Our crew members got hard to work to repair this Churchill PA water damaged basement that also had foundation problems. The foundation walls were bowing inwardly and clearly the paint was chipping due to heavy condensation. Baker’s installed a basement waterproofing system that consisted of a sub-floor drain against the perimeter, a sump pump system, and white waterproof panels that protect the walls from water damage and even mold. Additionally the foundation was stabilized from further movement by installing GeoLock wall anchors. For a FREE estimate click HERE.
Along the leaking basement walls of this Washington, PA residency we placed BrightWall paneling strips. These white panels will not only brighten up this space but will also protect the area from wall leakage. The paneling system works alongside the Waterguard sub-floor drain to reroute water into the drain instead.

All of these products will keep the Washington Auto Mall dry!
Kelly of Cadiz, OH had water leakage through the front wall of her basement for nearly 3 years. It had gotten to the point where mold was starting to grow on the walls. Gross!
Knowing about our great reputation, Kelly called Baker’s to get a free estimate for the repair. Chris Shrontz, one of our certified Service Advisors, came to Kelly’s house and recommended the best basement waterproofing solution for her home. This system included a sump pump system called the SuperSump, WaterGuard sub-floor drain, and 36 ft. of downspout extensions within the soil of her yard. In addition to these products, Kelly had our BrightWall white paneling installed along the walls of her basement. This will not only help to brighten the wall, but will also help to prevent water from permeating through the wall.
With these great patented products Kelly was able to have her basement waterproofed and her mold and dampness resolved!
Melissa of Uniontown, PA was having excessive dampness to the floors and walls of her 3 story concrete floor basement. Wanting this leaky issue repaired, she called the experts at Baker’s to arrange a time to have a free estimate.
George Hollenback came to Melissa’s home and gave the inspection to assess and to recommend the best waterproofing solution for her basement.
Her waterproofing system consisted of our patented SuperSump sump pump system, and WaterGuard sub-floor drain. Additionally water was accumulating along the foundation walls, so we placed a vapor liner called CleanSpace. This durable white liner will protect from further water damage and mold.
Justin of Brownsville PA had water seeking into the right corner of his garage. With the intention of selling his home he called Baker’s for a free estimate to repair this issue before beginning the selling process. (One average a home is devalued 20% if there are water damages to the home).
The inspection of the basement determined that the best waterproofing solution included installing our patented Super Sump sump pump, and 19 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the footer of back and right wall. In addtion to, 56 ft. of LawnScape downspout extensions were added to allow water to flow out to the road.
Both components work together in creating the superior waterproofing system that Justin was looking for. Our WaterGuard drainage system is what water will flow into instead of entering the garage, it will then flow to the SuperSump sump pump. Our patented SuperSump is our most cost effective sump; it can pump roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour. From the sump, the discharge line will take the water to the LawnScape downspout extensions which will allow water to flow out to the road, instead of the yard.
The installation of these great products only lasted 1 day and Justin was happy to know that his basement was now dry and ready to be put on the market.
Homeowner David of Belle Vernon PA noticed that his concrete slab driveway and concrete slab sidewalk had sunken 2” in certain areas. Fearing for the dangerous trip hazards that this can cause, he called Baker’s Waterproofing after seeing advertisements on our latest product, PolyLEVEL.
Justin Lowden, our sales manager, gave the free estimate and determined that to raise the sinking side of the slabs 128 ILBs of PolyLEVEL would need to be inserted underneath the driveway and 10 ILBs underneath the sidewalk.
The brilliance of PolyLEVEL is that it is a quick and low profile solution to fixing sunken slabs. To insert PolyLEVEL, 5/8” holes are drilled into the slab where it has sunken and PolyLEVEL is then pumped into the hole. This will be done until the slab is properly raised and level.
PolyLEVEL is a polyurethane foam material that is completely waterproof and will last roughly 80 years. The installation time is very quick, unusually completed in a few hours.
David was happy that his slabs were now safe and free from trip hazards. He was also impressed that he could even operate his car on his driveway 15 minutes after the installation was completed!
Frank and Wilma of Baden, PA were experiencing water entering their basement during heavy rains. The couple finally decided it was time to call Baker’s for a free estimate.
Frank and Wilma wanted a waterproofing solution that would keep their basement dry all the time, and one that would waterproof in areas that water was entering. With these goals in mind Service Advisor, Donald Stiffler recommended a series of products that would meet and exceed their expectations. He recommended that the best solution would be to install both a Super and Ultra sump pump, and 57 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage.
As additional products, they purchased 57 ft. of our BrightWall white paneling system which acts as a vapor barrier and can greatly improve the overall look of your walls.
After the installation of these patented products Frank and Wilma were happy that their finished basement was safely dry again!
Barbara has been happily living in her Zelienople PA home for over 40 years. However she was not happy with the copious amounts of water that was seeping onto the floor and damaging her carpet during heavy rain storms. Fed up, she finally called Baker’s Waterproofing for a free estimate to providing a waterproofing solution that would keep her finished basement dry all the time.
Baker’s proposed WaterGuard sub-floor drainage to be installed along the leaky foundation, and a sump system to move water to the outside. The SuperSump system and Ultra Backup generator were installed to create a system that will work even during power failures.
As an additional feature Barbara removed the carpet and instead installed ThermalDry Flooring over the concrete floor. The floor system provides a barrier to water and will also insulate the floor. She also had BrightWall paneling applied to the walls to create a barrier to water. Lastly Barbara had her downspout extended 20 ft. with LawnScape, giving the ability of directing water away from the foundation.
Michael of Oakmont, PA was having both water leakage and mold growth in his basement. Clearly not happy he called Baker’s Waterproofing for a way into tackling this ongoing issue.
Service Advisor Tom Eckersley was able to create a great solution that addressed all the issues Michael was having. He proposed our patented WaterGuard sub-floor drain installed against the perimeter to block incoming water. Tom had also had a sump pump system called The SuperSump installed in the back corner. This is our most cost efficient pump, having the ability of pumping roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of a basement. The pump also comes with a WaterWatch Alarm System to alert Michael if water rises over a certain level. The pump has a connected discharge line that was routed to a downspout.
To address the mold growth, Michael had BrightWall paneling mechanically applied to the wall. BrightWall white panels will never rot, warp, or discolor. Any water that passes through wall cracks will run downwards behind the wall to the WaterGuard drain.
After the installation of these great patented products Michael was happy to have his basement running in tip top shape once again.
Frank of Bridgeport, WV had water entering the left side of his basement with heavy condensation on the walls. The issue was only getting worse for Frank so he decided to call Baker’s for a free estimate.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond proposed installing WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the wall, sitting on top of the footer. This is our most recommended draining system; it is ideal due to its resistance to clogging, its easy access to service ports, and its ability to also collect leaking water from basement walls. From WaterGuard water will flow to a sump pump. Michael had a SuperSump sump pump installed. It has the ability of pumping roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of a home. It also comes with a WaterWatch alarm system that goes off it water rises over a certain level. From the pump the discharge line will connect to a downspout.
To address the excessive damp walls, Frank purchased BrightWall paneling. This white wall paneling system mechanically fastens to the wall. The panels will never rot, warp, or discolor. Any water that passes through walls cracks will run behind BrightWall downwards into the WaterGuard drainage track, keeping the basement dry!
Dan of Clarksburg, WV has been happily living in his home for over 20 years. However he was not happy about the puddles of water that was disturbing his much needed basement. Wanting this issue fixed ASAP he called Baker’s for a solution.
His free estimate was conducted by Service Advisor Justin Lowden. He was able to create an ideal waterproofing solution for Dan. He proposed installing an interior french drainage system called WaterGuard. This is our most recommended drain; it has the unique ability of resting on top of the home’s footer instead of within. From WaterGuard water will flow to the sump pump. Justin had a SuperSump sump pump installed. This efficient system has the capacity of pumping 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of this space.
As an additional feature Dan purchased BrightWall paneling system. The BrightWall system consists of white semi-rigid plastic panels that fasten mechanically to the wall. They provide an effective barrier from blocking water and mold growth along the foundation.
Jamie of Perryopolis, PA had water entering his much needed basement. Frustrated that this may prevent him from selling his home, he called the experts at Baker’s Waterproofing for a free estimate.
Service Advisor Joshua Emery visited Jamie’s home and conducted the inspection. He was able to determine the best waterproofing solution for Jamie. He proposed installing an interior drainage system, WaterGuard. This is our most recommended drain, having the unique ability of resting on top of your footer instead of within. From WaterGuard water will flow to the sump pump. Joshua had a Super Sump sump pump installed. This efficient system has the capacity of pumping 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of your basement!
As an additional feature Jamie purchased Bright Wall paneling system. BrightWall are white semi-rigid plastic panels that fasten mechanically to your wall. They provide an effective barrier from blocking water and mold growth on your walls.
The installation only lasted 2 days and Jamie was ecstatic that his basement was effectively dry and his home was now able to be placed on the market.
Karen of Belle Vernon, PA had a 2” bow to the side of her home. With wanting this fixed ASAP she called the experts at Baker’s for a free estimate.
In June of 2015 Service Advisor Michael Richmond traveled to her home and proposed installing 3 of our patented Geo Lock Wall Anchors. These anchors utilize the interior and exterior sides of the wall, providing instant stabilization. The anchors also come with a tightening kit which will be able to straighten the wall over time.
After the installation Karen was more than happy to have her wall stabilized.
Bill of Smock, PA needed a fixing to the bowing wall in his basement. In the worst area the bow measured 1 ¼”. Fearing for the safety of his home, Bill called Baker’s for a solution which could stabilize the wall.
In 2009 one of our Service Advisors came to Bill’s home and conducted the free estimate. He had our patented Geo Lock Channel Anchors installed. Channel anchors are specifically designed to handle extreme cases of bowing, once installed they provide instant stabilization.
Allison Park homeowner, Day needed a solution to her basement that was leaking water during heavy rains storms from the rear right corner.
Service Advisor Shawn Evans conducted a free estimate to have her basement repaired. He proposed our most recommended interior drainage system, WaterGuard that was installed along the front and side wall, with our SuperSump sump pump. The Super is our most cost efficient pump, having the ability of pumping roughly 2,650 gallons of water out of a home. Together these 2 products created a dynamic solution to keeping Day’s basement dry!
Mike of Allison Park, PA needed to repair the bowing wall in his basement that was measured to be 1 ½” facing inwards.
Service Advisor Michael Richmond conducted the free inspection, and determined that in order to stabilize the wall 9 GeoLock Wall Anchors would have to be installed. These anchors utilize both the interior and exterior sides of the foundation and will securely keep the foundation from any further movement or bowing. If desired, the homeowner can attempt to straighten the wall by using a torching wrench over time to tighten the anchors.
As you can see from these photos, the slabs around the deck area of this Uniontown inground pool were uneven and needed to be raised 1.5 inches. We raised the sunk slabs with our PolyLEVEL foam.
The polyurathane foam was pumped underneath the slab through small penny sized holes. The expanding foam raised the slab back to level. PolyLEVEL is 100% waterproof, can be installed in as little as 15 minutes depending on the size of the job, and comes with a 5 year warranty.
It is safe to say that having several feet of water in your basement is a key sign that you made need some help! Homeowner John had this very unsafe issue that greatly damaged his much needed storage area. He called Baker’s for a solution.
Service Advisor Justin Lowden gave the free inspection of the basement area. He created a system that would waterproof the entire basement area as well keep the basement dry all the time. Justin was able to provide this by using our WaterGuard interior drainage system around the entire perimeter of the basement with a TripleSafe sump pump. The Triple Safe contains 3 pumps in 1! The first 2 pumps have the ability to pump 6,200 gallons of water per hour out the basement, while the 3rd pump is battery operated and kicks in when power fails to the first 2 pumps. As an additional product 65ft. of our LawnScape downspout extensions were installed to divert water further away from the home.
The front sidewalk leading up to this Allison Park home was greatly uneven. The slab had sunk so much that it was becoming a trip hazard to anyone visiting the home. Homeowner Paul called Baker’s after seeing advertising on our PolyLEVEL foam.
Service Advisor Tom Eckersley conducted the free estimate and explained the numerous benefits of the product. Our construction crew installed the foam by drilling penny sized holes into the slab for the foam to be pumped underneath. The foam expanded, raising the slab back to level. Afterwards the holes were patched with concrete.
PolyLEVEL is a new and innovative product that combines the technique of mudjacking with modern technology from our network supplier, Foundation Supportworks. PolyLEVEL is a lightweight foam that is 100% waterproof, and significantly more affordable than completely replacing sunken slabs. It has been used for years to repair roads for commercial projects by engineers and is now able to be used for residential areas too!
Delores of Belle Vernon had noticed that her home was slowly sinking away. It was clearly obvious along her front porch with measured settlement of 2”. Fearing for the structural safety of her home Delores called Baker’s to provide a solution that could stabilize her foundation.
Service Advisor Justin Lowden proposed our patented Push Pier system to lift the house. The push piers were installed by attaching brackets to the footer so to hydraulically drive galvanized steel piers into the more bearing soil that resides deep into the ground. This transferred the weight of the home onto the piers creating the stabilization that Delores' home needed.
Homeowners Zach and Kristen went with Baker’s as opposed to other competitors to replace their existing sump pump. They were highly recommended by a friend who also used us in the past.
We replaced and installed a TripleSafe sump pump for full protection. The TripleSafe is a sump pump that will keep the basement dry, period! This sump contains 3 Zoeller powered motors and 2 discharge lines to remove large amounts of water quickly. The first 2 pumps together can move roughly 6,200 gallons of water per hour out of a basement. The 3rd pump is a battery operated back up system that works if the power fails, ensuring that the sump pump will keep working. We highly recommend this pump if water infiltration is common and substantial.
By installing the TripleSafe Zach and Kristen now have a dry basement!
Lousia of Pittsburgh had a basement that she desperately wanted to finish into a game room. However the puddles of water on the floor, and the condensation and mold growth on the foundation walls were preventing this dream from coming true. Baker’s Waterproofing was there for a solution.
Along with our patented waterproofing system, we installed finished floor tiles called ThermalDry. These tiles come in a variety of neutral colors and will completely protect from water as well as insulate the cold concrete floor below in Lousia's basement. Lastly, we installed BrightWall vapor protective white panels along the walls. They not only brighten up this room, but they also protect from further water damage, and prevent future mold growth.
After receiving routine water flooding into his basement, a Grindstone PA homeowner called Baker’s to create a solution that would protect his entire unfinished basement from leaks. He wanted a solution that also included applying a barrier system along his porous and dirty foundation.
After a free inspection Baker’s prevented current and future leaks by installing our patented WaterGuard drain in a 3 inch trench along the foundation to collect water. The drain will collect water and move to the also installed sump pump. We installed a cast-iron protected sump that will move water at a rate of 2,500 gallon per hour. Lastly along the foundation a durable white barrier was installed to protect the foundation from water and mold.
All 3 products will protect this space for years to come!
Along the rear foundation wall, in both the garage and laundry room, was a leak that was allowing water to seep into the basement along the floor. This was an ongoing problem for this Point Marion PA homeowner, who had to routinely clean up her basement every time it would rain heavily.
Baker’s was there with our patented basement waterproofing system to keep this space dry! We installed our sub-floor French drain called WaterGuard along the footer in a trench. The drain will collect flooding water along the wall and from the floor, and will route it to the also installed sump pump system. We installed the SuperSump sump pump that will move water out to a downspout line at a rate of 2,500 gallons per hour. Lastly, we extended the downspout line out 15 ft. to prevent water from recirculating back into the basement.
No more leaks!
A Point Marion homeowner called Baker’s for a second opinion in repairing their settling foundation. Repairing your foundation is NOT a light task, and they wanted someone they felt they could trust.
A free inspection by Service Advisor Justin Lowden reassured them that their home was in good hands. We stabilized the left and partial rear foundation with the installation of 10 Push Piers. Push Piers consist of long straight galvanized piers that are driven deep into ground and are attached to the footer. By doing so prevents the home from sinking any further, and makes lifting the home back to its’ original position possible.
This Point Marion homeowner’s biggest invest is now fixed!
Don of Point Marion PA had a bow along his front 23 ft. wall of his block foundation. It was noticed after seeing stair-step cracking beginning to form, a key indicator of foundation shifting. Knowing that this issue had to be addressed, he called Baker’s for a free evaluation.
Service Advisor Don Stiffler gave the estimate and determined that the wall could be stabilized from further movement by installing 4 GeoLock wall anchors. Wall anchors are our most recommended method of repairing bowing, cracking, and buckling walls. The system uses a clamping method that will anchor wall plates along the foundation to earth plates submerged in the soil of yard out 10 ft. Over time wall straightening is even possible with a torqueing wrench that will tighten the system and shift the wall back into proper alignment.
Maryann of Roscoe, PA had a basement with water, mold, and musty smells that needed to be addressed.
Baker’s conducted a free inspection to diagnose and recommend a custom-designed solution. We installed our WaterGuard draining system around entire perimeter of the basement for full protection to leaks. In the rear corner a SuperSump pump was place to collect water from the drain and to route water to the outside. Along the foundation, we placed a white vapor barrier liner called CleanSpace. CleanSpace will protect from dampness and water damage, and will even fight future mold growth along the wall.
All 3 products work together to keep this space dry!
Much to a Merrittstown PA homeowner’s displeasure, water was entering her unfinished basement along the rear-facing foundation wall every time it would rain heavily. She decided to give Baker’s a call after seeing our ad on tv for a free estimate on a basement waterproofing solution!
Baker’s installed our WaterGuard sub-floor French drain and a TripleSafe sump pump to prevent water seepage into the area. WaterGuard is installed in a created trench, along the foundation to collect and transfer water to the TripleSafe sump. The TripleSafe is clog resistant and long lasting due to its cast-iron design, and will move water from the French drain to a downspout at a rate of 2,500 per hour.
Our solution is less invasive, and significantly less expensive than exterior waterproofing systems, and will surely keep this Merrittstown PA basement dry for years to come!
Mr. and Mrs. Zmean own their home in Perryopolis, PA. The floor joists in their crawl space were no longer supporting the weight from above, causing sagging, bouncy floors over their crawl space foundation. This resulted in settlement cracks on their wall and a large gap between their baseboard and floor. Their main concern was the large, dangerous gap, and with a baby on the way, they wanted peace of mind that our services would provide them with a permanent solution.
Our SmartJack Crawl Space Stabilizer is a foundation repair product that provided the Zmean family with a permanent solution. Our SmartJack system permanently lifts and stabilizes existing beams and floor joists in crawl spaces. Our foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh II, and his crew installed 20 SmartJacks to support the floor joist system in the Zmean’s crawl space. Our crew also installed a supplemental beam to fully support their crawl space joists. Each SmartJack installation required digging a small hole and preparing the footing base. Our base is proven to increase support for high pressures from below the footing, and distributes lower pressures to existing soils. After the footing base was installed, each SmartJack was connected to the beam and tightened. This system will not settle, and the steel piers are galvanized to help prevent from rust and corrosion. Mr. and Mrs. Zmean now have peace of mind with stable floors, and a safe home to raise their child.
There were signs of water damage in this newly finished Uniontown basement. After every time it rained, water leaked through the concrete block walls, requiring constant clean-up. The owners tried everything, yet they were not able to protect against water leakage. They needed our waterproofing solutions to permanently keep this basement moisture-free.
Our foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed a variety of our waterproofing products to address this wet basement. They installed our DryTrak baseboard drainage system, WaterGuard drainage system, and TrenchDrain grated system. DryTrak is installed when there is a 2-piece monolithic foundation. The footing and floor were poured as one piece, so it would have been extremely difficult to jackhammer through these thick edges. Our crew installed DryTrak with our epoxy resin on the baseboard, resting above the floor. Similar drains were installed in this basement to fully address the wet basement, including our unique below-floor WaterGuard drain in some areas and grated TrenchDrain in front of the basement door. The crew mechanically fastened our plastic BrightWall paneling to the basement walls to act as a waterproof barrier that channels water leaks into our drainage systems. Water that enters any of our 3 drains will be directed to our TripleSafe sump pump system. In this basement, the TripleSafe system includes our UltraSump battery backup pump for extra protection against water flooding into the system if a power outage were to occur.
A Point Marion homeowner identified mold in her damp basement. For the past few years, water was seeping through the concrete walls. Water can enter a basement through cracks, joints, and porous concrete. Subsequently, water damage could ruin belongings stored in the basement and cause mold growth. The homeowner called us to inspect the home and offer a proper solution.
Our Foreman, Jeff Kula, and his crew installed our Mold-X2 Treatment, BrightWall Paneling System, and WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain with FlowGuard Thin-Floor Drain.
The customer requested that all walls be sprayed top to bottom with our mold treatment. Mold-X2 both cleans contaminated surfaces and prevents future mold growth. We paired this treatment with our permanent basement waterproofing solutions. Jeff and his crew attached over 100 feet of our BrightWall Paneling System onto the base of the walls. This durable vapor barrier will drain any water that might seep through the concrete blocks down into our drainage system. Our unique drains were installed along the perimeter of the basement floor (about 104 feet of drain). In this home, there is limited space between the floor slab and foundation footing. For this reason, our crew installed the FlowGuard Thin-Floor Drain with our WaterGuard Drain buried below.
Jeff and his crew finished this waterproofing project in 3 days. Now, this homeowner has a clean and healthy basement!
A homeowner in New Salem, PA had been dealing with the stress of a wet and moldy basement. Our Service Advisor, Chris Shrontz, met with the father (homeowner) and his daughter to address the issue. They explained they were not happy with the look of their water-damaged walls and were planning to use the basement for dry storage. Chris completed a full inspection inside and outside of the home, recommended solutions, and answered all of their questions.
Our Foreman, Jeff Kula, and his crew successfully addressed all the father's and daughter's concerns. Jeff installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain with FlowGuard Thin-Floor Drain. There was a small space between the foundation footing and floor slab, so this is why our crew installed our FlowGuard Drain. This drain fits easily under the floor slab, and directs water to our WaterGuard Drain below via a wall flange.
Jeff and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System with an UltraSump Battery Back-Up Pump. Our drainage systems are designed to direct water into the sump pump system. Our powerful and reliable pumps then discharge water away from the foundation. Our UltraSump Pump will help to discharge large amounts of water if a power outage were to occur.
Our CleanSpace Wall System addressed the homeowner's concerns for their moldy and unappealing, water-damaged walls. CleanSpace is our white, plastic vapor barrier that helps keep moisture out of basements (as well as nasty crawlspaces). Also, this system has built-in anti-microbial protection to help repel mold and mildew.
Jeff Kula and his crew completed this project within 1 day. Now, this father and daughter have peace of mind with a moisture-free basement!
In 1962, a Uniontown, PA homeowner bought his house in good condition. Over time, problems developed with his home's foundation. For years, he had been dealing with the stress of a wet basement and an unstable foundation wall. Finally, he chose to fix the problem before even bigger issues arised.
Our production crew repaired the leaky basement with our patented interior perimeter drain, WaterGuard, and complementary products to provide a complete waterproofing solution.
At the same time, we installed our CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System to permanently stabilize the foundation wall. Based on the condition of the wall and pressure exerted on the wall, 5 CarbonArmor straps were required for this project. First, our Foreman, Jon Mitchell, and his crew cleaned the wall to ensure good adhesion. Second, they secured the ArmorLock brackets to the perimeter framing. Third, they saturated each strap location on the basement wall with a high-strength epoxy resin. Fourth, the crew cut the straps to match the length of the wall, then saturated each with epoxy. Lastly, the straps were attached to the wall and connected to an ArmorLock bracket. The entire system was then saturated with a top coat of epoxy.
The CarbonArmor reinforcement becomes part of the wall structure, plus, it can be hidden with a coat of paint!
A Dunbar, PA homeowner had been experiencing basement water problems for a while. He attempted to solve the problem with a competitor's sump pump that is now failing.
Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Mark McCullough, inspected the home. He proposed our proven waterproofing system to help keep this basement dry at all times.
At a later date, our Foreman, Rich Rotolo, and his crew arrived at the home to make the repairs. They installed our WaterGuard below-floor drain, CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, TripleSafe sump pump system, IceGuard discharge protection, and LawnScape discharge outlet. This project also included WaterGuard inspection ports and our reliable UltraSump battery back-up pump.
Our below-floor perimeter drainage system has a wall flange feature that catches wall leaks from behind the vapor barrier. All leaks channel into our sump pump system, leave the home through discharge lines, and daylight at the end of the piping through a grated outlet. No more basement water intrusion!
A homeowner in Farmington, PA had been aware of the problems in her home since she moved in. The crawl space always had standing water, but recently she discovered mold growth on the structure. This especially concerned her, since a family member in the house has allergies.
Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Justin Lowden, inspected the crawl space as well as the outside of the home. Justin designed a custom crawl space solution based off of the homeowner's needs and concerns for her family.
At a later date, our crew, led by Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh, installed various patented products to improve the health of the home. Our crew sprayed Mold-X2 stain remover, installed our TripleSafe sump pump system, encapsulated the area with our CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier, installed SilverGlo wall insulation, sealed off the vents with our CleanSpace vent covers, and installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Ken and his crew installed The Turtl crawl space access well to providing an airtight cover. The Turtl serves as a crawl space access well and door combined.
By repairing the crawl space, we created a healthier living space and helped the homeowner save money on utility bills.
A homeowner identified a water problem near the exterior of the home. Two faulty downspout extensions leaked water near the foundation walls. If left alone, this could have led to serious water problems on the inside of the home, but luckily there is a simple, cost-effective fix!
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Tom Faessel, inspected the home and proposed our LawnScape underground downspout extension be installed for a permanent solution. After the homeowner hired Baker's Waterproofing for the project, our crew arrived with the necessary products and tools. First, Rich Rotolo and his crewman removed the old extensions and removed the sod. Then, they connected PVC pipe to each existing downspout and ran the piping underground, away from the foundation. Next, the crew connected the pipes, then tied it into our LawnScape well. The only visible part is the green LawnScape outlet that rests flush with the lawn. For the last step, Rich and his crew replaced the dirt and sod in the yard.
Now, water drainage from the roof is directed far away from the home and onto the surface through the LawnScape underground downspout extension.
A husband and wife residing in Farmington had hoped to finish their basement. However, over time, water infiltrated the soil around the foundation, and the porous block wall absorbed most of this moisture.
The weeping basement walls leaked water onto the floor, becoming more than just an unsightly issue. During heavy rains, pools of water would form in the low-lying areas of the basement. Finally, the homeowner chose to schedule the much needed repairs.
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist inspected the inside and outside of the home, took the couple's main concerns into consideration, and designed a custom proposal with our solution-specific software tool. The couple did their research, and received 4 bids from other waterproofing contractors, but they chose our team to complete the work.
Our professionally trained Foreman and 2 crewmen arrived at the home with all the necessary tools and products to ensure we transform this wet basement into a dry living space. We installed our unique drainage system, sump pump, and exterior discharge systems.
As you can see in the pictures below, we replaced a competitor's old, failing sump pump with our trusted airtight TripleSafe sump pump system. All of our patented products are sure to keep this basement dry. Now, the couple can continue with their next home improvement project--basement finishing!
A homeowner discovered water marks on his basement walls, so he called Baker's Waterproofing for a free inspection. Our Service Advisor inspected the inside and outside of the home to determine the best course of action. Once on site, our Service Advisor discovered a major water problem, as you can see in the picture below.
The entire basement, including this small space below the porch, had water leakage issues. We identified that there used to be a waterproofing system in place, which had clearly failed. When the system was installed in the past, the weep holes in the wall were drilled extremely high, which made this a challenge for our crew. Overall, the homeowner was satisfied with our custom solution, so he hired us to do the work.
Our Foreman and his crew installed 145 feet of our WaterGuard drain and 2 TripleSafe sump pumps! The second TripleSafe system gives this home the best protection against basement flooding. Additionally, 3 IceGuard systems, an anti-freeze sump pump discharge line fitting, add extra protection by providing an emergency exit for water.
Now, any water that tries to enter the basement will be pumped far away from the home. No more unsightly water marks!
A husband and wife in Newell have been dealing with basement flooding for years. Every time there was a heavy rain they would find up to 6 inches of water all over their basement floor. They became concerned that this would damage their water heater and furnace. They plan to live in their home for a long time, so they scheduled an estimate to learn how Baker's could transform the wet basement into a dry and comfortable living space.
Justin Lowden, our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, inspected the inside and outside of the home to design a waterproofing system. Justin designed a full perimeter drainage system, partial wall system, and full crawl space vapor barrier system. This would help control existing leaks and prevent future leaks from damaging the utilities and other belongings.
Our Foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drain around the perimeter of the basement, with a few feet of our grated TrenchDrain in front of the outside entryway. Ken and his crew attached our bright white CleanSpace vapor barrier to two of the basement walls and tucked the bottom of it behind the drain's wall flange. (The crew also attached an extremely durable vapor barrier to the nearby crawl space walls and floor to control the earth's moisture.) Ken and his crew installed the TripleSafe sump pump to help direct water out of the basement. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is a great addition to this system. The SaniDry Sedona takes excess moisture out of the air to create a healthier space.
The crew controlled the leaks and installed an additional system to ensure that water will stay away from the foundation. When water enters the sump pump, it will travel away from the home through the LawnScape underground discharge extension that includes a grated outlet at the end.
This project was successfully completed in 4 days.
A married couple in Everson had lived in their home for over 30 years. The husband previously installed an exterior french drain and it did in fact work for awhile. However, that drain eventually failed and the couple, once again, was finding puddles of water in their basement. That is when they called Baker's for a permanent solution.
Our Service Advisor inspected the foundation, identified their main concerns, and designed a customized system. The couple was happy with our team and our award-winning solution, so they hired Baker's for their waterproofing project.
At a later date, our Foreman Theron Block and his crewman installed our drain and sump pump system in just one day. The crew arrived at the home and started to dig a small perimeter trench and sump pit. They removed all of the old concrete and debris from the basement area. Then, they cut the WaterGuard and FlowGuard drains to fit around the different rooms in the basement. Next, they placed the drains in the trench and placed the TripleSafe sump pump in the pit, and filled both spaces with clean gravel.
Theron connected these systems and tested it to ensure water would flow towards the pump and out of the basement. The sump pump discharge line travels through the wall and ties into the existing downspout on the home's exterior. This means no more puddles of water in the basement!
In the event of a power outage or mechanical failure, the crew installed one UltraSump battery backup system for extra protection against basement flooding.
A husband and wife in Jeanette experienced basement water leaks in one corner of their home. They wanted this repaired right away, so they called Baker's Waterproofing to schedule a free on-site inspection.
One of our Certified Waterproofing Specialists, Shawn Evans, arrived at the home to complete a thorough inspection, learn about the couple's main concerns, and design a custom system. Shawn learned that they only wanted to fix the leaking corner in their basement. Our proposal included a partial waterproofing system to repair this specific area.
Our Foreman, David Cain, and his crew completed this project at a later date. They installed our WaterGuard below-floor drain and TripleSafe sump pump system to collect any basement leaks and pump the water out of the home. David and his crew placed our bright, white CleanSpace vapor barrier on the leaking walls and tucked the bottom of it behind the drain's small wall flange.
Now, our waterproofing system will keep this corner of the basement dry even during the heaviest rains.
A homeowner recently identified a bowed wall located underneath his deck. This space in the basement is used as a workshop. The homeowner worried that this wall would get worse overtime, so he called Baker's Waterproofing for a free inspection.
Our Certified Foundation Repair Specialist completed a thorough inspection of the foundation to design a custom wall solution. This concrete block wall moved inwards about 3/4'' and developed a horizontal crack. The homeowner wanted to permanently stabilize the foundation to avoid further damage. Our proven solution addressed his needs and concerns.
The Foreman and his crew installed 7 CarbonArmor straps on the wall. In only 1 day, our crew used epoxy and carbon fiber straps to strengthen and stabilize the foundation wall and prevent further inward movement.
Homeowners in Grafton had just bought a house on auction that was vacant for over a year. The husband is on oxygen and needs a lung transplant, so when they discovered musty air and moldy walls in the basement, they called Baker's Waterproofing right away for their free inspection.
Our certified expert completed a thorough inspection of the house. The basement was moldy and it was difficult to breathe downstairs. There were signs of water seepage throughout.
We designed a proposal that would immediately address their breathing and health concerns. This included our Mold-X2 spray and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Then, at a later date we were to install our sump pump, drainage, and vapor barrier system.
Our crew gutted the entire basement including the ceiling, partition walls, and carpet to install Mold-X2. Our quick remedy made this basement a healthier part of the home.
During heavy downpours, a home in Belle Vernon leaked water through the porous block basement walls.
Our certified basement waterproofing specialist, Scott Johnston, met with the husband and wife during a free basement waterproofing inspection. At the time their daughter was living at this property. They told Scott that their daughter is tired of cleaning up the flooding water after all of these heavy downpours.
The couple told Scott that they were looking to rent out this property, because their daughter was buying a new house. Knowing that this wet basement issue must be fixed beforehand, they were prepared to get the work completed soon.
Scott customized this system to address the small area that was currently leaking. We typically recommend a full perimeter system, but we aimed to meet their budget. The homeowners may always extend the system in the future.
They hired us and scheduled the project. Our crew installed 41 feet of our below-floor WaterGuard drain to collect foundation leaks and our TripleSafe sump pump (with 1 pump) to direct water out of the basement. On the outside of the home, our crew led the sump pump's discharge line underground about 18 feet away from the foundation.
Water that used to leak into the basement will now surface at the end of the discharge line through our small, camouflaged LawnScape outlet.
This home is ready to rent to their next tenant!
A Lemont Furnace homeowner is living in a home built in the 1990s. He self-installed a sump pump in his basement.
He was scared that a power outage would lead to a flooded basement, so he called us for help.
Our certified basement waterproofing and foundation repair specialist inspected the inside and outside of the property. The homeowner has a finished basement, and he wants to protect it from flood damage.
We recommended to replace the existing pump with our powerful Zoeller pump and our battery-powered UltraSump with a WaterWatch alarm to keep the basement dry even during a power outage! Our crew successfully installed this custom system in one short day.
During the inspection, we noticed a sinking and cracking concrete driveway. The homeowner moved forward with this concrete repair project 2 years later.
We re-visited the site to ensure our recommendations are up to date. Then, we scheduled the work. Our concrete repair foreman lifted and leveled the sinking driveway slabs with our state-of-the-art PolyLevel foam and repaired the cracks and joints with our NexusPro sealant.
In 2017, 2018, and 2019, the homeowner requested annual maintenance appointments to ensure his basement system remains in prime condition!
After 56 years, a home's foundation in Dawson, PA began to experience water problems.
Water was entering through the crawlspace and also bringing water through the basement.
This husband and wife started to research basement waterproofing companies and set up a few estimates.
After heavy rains, an inch of water and mud on the floors was the result in their loving home. The goal was to finally stop cleaning up this nuisance of a mess. And after a few heavy rainstorms, they knew it was time to fix this persistent problem. Especially, with hopes to sell the home in the next 5 years.
In the crawlspace, our crew installed our CleanSpace drainage matting on the dirt floor, CleanSpace encapsulation system (moisture barrier) on the floor and walls, 3-inch piping for drainage, and our TripleSafe sump pump system with the UltraSump battery backup pump.
On the exterior of the home, we led the sump pump discharge line underground to a LawnScape outlet about 15 feet away from the home's foundation. Directly outside of the foundation wall, we installed our slotted IceGuard fittings to act as emergency overflow in the event of a clogged or frozen underground pipe.
This home value has instantly increased with a more pleasant and comfortable feel in the basement!
In Fayette City, PA, a homeowner was hoping to sell her home in the next few months, but she was concerned about the front porch. The porch was sinking and pulling away from the front of the house. She was referred to Baker's Waterproofing by a masonry contractor to stabilize her porch so she could get ready to sell her home.
Our waterproofing and foundation specialist Shawn Jackson completed a thorough inspection of the inside and outside of the home. Shawn recommended 2 Push Piers to permanently stabilize the porch.
Our foreman Brian Komen and his crew installed our piers. The crew was able to hand-dig around the foundation, no excavation needed. Lift is not guaranteed, however, in this case, the porch was lifted 2 inches. This job was completed in one day.
The homeowner can now sell her house without having to worry about a structural defect.
A White, PA homeowner noticed that the foundation around his garage was sinking with cracks in the drywall. The homeowner lived there for over 15 years and had no intention of leaving. His main goal was to find a permanent solution to the problem so that it would not get any worse.
Baker's Waterproofing visited the home for a free no-obligation estimate. Our service advisor Justin Lowden inspected the inside and outside of the garage. Then, he designed a customized foundation settlement solution for the garage.
Our crew installed 6 Push Piers at the foundation of the garage to immediately and permanently stabilize it. While lift is never guaranteed, the crew was able to life this foundation 3 inches! This project was completed in two days.
Now, the homeowner is happy with a sound foundation for good.
