Dave of Waynesburg, PA had 1” of bowing to his 2 story home since he purchased the home 8 years ago. He had contacted other companies to receive estimates, but they were recommending to completely rebuild the wall, which is expensive and not the best solution to resolve the problem.
After the estimate from Baker’s, Justin Lowden our Sales Manager said the foundation could be repaired by using 6 of our patented Geo-Lock wall anchors. These anchors would provide proper stabilization of the wall, and with the tightening kit, the wall will be able to slowly straighten over time.
The installation only lasted 1 day and Dave was happy to see that his foundation was now stabilized and that he did not have to completely rebuild his foundation after all.
Cathy of Waynesburg, PA was having BOTH water and foundation issues! Yikes! With wanting to sell her home and knowing that the value of a home dramatically decreases (roughly 20%) if there are water or foundation issues she decided to call Baker’s Waterproofing. After calling, she was able to set up a convenient time to have one of our sales reps give a free estimate.
After the inspection, she was provided the best solutions to fix her specific case. To provide a substantial waterproofing solution for her entire basement she went with our patented SuperSump sump pump, and 111 ft. of WaterGuard sub-drainage system that was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement. In addition to these, she also purchased 15 ft. of downspout extensions which will direct water 15 ft. away from the foundation. To explain how the system works, WaterGuard is installed along the wall of your basement and it is where water that is attempting to flow in your basement will go instead. It is then diverted to the Super Sump and is then pumped out of the basement to the downspout extensions. Sweet!
To repair her ¾” bowed wall she used 5 of our Carbon Armor carbon fiber anchorage systems to stabilize the wall. These fiber anchors are strong! They are a low profile system that are 10x stronger than steel and are the same technology is used by the US Department of Defense, Army Corp of Engineers, and aerospace engineers to reinforce skyscrapers, bomb shelters and bridges around the world.
The installation only lasted 3 days and Cathy was happy to know that her bowed wall and leaky basement were repaired so that she could sell her home at its best value.
Walter of Carmichaels, PA needed a solution to fixing his basement. Excessive water was seeping onto the floor from where the floor and wall meet, and the front wall of the basement was also tipping from the bottom.
Service Advisor Tom Faessel traveled to the home and conducted the free estimate to restoring both of these issues. To tackle the water problem Tom had our most recommended interior french drain system called WaterGuard installed along the foundation to prevent water intrusion into the space. He also a TripleSafe sump pump to move water from the french drain outside. The TripleSafe contains 3 pumps in 1 for complete protection. The 1st 2 pumps combined can pump 6,200 gallons of water per hour out of this home, while the 3rd is used as the battery operated backup pump.
To restoring the bowed wall, Tom applied our patented CarbonArmor straps to the wall. These carbon straps are 10x stronger than steel and are the same technology used by engineers to restoring bridges, bomb shelters, and skyscrapers. Once installed they will give instant stabilization to the wall!
A Waynesburg health systems office had a sunken concrete sidewalk. Soils beneath the sidewalk weakened, allowing the concrete to sink and become uneven. This posed a hazardous problem for customers and employees entering this health systems office. Our service advisor, Mike Felt, completed a thorough inspection around the outside of this location. He showed videos of our PolyLevel slab solution to the potential customer, then printed out a proposal for the project on the day of the appointment.
Our foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crewman soon thereafter completed this job. The crew strategically drilled small holes, then installed our injection ports into the concrete slab. Our PolyLevel foam was injected through the ports into the voids below the slab. This lightweight foam is a high-density polyurethane solution that can lift and level concrete. The service advisor inspected the area in order to inform the crew that the goal was to lift the slab 1.5 inches, which is exactly what occurred. Now, with a successfully leveled sidewalk, Tom and his crew removed the ports and sealed the holes with new concrete. This Waynesburg office no longer has to worry about tripping hazards or other structural issues due to sinking concrete.
After heavy rains, homeowners in Carmichaels, PA discovered water seeping through at the base of their concrete block walls. They were stressed about the floor in their game room that was now ruined due to the rain. They did not want this problem to get worse over time, so they called to schedule a free inspection.
Our Service Advisor, Jesse Pitcock, inspected the inside and outside of the home, proposed the best solution, and answered all of the homeowner's questions. Jesse designed two different proposals that outlined what he recommended and what we can do based on the homeowner's specific request.
On the installation date, our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed 129 feet of our unique WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain along the perimeter of the basement and garage. Two service ports were installed with the drain for any future maintenance. Our drainage system was tied into the two floor drains in the garage (as requested by the customer).

They were looking to catch the water before it enters their home and pump it far away from the foundation.
One of our Service Advisors inspected the area to design a custom waterproofing solution. At a later date, our crew, led by Foreman Theron Block, installed our TripleSafe sump pump system in the corner of the garage and TrenchDrain grated drainage piping in front of the garage door. CleanSpace wall vapor barrier was attached to the walls to stop any moisture from coming into the basement. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier will capture any moisture left in the air and help keep the carpets dry.
Last, our Mold-X2 treatment was applied to remove any lasting mold and protect it from growing back.
