforcing system to quickly and effectively stabilize the garage walls. At the same time, the crew installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, WaterGuard below-floor drain, SmartSump crawl space sump pump (with UltraSump battery back-up pump). Also, beneath the CleanSpace vapor barrier, we installed our TerraBlock crawl space insulation and SilverGlo crawl space wall insulation to provide the husband and wife with a dry, energy-efficient crawl space.
These homeowners no longer have to worry about the structural integrity of their foundation or the harmful effects of a nasty, damp crawl space. This 3-day project gave the husband and wife peace of mind with our proven solutions!
In 2012, a homeowner called Baker's Waterproofing. Prior to requesting a free in-home estimate, the homeowner dealt with a basement water problem 3 separate times in the last 6 years. He noticed water coming into his finished basement at the wall and floor joint. This is a very common point of entry for groundwater seeping through the foundation.
We addressed the water problem with our complete waterproofing system. This included our WaterGuard below-floor drain to collect leaks at the wall and floor joint. This drain channels water into our sump pump where all water is then pumped out of the basement through a PVC pipe. The sump pump includes our UltraSump battery backup pump. This battery-powered pump will turn on to prevent basement flooding only if there is an excess volume of water or the power goes out.
About 5 years later, the homeowner requested system maintenance as well as information on our dehumidifier. Our Service Advisor gladly answered all questions about our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The homeowner purchased and added the Sedona to their existing waterproofing system to improve the air quality in the home.
A ranch-style house purchased in Brilliant, OH had serious slab settlement issues. Shortly after moving in, the homeowner called Baker's Waterproofing to learn more about our leveling system.
The homeowner's concrete bathroom floor sunk considerably, causing a troublesome gap between the floor and wall. Our certified expert, Scott Johnston, inspected the home's sinking slab and designed a custom bid. Scott provided the bid that same day and the homeowner decided to move forward with the concrete leveling project.
Scott Clark, our concrete repair expert, installed our PolyLevel solution to lift and level the floor. Our patented product permanently lifted and stabilized the slabs with a high-density polyurethane formula that was injected into the problem soils below.
We efficiently and successfully prevented further movement of the homeowner's concrete bathroom floor.
Homeowners in Steubenville, OH called Baker's Waterproofing for a minor water issue in 2011. While our service advisor was there, he noticed they had a bowing wall in their basement as well. The homeowner's were not ready to move forward with any projects at that time, but said they would call in if they noticed any changes.
A few years later, the bowed wall had gotten much worse. Service Advisor Jon Mitchell inspected the problem and designed a solution to stabilize their bowed wall.
Foreman Charlie Good and his team installed 4 PowerBrace steel beams to stabilize the wall in its current position, with potential to straighten the wall over time.
The homeowner now has a completely stable basement!
Homeowners in Steubenville, OH had a coal cellar that the previous homeowner had turned into a one-car garage. The back corner of the garage was settling causing cracking on the inside walls and ceiling.
Service Advisor Brad Wentzel surveyed the garage and designed a proposal that would stabilize the back corner and divert the downspouts away from the foundation. The homeowner was going to fix the downspouts himself, but he was happy to have a family business fix his garage. He scheduled the installation that day.
Foreman Jeremy Staffen and his team installed 4 push piers to immediately stabilize the garage.
The homeowner's garage is now a permanently sound structure!
