After having a good experience with Baker’s at their Washington location, Guardian Storage called us when they had a leak along the rear wall of their Irwin, PA facility. We prevented the water infiltration by installing a basement drain to collect water from coming through the foundation called WaterGuard, a SuperSump sump pump that moves water outside at a rate 2,500 gallons of water per hour, and a vapor barrier liner called CleanSpace that protects the wall from further water damage and leakage.

Many homeowners have contacted us with concerns about water flowing into their homes through hatchway entrances, down stairways, or through garage doors. Any water passing over the drain is collected through the openings and redirected to the sump pump.
Used to dispose of unwanted water, a trench drain is installed flush with the floor.
Our crew, led by foreman Rich Rotolo, installed a nine-foot TrenchDrain in front of the driveway to capture water that tries to flood the garage and basement.
A general contractor called Baker's Waterproofing for a concrete repair solution. A Washington townhouse driveway had slabs that cracked in the center and sank at least 4 inches. The contractor wanted to repair the slabs rather than pouring new concrete.
Chris, one of our Service Advisors, met with the contractor that is working with the new homeowner. The contractor is doing a total refurbish of the townhouse and the homeowner had not moved in yet. Chris designed a solution to lift the slabs and seal the cracks. He put the contract in the new homeowner's name, so they could own the warranty.
Baker's Waterproofing sent Scott's crew to install PolyLevel to lift the 5 concrete slabs four inches and another crew to seal the two 19-foot cracks with NexusPro. Now, the townhouse driveway is level, stable, and protected against moisture and further damage at the newly sealed joints.
A Washington, PA homeowner was dealing with a leaky basement for the last 10 years that he's been living there. During heavy rains, water built up on the floor--specifically in one small room. The homeowner is good friends with our most tenured Service Advisor, Chris Shrontz, so he called Baker's Waterproofing to find a permanent fix.
A homeowner had only lived in a Washington home for 7 months, but was already dealing with recurring basement water problems. The homeowner grew tired of cleaning up puddles of water in the basement.
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Chris Shrontz, was scheduled to inspect the inside and outside of the home. Chris identified moisture problems in the basement and dirt crawl space. He recommended our solutions, and we were hired for the project.
Our Foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh, and his crew completed the installation of our waterproofing system. In the crawl space, Ken and his crew installed our CleanSpace drainage matting, moisture barrier, and drainage piping. In the basement, we connected the crawl space system to the basement waterproofing system. The crew installed our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain, CleanSpace moisture barrier, and TripleSafe sump pump. The drainage system directs moisture into the sump pump, so the system can pump water out of the home. On the home's exterior, Ken and his crew installed our IceGuard fitting on the discharge line to protect against basement flooding. The crew directed the discharge line underground about 13 feet away from the home to daylight at our LawnScape outlet out in the yard.
Now, any moisture in the crawl space and basement will be controlled and ejected far away from the home.
In 2008, our team repaired the bowing, leaning walls at this property. Ten years later, new homeowners moved in and soon thereafter discovered that a water problem had surfaced. The basement had been damp for a couple years, but larger amounts of moisture had finally begun seeping into the basement to where it finally needed to be addressed.
The homeowners main concerns were that this issue would turn into a more serious issue in the future. They didn’t want the water issue to cause structural problems or damage a finished basement. By addressing the water, they, in turn, prevent these concerning problems from occurring.
The homeowner trusted the quality of our past work, our unique, patented drain, and presentation of our solution, so they hired us for their project. On the day of, Rich and his crew arrived to install our below-floor WaterGuard drain (no clogging potential), TripleSafe sump pump system, and LawnScape underground discharge extension.
Any water that tries to enter the basement will be caught and channeled through our system, and taken far away from the home through 18 feet of underground piping.
A rental property owner in Washington, PA is preparing to sell. However, one area in the basement had a lot of unwanted moisture. Buyers would take one look and walk away if there was not a waterproofing solution they could count on to keep the area dry.
Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Paul Zamareski, thoroughly inspected the property. Paul designed a partial perimeter waterproofing system to fix the problem.
The installation project included our WaterGuard below-floor drain and TripleSafe sump pump system. Because the owner did not have large amounts of water flooding into the basement, our crew installed 1 of 3 sump pumps in the air-tight sump pump system.
If the problem becomes worse over time, the new owner will have the opportunity to add our second, more powerful pump and/or our UltraSump battery back-up pump for extra protection.
A homeowner in Washington, PA had been dealing with the stress of a damp basement for nearly 2 years. On the day of his free inspection, our Service Advisor, Doug Ross, asked about his future plans for the house. The homeowner explained that he plans to sell in about 10 years, so he wants to fix the issue now before even bigger problems arise.
On the installation date, our Foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh, and his crew installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain and TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Our interior perimeter drainage system was installed just below the floor slab along 54 feet of the leaky basement walls. Our crew dug a small perimeter trench to place our unique drain and fill with drainage stone. Ken and his crew dug a small sump pit to place our durable sump pump liner and install 1 powerful Zoeller pump. TripleSafe also includes a stand to prevent the pump from clogging, an airtight sump lid, and a WaterWatch alarm system to sound an alert to prevent flooding in the event of a sump pump malfunction.
Our patented waterproofing system provides this homeowner with peace of mind that his basement will stay dry. Now, when it comes time to sell, he can rest assured that the basement is protected with our transferable lifetime warranty!
A homeowner in Washington, PA plans to move out of her house. However, a house with unstable foundation walls and a wet basement would be difficult to sell. For this reason, the homeowner worked with a realtor to find the best solution.
Our Service Advisor, Chris Shrontz, investigated the problem, explained the proposed solution, and printed out the contract for the homeowner and realtor to review. After giving it some thought, they hired us to complete the job.
Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our wall anchor system. Our Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System immediately and permanently stabilized the foundation walls. How does it work? Our anchors extend out from the interior walls to stable soil far away from the home, therefore bracing the foundation.
Dave and his crew installed our drainage system, sump pump system, waterproof wall system, discharge line protection system, and downspout extension. Our waterproofing system will keep water out of the basement and away from the home. Our unique WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain with FlowGuard Thin-Floor Drain and BrightWall Paneling System direct all leaks into our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. All water will be discharged far away from the home, even if the discharge lines freeze in the winter. Our anti-clogging and anti-freeze fitting, IceGuard Discharge Line Protection, helps to ensure the home stays dry at all times. Normally, water will pass right by this fitting through downspout extensions and daylight through our LawnScape Outlet.
Our proven wall repair and waterproofing solution will make it easier to sell this house at market value!
A Washington, PA homeowner discovered water and structural problems in her basement. The customer's main concern was for potential health problems caused by mold, mildew and low air quality filtering throughout the home. Our Service Advisor, Jesse Pitcock, investigated all of the symptoms as well as the homeowner's concerns to successfully develop an effective and customized solution.
Our Foreman, Ken Kahlbaugh, and his crew installed various products in the home. The support beams and floor joists in the basement are now permanently stabilized thanks to our SmartJack System. The CleanSpace Wall System, our patented vapor barrier, was attached to the walls. With its mold-resistant additive UltraFresh, CleanSpace will never support mildew or mold growth on its surface. Ken and his crew also installed our CleanSpace Draining Matting, which is placed directly on the dirt floor to help properly direct all water towards the sump pump system. Our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain with our modified FlowGuard Thin-Floor Drain and TripleSafe Sump Pump System were installed in conjunction with the CleanSpace systems. These products work together to drain all water into the sump pump system, and our LawnScape Outlet helps keep the water away by daylighting it far from the foundation. In the event the underground pipes would clog or freeze, our IceGuard Discharge Line Protection will act as a new exit strategy for all water that is being pumped out of the home.
Washington, PA homeowners had plans to sell their home, but first, they wanted to find a permanent solution for their unstable, bowing foundation wall. Years ago, they spoke with a specialist in our appointment center about their concern for a large horizontal crack along the wall. (Due to financial restrictions, we performed work in this home a few years earlier as well.)
Our installers finished this ongoing project to permanently stabilize the foundation wall. Our PowerBrace Wall Repair System uses strong steel I-beams to keep the wall from moving inwards any further. In general, we recommend our PowerBrace System when it is not possible to access the earth outside of the foundation. Our Foreman, Jason Wade, and his crew installed the beams on the wall by bolting each one to the floor joist near the top of the wall and to the floor with brackets. This system has a unique approach to stabilizing and straightening bowed and buckled foundation walls over time. Now, the homeowners have peace of mind that they will be able to sell their structurally sound home!
A Washington, PA homeowner discovered water seeping through his finished basement walls. He no longer wanted to deal with a damp basement, so he called us to set up a free estimate. Our Foreman, Mike Pry, and his crew installed our unique below-floor drain, sump pump system, wall vapor barrier, and downspout extension. Our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain is designed to catch wall leaks and direct all water into our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. TripleSafe is our powerful and reliable system that will pump water out of this basement to keep it dry all the time. Our crew extended 20 feet of downspout piping from the sump pump discharge line out to our LawnScape Outlet in the yard. Water will surface far away from the foundation, so the homeowner will not have to worry about it re-entering the home.
Mike and his crew also installed our BrightWall Paneling System that covers 27 feet of the basement at a height of 8 feet. This durable wall system is 100% waterproof and directs any water seepage into our drainage system (WaterGuard). BrightWall definitely transformed this basement into a bright, beautiful space!
Homeowners in Washington, PA were experiencing water leakage in their basement. Every rain brought puddles of water into their laundry room area. The homeowners needed to address their wet basement to prevent further damage and mold growth. This was the perfect opportunity to provide our proven solutions in our local community.
Our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed our top-of-the-line waterproofing systems. Our WaterGuard perimeter drain would not fit on top of the footing (the normal placement) because the floor slab was too thin. For this reason, our crew installed our thin, modified FlowGuard drain to rest in front of the footing, with WaterGuard installed below it. These systems were placed in a small dug out trench along the perimeter of the laundry area. The drains were connected to our TripleSafe sump pump system. Three powerful and reliable pumps, including our UltraSump battery backup pump, discharge large amounts of water through the downspout lines. Water will filter out through our grated LawnScape outlet 20 feet away from the foundation. Tom and his crew also installed our CleanSpace wall system in the affected area. This durable, waterproof liner will direct leaks into the drain below and keep moisture and humidity out of the basement. Our combination of permanent waterproofing solutions will keep this basement dry, guaranteed!
Baker’s provided a waterproofing solution that protected the inside as well as the outside of this Washington PA property. The basement had water coming through the front wall of the foundation, and from the ceiling above from the concrete porch.
In the basement we installed a SuperSump pump system, WaterGuard drainage along the front wall, and a vapor barrier liner called CleanSpace. To the porch, we applied an ElastoMeric coating that seals away water from seeping down into the basement area below.
George, a resident of the great city of Washington, needed a solution to restoring the slabs in front of his garage and porch which had sunk. This problem was probing potential trip hazards to anyone attempting to visit George’s home.
Baker’s used our concrete leveling product called PolyLEVEL to level the slabs. PolyLEVEL is a noninvasive and less costly solution to replacing concrete using a lightweight and high density polyurethane foam. We recommend using this product if you have sinking concrete to driveways, sidewalks, patios, and even pool decks.
