This garage located in Indiana, Pennsylvania was showing signs of cracking - causing some serious structural damage to the garage and the home. Our sales adviser, Don suggested installation of Geo-Lock wall anchors and channel anchors to help stabilize the wall and hopefully restore it back close to its original alignment.
This Indiana, PA 2 car garage had water leakage due to cracks in the concrete floor. This was definitely becoming a nuisance for homeowner Jin who used his garage on a daily basis. Baker’s Waterproofing waterproofed the floor using an ElastoMeric coating that when applied gives the floor a waterproofing seal. This coating is specifically designed for vehicle traffic so the coating will not break or become damaged.
Several inches of water had been flooding into this Indiana, PA basement. The couple living in this home plan to stay for years to come, so it was important that they address this issue. An Indiana, PA homeowner discovered a bowed and cracked basement wall. Our Service Advisor, Tom Faessel, inspected the home, explained his recommended solutions, and answered all of the homeowner's questions. In general, these damaging effects to basement walls can develop immediately following construction of a home or years later as changes occur within the soil around the foundation. Regardless, it was important that our team addressed this issue right away.
Tom bid 6 of our Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to permanently stabilize the foundation wall. Our Foreman, Dave Allen, and his crew dug 6 holes in stable soil about 12 feet away from the foundation. They installed 6 of our heavy-duty earth anchors, drove steel rods through the foundation walls to each location, then connected each anchor and rod to inside wall plates.
The crew tightened the system and gave the homeowner a tightening kit. Overtime, the anchors can be tightened to potentially return the wall back to its original position. Lastly, Dave and his crew carefully replaced the portions of sod they removed. Our crew left minimal disturbance to the home and lawn, and gave them peace of mind with a stable foundation!
The back patio, sidewalk, and inside garage of this Indiana PA home needed to be repaired. In certain areas the concrete slabs had sunk. After seeing advertisements of our newest and innovative concrete leveling product, PolyLEVEL homeowner Mary Lou called Baker’s.
Service Advisor Tom Eckerlsey conducted the free estimate to the indicated areas. In order to restore the slabs he had 105 lbs. of PolyLEVEL foam installed. Foreman Rick Schwartz inserted the polyurethane foam by drilling penny sized holes into the slabs for the foam to be pumped underneath. The foam expanded and was able to restore the slabs back to their original position. The area was then properly cleaned and the holes were patched with cement.
We love Poly! The expanding polymer foam is 100% waterpoof, comes with a 5 year warranty, and can even be driven on 15 minutes after properly installed.
