The before and after photos show the installation of our patented Super Sump sump pump system. This is our most cost efficient pump, being able to pump roughly 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of your basement. The pump is installed by excavating a small pit at the lowest level of the foundation, and then inserting the sump pump liner into the hole. From the drainage system, water will flow into the pump. From the pump, the discharge line will connect to your downspout, having water be directed out of your home.

Job Stories From Carnegie, PA
Waterproofing in Carnegie, PA

The original homeowner of a Carnegie, PA home built in 1958 had been dealing with a leaky basement for nearly two decades. The homeowner plans to place the house on the market, so she hired us to provide our permanent waterproofing solution that comes with our lifetime warranty.

Our Service Advisor, Bob Massaro, inspected the house, recommended the best solution, and printed out our proposal for the homeowner at the time of the appointment. She had already received estimates from two of our competitors, and was still planning to have a fourth estimate later that week. The homeowner wanted the work done as soon as possible, so our Customer Service Representative, Sara Harvey, worked diligently to schedule the job as soon as possible.

Sure enough, we won the job! Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump, WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, and BrightWall Paneling System. They installed our Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump in our TripleSafe liner, which was placed in a sump pit in the back corner of the basement. Our unique WaterGuard perimeter drain will collect water leaks and channel it into this sump pump system. Also, our BrightWall system was attached to the wall at a height of 1 foot above the drain. This waterproof paneling will direct water behind it and drain wall leaks into the drainage system below.

This job was completed within just one day!

Bowing Retaining Wall in Carnegie PA

Cory of Carnegie PA had a failing retaining wall along his driveway that was beginning to separate. Afraid that the wall may collapse completely, he researched many companies and decided to give Baker’s’ a call for a free inspection.

Service Advisor Michael Richmond gave the assessment and determined that the wall had moved over 4 inches and proposed installing 4 GeoLock wall anchors. The wall anchor system will instantly stabilize the wall from any further movement, and provides the possibility of straightening the wall back into proper alignment over time.

Cory was very happy with his results. Another day, another foundation fixed!

A Carnegie PA Waterproofed Basement

Rich of Carnegie, PA had water entering his basement from the front of his garage and basement walls. With this problem only becoming worse, Rich decided it was finally time to call Baker’s Waterproofing for a free estimate.

Service Advisor and now Production Manager Donald Stiller gave the inspection and created the best waterproofing solution for Rich's specific case. It was determined that a SuperSump sump pump, 39 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor french drain would be his solution. To improve the system, Rich also purchased BrightWall paneling, a system that is used as a vapor barrier against water entering the basement from the wall.

The project only lasted 3 days and Rich was happy that his basement was now perfectly dry!

Back basement wall slight crack and slight bowing.

I have several concrete walkway slabs outside of my home that are titled toward the foundation, resulting in pooling water at the foundation. I want to have these lifted so they direct water away from the foundation. I also have a crack on the concrete slab of my front porch that is directly above a basement room. I can tell that water is getting between this crack as there is some concrete erosion on the underside of the slab and visible rusted rebar. I want to see about having this crack sealed and stabilized to prevent further damage.

I have a set of concrete steps that tilts about 10 degrees. I also have a 10 x 40 slab that in parts, tilts toward the house. There are cracks in it but if it was level I would be able to repair the cracks

Water has come into finished basement 2-3 times over past 5yr from multiple block walls (split level freestanding house). No existing french drain or sump system in the concrete floor. Have pumped/dehumidified in past during the heaviest rain storms. Doesn't seem to enter the home unless very heavy rains occur.

Water coming into basement
Vicinity of Sarah Street in Carnegie
We purchased an older home last March. When there is substantial rain/snow melt, we have a lot of water coming into the basement. There is a sump pump in one corner but when that was installed, it did not go around the whole house and where it drains in the back yard is too close to the house so the water just comes in through the back wall. We are not sure what needs to be done but have been told that a French drain can be installed around the whole house and connected to the sump pump. At this time we are contacting different companies for quotes. Thank you

We purchased a 110 year old home a couple of months ago. There were issues in the past with some water that were correct a number of years ago, but the one side of the house has settled quite a bit leaving an uneven floor. We see that the problem is an unsupported wall.
