Homeowner Carol of Clinton was experiencing water leakage seeing up to 12" of rain during heavy rains in her basement. This was definitely causing concern since she was looking to sell her home in roughly 2 years, and did not want to have this be a problem during the selling process.
After giving Carol her free estimate, Service Advisor Tom Faessel recommended and informed Carol of the best products for her current situation. She decided to go with our patented TripleSafe sump pump system to address the very excessive amounts of water coming into her basement. This is our most efficient sump pump system. The TripleSafe contains three separate pumps invested into the system. Zoeller M-53 does most of the pumping; it is efficient and smoothing running. Zoeller M-98 pump operates when pump 1 fails or if it cannot keep up with the heavy workflow. Lastly the UltraSump is the third component and is battery operated. This is used when the power fails to the first 2 pumps and is used when the power fails. For example, this would be used during a storm when the power goes out.
Carol also went with our TrenchDrain surface drainage system.
To go along with the Triple Safe our most recommended interior drainage system, Water Guard was installed along the wall resting on top of the footer. WaterGuard is connected to the TripleSafe which is what pumps the water out of your home.
Carol was very pleased to see that her extreme case of water damages were resolved and that she was now able to sell her home without worry.
Ed of Cranberry Township was very unhappy with the way his walls in his basement looked. They were discolored, damp and just downright dirty. He contacted Baker’s Waterproofing to see if this could be changed.
After setting up his free appointment, he looked into ways of waterproofing (this would be in addition to his already installed WaterGuard System) and ways of improving the overall appearance of his basement.
After conversing with one of our Service Advisors, he decided to go with our patented BrightWall panel system. BrightWall panels are semi-rigid, waterproof, plastic panels that can never be pushed off by moisture coming through the wall. Since BrightWall panels are 100% waterproof they will never rot, warp, discolor, and are even washable!
After BrightWall was installed it was clear that Ed was very satisfied with the results. He was happy that his basement’s overall appearance was improved and that his walls were now waterproofed.
Sandy of Butler, PA was having BOTH foundation and water issues in her home. Her 60 ft. back wall was bowing, and in the left corner of her basement water was starting to leak inside during heavy storms. Yikes! Baker’s came to her home and provided the best solution for her specific problem.
To address the bowing wall, 9 Carbon Armor reinforcement straps were installed. These straps are strong! Carbon Armor is a fiber-reinforced polymer that is 10 times stronger than steel and is specifically designed for basement walls. Once installed the wall is stabilized and will not move any further.
A waterproofing solution, which consisted of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage and a SuperSump sump pump, was installed as a way to collect and reroute water outside of the basement. Additionally since the walls were porous CleanSpace vapor barrier system was hung to protect the area from wall leakage and condensation from seeping onto the floor.
Barbara has been happily living in her Zelienople PA home for over 40 years. However she was not happy with the copious amounts of water that was seeping onto the floor and damaging her carpet during heavy rain storms. Fed up, she finally called Baker’s Waterproofing for a free estimate to providing a waterproofing solution that would keep her finished basement dry all the time.
Baker’s proposed WaterGuard sub-floor drainage to be installed along the leaky foundation, and a sump system to move water to the outside. The SuperSump system and Ultra Backup generator were installed to create a system that will work even during power failures.
As an additional feature Barbara removed the carpet and instead installed ThermalDry Flooring over the concrete floor. The floor system provides a barrier to water and will also insulate the floor. She also had BrightWall paneling applied to the walls to create a barrier to water. Lastly Barbara had her downspout extended 20 ft. with LawnScape, giving the ability of directing water away from the foundation.

Better than the mud jacking technique, PoLyLEVEL is a lightweight polyurethane foam material that is inserted underneath your slab through a 5/8” hole. The installation is quick- lasting less than a day, it is 100% waterproof, and will last roughly 80 years.
George really needed to repair his driveway. Some of the slabs that make up his driveway had sunken, causing potential trip hazards. After seeing advertisements on our concrete leveling product called PolyLEVEL George called Baker’s Waterproofing for a free estimate.
We restored the driveway by inserting the polyurthane foam underneath the slabs through small penny sized holes. This noninvasive solution is quick to install, with some installations lasting less than one hour. Additionally the foam is 100% waterproof so it will not wash away in the rain.
This Zelienoplen driveway needed a solution to repairing its unleveled concrete slabs. Homeowner Joe called Baker’s to restoring the slabs with our newest innovative product, PolyLEVEL.
Service Advisor Kyle Horne conducted the free estimate of the sinking slabs. To raise the slabs he determined how much of the product to use while also answering any questions Joe may have had.
So what is PolyLEVEL?
Better than the messy mud jacking techique, PolyLEVEL is a lightweight polyurethane foam that is pumped underneath your slab through a small 5/8” hole. Underneath the foam will expand, raising the slab back to its original position. This noninvasive solution is quick to install, with projects lasting only a few hours. It is also 100% waterproof, comes with a 5 year warranty, and can even be driven on 15 minutes after installed.
Homeowner Barb called Baker’s for a way to restoring her failing foundation wall. The front wall of her home was bowing inwardly at ¾ of an inch.
In May of 2015 Service Advisor Tom Faeseel gave a free inspection, determining that the best solution would be installing our patented Geo Lock wall anchors. This system permanently stabilizes your wall by anchoring your walls to the hard packed exterior soil in your yard. They also come with a tightening kit that is used over time to straighten the wall.
Our Geo Lock anchors can be installed year round, and come with a 25 year manufacturing warranty.
Dave of Boyers, PA had water coming in from every possible direction! The water was leaving puddles along the floor and had to be cleaned routinely. Something had to be done!
Baker’s installed a full perimeter french drain to keep the space dry from water seepage along the floor. The drain was installed flush and was connected to a sump pump for water dispersion. Our basement waterproofing system comes with a lifetime transferable warranty.
Another day, another dry basement by Baker’s!
A driveway to a Mars, Pa home had several uneven concrete slabs. Homeowner Kathy, called Baker’s for an alternative to leveling the slabs instead of completely the concrete.
Baker’s was able to lift and level the driveway with our PolyLEVEL polyurethane foam. The foam is injected through small penny sized holes, where it then expands to raise the concrete.
Stuart of Valancia PA needed to waterproof his multi-room basement, so that he could sell his home. If not, the house would have been devalued by 20%. The leak was occurring along the rear wall to the laundry room and finished basement area.
Baker’s conducted a free inspection and proposed installing our WaterGuard sub-floor drain against the foundation to protect from leaks. In the corner the SuperSump pump system was placed to move water from the drain to the outside.
Both warranted and patented products will keep this basement dry for years to come. Stuart is finally ready to sell his home!
In Cabot, PA, homeowner Kim had a large horizontal crack running through the mortar of her 12’’ block foundation. She knew the crack could be caused by the foundation starting to bow; she called Baker’s for an estimate on a repair solution after hearing about us from a previous customer.
Service Advisor Tom Eckersley inspected the area and determined that the wall had shifted ½” out of alignment. To make the walls stable once again, he proposed installing 12 PowerBraces, 6 along the 28-ft. side wall and 6 along 32 ft. of the rear wall. PowerBraces are rust resistant steel I-beams that are attached vertical to keep the wall from moving any further. Over time wall straightening is possible with the use of a torching wrench.
The installation of this project lasted 2 days, and Kim was happy to have a safe and secure foundation once again.
Mr. Sargent has lived in his home in Slippery Rock for about 21 years. The homeowner was worried about the damaging effects of standing water on his crawl space floor. His damp, nasty crawl space emanated a foul odor throughout Mr. Sargent's home. He recently identified this problem, as well as some evidence of a mold problem. The homeowner wanted to fix the groundwater leaks and control moisture from the earth which in turn addresses the damaging effects of a wet crawl space.
Crawl space encapsulation will help create a healthier living space, save money on utility bills, and will allow Mr. Sargent to use his crawl space for storage space if need be! Our foremen, Jon Mitchell and Ken Kahlbaugh II, installed our crawl space encapsulation products. They came out to Mr. Sargent's home on two separate dates to complete this much needed installation. One hundred and ten feet of our CleanSpace Wall System was installed to stop moisture from passing through the floors and walls. CleanSpace is our durable, poly-reinforced crawl space liner that will keep the area dry. This vapor barrier will protect the structure and insulation from mold and rot. Our CleanSpace Drainage Matting functions hand-in-hand with our liner to direct water out of the crawl space. Our dimpled plastic sheet material will provide any water entering into the crawl space a channel underneath the liner.
Water is directed from our liner and matting into our sump pump system. Our crew installed our TripleSafe sump pump liner with our Zoeller primary pump, which can pump up to 2,200 gallons of water per hour. Our crew installed our IceGuard Discharge Line on the outside of Mr. Sargent's home. This anti-freeze fitting ejects water away from the foundation only in the event that the sump pump discharge line freezes or clogs. This extra protection to keep the crawl space dry will give the homeowner peace of mind. The installed downspout runs underground exactly 30 feet away from the foundation. The downspout extension will direct water away from Mr. Sargent's home and onto the surface far away, so he does not have to worry about water entering back into his crawl space. The combination of our high-quality waterproofing products will keep Mr. Sargent's crawl space dry and create a healthier living space.
Homeowners in Slippery Rock, PA bought their house 16 years ago (2001). They discovered a bowed wall that continued to get worse over time, as changes in the surrounding soils were occurring. Their home should be a place they enjoy, not constantly worry about foundation failure. Mr. and Mrs. homeowner called our company for a permanent wall repair solution.
Our foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed 11 of our Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to permanently stabilize this foundation. In many cases, our solution will straighten walls back to its original position! Our crew strategically dug 11 small holes in stable soils, and embedded galvanized earth anchors. By installing the anchors 12 feet away from the foundation, there is improved stabilization, stopping further movement of the wall. These earth anchors were connected to the wall plates on the inside of the foundation wall by galvanized steel rods driven through the soil. Our crew connected and tightened each of the 11 the steel anchors around the foundation. Tom and his crew successfully completed this foundation repair project within two short days.
A homeowner residing in Slippery Rock PA recently discovered unstable walls. He had just bought the house only to find vertical and horizontal cracking along his foundation walls. Originally, this was hidden in the finished basement, but he demolished the walls to help get rid of a musty odor. The homeowner needed to find a permanent foundation repair solution from a company he could trust.
Bowed and cracked walls will worsen over time due to changes within the soils that surround the foundation. For this reason, our production crew installed our Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to fix the root of the problem.
Our Foreman, Jason Wade, and his crew installed 3 wall anchors to stabilize the front bowed wall. Heavy-duty anchors were embedded in stable soils away from the foundation wall. Our crew drove a galvanized steel rod through each of the 3 mapped out locations to the earth anchors. Then, the wall plates were attached to the rod and all of the components were tightened to the wall. This Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System permanently stabilized this wall, so it would not bow any further. Also, the homeowner received a tightening kit, so he has the ability to straighten the wall over time!
In Renfrew, PA, a homeowner completed a few home improvement projects at her neighboring rental property. She asked our team for a free quote when she identified a wet basement unfit for her future tenants.
After we inspected the property and proposed a waterproofing solution, the owner chose to hire our company to complete the project.
On the installation date, our crew addressed the damp concrete block walls with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent moisture from entering the basement. This plastic, white liner gives the space a bright, new look.
Our WaterGuard below-floor drain and TrenchDrain system catches all water that attempts to seep through the foundation. All water is then channeled through the drainage system into either of the 2 sump pump systems installed. We connected the sump pump discharge lines into the property's existing downspouts to ensure that water would not re-enter the foundation.
A homeowner in Zelienople, PA had a nasty crawl space. Her main concern was controlling moisture that enters through the ground. Humid air in the summers and freezing cold air in the winters rose up through the crawl space and spread throughout the rest of her home.
Our Service Advisor visited the home to complete a thorough inspection. He sat down with the homeowner to recommend our CleanSpace Drainage Matting to place just beneath our crawl space vapor barrier. The vapor barrier itself improves the air quality and feel of the entire home. This is a fitting solution to transform the nasty crawl space to a healthy part of the home.
Our crew fixed the problem by encapsulating the crawl space with our CleanSpace system. Our crawl space vapor barrier is a 100% waterproof plastic liner that installs easily on uneven walls and floors. By keeping the crawl space dry, the homeowner is also protecting the structure and insulation from mold and rot.

Our complete waterproofing system will successfully keep this basement free of dampness and puddling.
A homeowner had unstable foundation walls. There was some minor horizontal cracking along the block walls, and it had bowed up to 2 inches! This is an extremely concerning structural issue that will not go away on its own.
The homeowner plans to place the house on the market, but first he needed to make some repairs around the house. It was inevitable that he would need to address the unstable walls to improve home value. That is when he called Baker's Waterproofing. We sent our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist to inspect the house and design a proposal. Soon thereafter, the homeowner hired us for the foundation repair project.
Our crew installed the PowerBrace system to permanently stabilize the foundation walls. PowerBrace's unique, patented design allows the system to be tightened over time, potentially reversing wall failure without any invasive drilling or digging on the property.
A homeowner owns a partially finished basement with a block foundation. Water had been coming in through the basement walls and leaking onto the floor for years. It continued to get worse over time, which is why the homeowner finally decided to call Baker's Waterproofing.
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist inspected the property. He learned more about the leaking foundation and what about the issue is most concerning for the homeowner. He learned that the carpet gets completely soaked during rains, and the walls and baseboard had been damaged by the water leakage.
The homeowner hired us for the waterproofing project. Our Foreman and his crew placed the WaterGuard below-floor drain and grated TrenchDrain along majority of the basement perimeter at the wall-floor joint. The drainage system rests just below the concrete floor slab. These drains collect water that leaks through the foundation or from the basement entryway, then directs it into the sump pump. The sump pump includes 1 powerful pump that discharges water out of the basement and away from the foundation. The water then daylights at the LawnScape outlet after traveling through over 10 feet of underground piping.
Now, the basement will stay dry and the entire home is a healthier, usable space.
A home in Butler has been experiencing leaks and mold issues in the basement. Twenty years earlier, a different company installed a waterproofing system, but it was not entirely effective. Recently, the system failed to last and began to allow moisture back into the home. The homeowner was most concerned about mold and allergens decreasing the quality of life.
The homeowner found a coupon in the Clipper Magazine and called Baker's Waterproofing to schedule a free estimate. Our Service Advisor, Bob Massaro, inspected the inside and outside of the house. Bob designed a proven solution that would stop groundwater from ruining the homeowner's boxes and personal belongings that she stores in the basement. She took a few days to think things over, then hired us for the project.
Our crew installed 2 TripleSafe sump pumps, WaterGuard internal drainage, and LawnScape discharge/downspout extensions. Our patented products control groundwater that tries to leak into the basement. Then the system pumps water far away from the home's foundation. Now, the homeowner can rest assured that her proven Baker's Waterproofing system will keep her basement dry!
A wet crawl space in Saxonburg was causing more than just headaches for this homeowner. She needed a waterproofing contractor that she could trust to repair the unhealthy crawl space. In just a few years, moisture in the crawl space could lead to mold and dust mite issues. A crawl space is just below the first floor and would filter all this musty air up through the rest of the house. The homeowner wanted to prevent these issues from developing, so she called Baker's Waterproofing for a free in-home estimate.
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Mark McCullough, visited the home to complete a thorough inspection of the inside and outside of the house. Mark sat down to discuss the issues and potential solutions with the homeowner. He designed a custom crawl space waterproofing system that would fix the leaks, control the earth's moisture, and prevent mold growth, odors, and rotting of the structure.
The homeowner hired Baker's Waterproofing, so we scheduled a project date. Our crew, led by Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh, repaired the nasty crawl space with our proven, patented crawl space waterproofing products. Ken and his crew installed our CleanSpace drainage matting to direct the water flooding the crawl space to the perimeter crawl space drain and SmartSump crawl space sump pump system. The CleanSpace vapor barrier we installed is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve a home and prevent the need for future repairs. The water controlled in our system will be pumped far away from the home and surface at the end of an underground discharge pipe.
For the best in energy efficiency, the homeowner chose to combine SilverGlo wall insulation and TerraBlock floor insulation for her crawl space. These crawl space insulation products keep the cold out of the crawl space and the heat in.
Ken and his crew have now fixed the leaks and controlled the moisture. Next, they installed crawl space vent covers to keep outside air away, along with all the moisture, pests, winter cold, and summer heat it brings with it. To help improve air quality for any excess moisture, the crew installed our popular energy-efficient SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
In just 2 days, we have greatly improved the homeowner's quality of life and stopped one water problem from developing into even more serious issues.
A homeowner in Sarver had been experiencing basement water intrusion. Years prior to calling Baker's Waterproofing, the homeowner hired a different contractor to install an interior French drain that recently started to fail. Our Service Advisor provided a free in-home inspection and designed a unique proposal that fit the homeowner's specific needs for a long-lasting solution. After the inspection, our office scheduled the project date.
In the basement, our installers left a small part of the existing French drain that was still working well. Instead of replacing the entire system, the crew added onto the drainage system and tied into the existing sump pump. The crew installed a number of products to prevent future basement flooding including WaterGuard below-floor drain, FlowGuard thin-floor drain, CleanSpace vapor barrier, TrenchDrain grated pipe, and 1 WaterGuard maintenance port.
The homeowner's goal was to return his basement back into a moisture-free living space and refinish the walls and flooring. Now, with our system he can begin his basement finishing project!
A homeowner was planning to move out of her large home in Cranberry Township. She has lived in the home for nearly 30 years, but now she is ready for a smaller living space. One day the homeowner and her brother started to move things out of the basement. Her brother helped move a few storage items away when he noticed that the wall was bowing.
The homeowner wants to protect the value of the home, so she called Baker's Waterproofing & Foundation Repair.
The constant cycle of wet and dry seasons indicate that movement of foundation walls may never be over. The only way to know foundation movement is done is to fix the problem permanently. We immediately and permanently prevented the wall from moving inwards any further with CarbonArmor. Our CarbonArmor system uses fiber-reinforced polymers which are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against the basement wall.
Baker's Waterproofing & Foundation Repair has greatly improved the value of this home!
Nine years of dealing with a damp and leaking basement was long enough. A husband and wife living in Portersville had thrown away their soaking wet carpet for the last time.
It wasn't until they discovered signs of mold before they finally decided to find a fix with Baker's Waterproofing.
The couple received their free inspection and estimate with one of our certified experts. He completed a through inspection of the inside and outside of the home. Then, he took the couple's concerns and budget into consideration while designing their basement waterproofing system.
The homeowners hired us for the work and scheduled their project date.
One of our foremen, Charlie, and his crew completed the work. They dug a small perimeter trench around the full basement perimeter to place 184 feet of WaterGuard and FlowGuard drainage just below the concrete floor slab. This didn't include 3 feet of our grated TrenchDrain that rests flush with the floor.
They connected the systems and back-filled the trench and sump hole with clean gravel.
Then, they mechanically attached our plastic and durable CleanSpace vapor barrier onto the water-damaged foundation walls. The vapor barrier stops water from passing through while the installation of our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier helps to address any excess moisture in the air.
On the home's exterior, they installed an IceGuard fitting on each of the sump's discharge lines. IceGuard has small openings that give water an emergency exit in the event of a frozen or clogged pipe. TripleSafe's discharge lines were tied into two of the home's existing downspouts.
Once the system was flood-tested, the crew hand-mixed and hand-poured new concrete overtop the treated areas.
Now, this Portersville basement is guaranteed to stay dry!
