A condominium complex in Robinson, PA was experiencing dampness in the storage room. Residents were tired of their belongings getting wet, so the manager of the complex had Baker's Waterproofing assess the problem.
Service Advisor Justin Lowden inspected the storage room. There was never any leaks or running water, so the room did not need an interior drainage system. Instead, Justin designed a proposal that would take care of the moisture in the air.
Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh placed vent covers on the interior and exterior of the storage facility. This keeps outside air away, along with all the moisture, pests, winter cold, and summer heat it brings with it. A Sani-Dry Sedona dehumidifier was installed inside of the storage place to collect any moisture in the air and would drain via the condensate pump.
The residents will no longer have moisture in the same room as their belongings!
A homeowner in Clymer, PA noticed their crawlspace was wet and musty. They had wood beams in their crawlspace and were afraid that the moisture was damaging the structural integrity of the home, so they called the experts.

Bentleyville residents were having a wide variety of issues in their home. Firstly, they were experiencing water in their basement and bowing to the side wall. This was definitely a concern since the homeowners were planning on refinishing their basement in the near future.
Service Advisor, David informed and recommended a complete portfolio of products to the residents. To address the bowing wall, they used our patented Geo-Lock wall anchors. These wall anchors are designed to give support to the foundation of the home and to slowly straighten the wall over time to its orginal state. They also have minimal disturbance to lawn & landscaping, and come with a 25 year manufacturing warranty.
The water issues were resolved from using our patented Super and Ultra sump pump system and interior driainage system Water Guard. This Super Sump pump can pump 2,650 gallons of water per hour and has a mechanical float switch, while the Ultra is battery operated and is used when the there is a shortage of power to the Super.
As an additional product they also went with our TrenchDrain system. This method of draining prevents water from seeping through doorways, garage doors, and in front of staircases. The design of the Trench Drain allows for water to drain into the grate, flow into the patented Water Guard, and is then pumped out of the home.
After the installation of all of these products, the homeowners were very satisfied that their foundation was repaired and their basment was properly waterproofed!
Homeowner Carol of Clinton was experiencing water leakage seeing up to 12" of rain during heavy rains in her basement. This was definitely causing concern since she was looking to sell her home in roughly 2 years, and did not want to have this be a problem during the selling process.
After giving Carol her free estimate, Service Advisor Tom Faessel recommended and informed Carol of the best products for her current situation. She decided to go with our patented TripleSafe sump pump system to address the very excessive amounts of water coming into her basement. This is our most efficient sump pump system. The TripleSafe contains three separate pumps invested into the system. Zoeller M-53 does most of the pumping; it is efficient and smoothing running. Zoeller M-98 pump operates when pump 1 fails or if it cannot keep up with the heavy workflow. Lastly the UltraSump is the third component and is battery operated. This is used when the power fails to the first 2 pumps and is used when the power fails. For example, this would be used during a storm when the power goes out.
Carol also went with our TrenchDrain surface drainage system.
To go along with the Triple Safe our most recommended interior drainage system, Water Guard was installed along the wall resting on top of the footer. WaterGuard is connected to the TripleSafe which is what pumps the water out of your home.
Carol was very pleased to see that her extreme case of water damages were resolved and that she was now able to sell her home without worry.
Bill of Wexford noticed that one of his basement walls was beginning to bowing or push inwardly. This was definitely a concern since he was looking to sell his home in the near future.
A free estimate repair by Baker’s Waterproofing was able to determine that 10 GeoLock wall anchors would need to be installed to stabilize the failing wall.
Geo-Lock anchors are a great choice to repair bowing, tipping, or buckling walls. Each individual anchor is installed by having a 16"x16" earth plate inserted in undisturbed soil approximately 12 ft. away from the wall. Along the interior basement wall, a 1” hole is drilled to push a galvanized steel rod out to the earth plate outside. Lastly the wall plate, which is visible in this photo, is attached. The connection is tightened which gives the foundation stability.
George of Coraopolis was seeing significant cracking along his foundation, a key sign of settlement or sinking. Fearing for the safety of his home he called Baker’s to look into repairing his foundation.
We repaired the foundation by installing 5 Push Piers. The PushPier system is able to permanently stabilize your foundation, and allows the best opportunity of lifting the foundation back to its original level. To install these piers your footing is first exposed and a bracket is secured to the footing. Next, steel tubes (piers) are hydraulically driven through the bracket to competent soils or bedrock. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load bearing strata. The home is then lifted back to level (if it is possible).
After the installation there is no doubt that George was glad that his foundation was now safely secured.
Herbert N of Canonsburg, PA was experiencing water damage seeping in from the back and side wall of his basement. (On average a house is devalued by 20% if there are any water issues pertaining to the house.)
Service Advisor Tom Eckersley proposed a SuperSump sump pump system, and a sub-floor, interior french drainage system against front and side walls. Additionally, they had their downspout extended 40 ft. with LawnScape drain piping submerge in the soil of the yard to direct water further away from the home. Lastly since the block foundation walls were porous with water coming in through cracks, BrightWall white panels were mechanically fastened to the walls to block wall leakage and to brighten up the space.
The job was completed in 2 days and Greg and Judy were very pleased to see that their home was waterproofed and ready to be placed on the market.

The TripleSafe is top of the line in sump pump systems! The TripleSafe contains 3 systems in one, if your 1st pump fails to operate or cannot handle the amount of water coming in the 2nd pump will begin running. The 3rd pump is battery operated and kicks in when the previous pumps do not work due to a shortage of power.
Since Steve already had a sub-drainage system installed we simply used his and added 13 ft. of downspout extensions going out to the backyard to direct the water away from the home.
The project only lasted 1 day and Steve was happy to know that his basement was finally properly waterproofed.
After seeing wall cracks on exterior bricks and having a bowed wall of ¼’ John and Kimberly of Kittanning, PA decided to contact Baker’s Waterproofing to repair their bowing wall.
After setting up their free estimate, Service Advisor Tom Eckersley came to their home and explained the various ways to stabilize their foundation from our wide portfolio of patented products. To stabilize the foundation 7 Geo-Lock wall anchors were decided to be used.
These anchors are installed by inserting 16"x16" earth plates into the ground approx 12 ft. away from the foundation. In the basement tiny holes are drilled through the basement wall and steel rods are driven through and connected to earth plates outside. The wall plates are then attached to the wall. The homeowners were also given the corresponding tightening kit that helps to slowly straighten the wall back to normal over time.
Dave of Waynesburg, PA had 1” of bowing to his 2 story home since he purchased the home 8 years ago. He had contacted other companies to receive estimates, but they were recommending to completely rebuild the wall, which is expensive and not the best solution to resolve the problem.
After the estimate from Baker’s, Justin Lowden our Sales Manager said the foundation could be repaired by using 6 of our patented Geo-Lock wall anchors. These anchors would provide proper stabilization of the wall, and with the tightening kit, the wall will be able to slowly straighten over time.
The installation only lasted 1 day and Dave was happy to see that his foundation was now stabilized and that he did not have to completely rebuild his foundation after all.
After noticing a bow of 1” along the side wall of his home, Patrick of Gibsonia called Baker’s Waterproofing to set up a free estimate to assess and to fix the wall. Baker’s assessed the situation and proposed the installation of 4 Geo-Lock wall anchors to stabilize the failing wall.
This is by far our most recommended way to giving stability to basement walls that are bowing, tilting, bulging or shifting in any way. They also give the chance of straightening the wall back its original position over time. Our anchoring system comes with 25 year Manufactures Warranty.
Patrick was so happy with his results that he later purchased our CleanSpace wall liner and ThermalDry floor tiles 3 years later.
With a bowed wall of 5”, Sam of Wheeling, WV called Baker’s Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a free estimate on how to safely repair his foundation.
Service Advisor Tom Faeseel came to his home and determined the best solution for his particular case. Since the bowing was so severe and since Mike wanted the wall immediately straightened and stabilized, excavation was done first to have full access to the bowng wall. It was then determined that 5 Geo-Lock wall anchors and 2 Channel Anchors would be needed. Both anchoring systems utitlze the exterior and interior sides of the wall, the Channel anchors are specifically designed to be placed where the bow is the worst.
They were installed by having steel 16"x16" steel earth plates inserted underground. Then on the inside tiny holes were drilled having galvanized steel rods driven through connected to the earth plates outside. The Geo-Lock and Channel wall plates were then attached to the wall.
After examining these photos, it is easy to see that Baker's was able to successfully straighten and to stabilize Sam’s home.
Denise of New Castle, PA had water coming into her basement from all possible areas.
Service Advisor Chris Shrontz came to the home and assessed pricing and products that would be needed to fix her specific problem. He determined that our patented TripleSafe sump pump, and 128 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system would be used. As additional products 12 ft. of LawnScape downspout extensions, and IceGuard downspout freeze protector were also installed.
Water Guard is our sub-floor drainage system and a key component to our waterproofing system; it is installed along the footer of your home against the wall by creating a trench. Since water was entering from all areas, WaterGuard was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement (128 ft.), and was connected to the TripleSafe.
The TripleSafe sump pump is a great choice for basements that leak heavy amounts of water. This sump contains 3 pumps in one and even includes 1 pump that will work even if there is a power failure. After these products were installed cocnrete was applied over the drain and around the TripleSafe to restore the floor.
From the TripleSafe, water will be pumped out to our LawnScape downspout extensions and will flow 12 ft. away from the home. We also installed IceGuard which acts as a way to allow water to flow even in extreme cold temperatures when there is a chance that water will freeze over.

After the inspection, she was provided the best solutions to fix her specific case. To provide a substantial waterproofing solution for her entire basement she went with our patented SuperSump sump pump, and 111 ft. of WaterGuard sub-drainage system that was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement. In addition to these, she also purchased 15 ft. of downspout extensions which will direct water 15 ft. away from the foundation. To explain how the system works, WaterGuard is installed along the wall of your basement and it is where water that is attempting to flow in your basement will go instead. It is then diverted to the Super Sump and is then pumped out of the basement to the downspout extensions. Sweet!
To repair her ¾” bowed wall she used 5 of our Carbon Armor carbon fiber anchorage systems to stabilize the wall. These fiber anchors are strong! They are a low profile system that are 10x stronger than steel and are the same technology is used by the US Department of Defense, Army Corp of Engineers, and aerospace engineers to reinforce skyscrapers, bomb shelters and bridges around the world.

This is our most cost efficient pump, having the ability of pumping roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of a basement. The pump also comes with a WaterWatch Alarm System to alert Michael if water rises over a certain level. The pump has a connected discharge line that was routed to a downspout.
To address the mold growth, Michael had BrightWall paneling mechanically applied to the wall. BrightWall white panels will never rot, warp, or discolor. Any water that passes through wall cracks will run downwards behind the wall to the WaterGuard drain.
After the installation of these great patented products Michael was happy to have his basement running in tip top shape once again.
Michelle of Baden, PA had water entering the back and right side of her basement and garage. With this issue only becoming worse, she called Baker’s Waterproofing for a free estimate.
In May of 2015 Service Advisor George Hellenbeck came to Michelle’s home and was able to create a superior waterproofing system for Michelle’s specific needs. He proposed installing WaterGuard along the footer of the back and right wall where water was entering. WaterGuard will prevent water from entering the basement and will redirect the water to the sump pump. George had a SuperSump sump pump installed in her garage. The pump comes with a WaterWatch Alarm System that will go off if water rises over a certain level. From the pump the discharge line was connected to Michelle’s downspout extensions, directing water outside of her home.
As an additional feature CleanSpace anti-microbial liner was specifically cut and applied to the wall. The liner creates a vapor barrier that will allow any water to run down into WaterGuard and will prevent mold and mildew growth.
