As you can see from this photo our employees work hard to install and to repair your basement or crawl space needs! The crawl space located in this Richeyville pa home needed to be waterproofed and properly encapsulated.
Baker’s was there for a solution. We placed our patented CleanSpace crawl space liner around the entire crawl space area to lock in and seal outside air and other forces from seeping up into the home. We also provided a waterproofing system which included drainage matting and piping with a sump pump that all are specifically designed to work alongside the 20 ml thick CleanSpace liner.
The slab resting up against this Follansbee WV front porch had sunk 2”. We raised the slab with our PolyLEVEL foam.
PolyLEVEL is a product from our international Foundation SupportWorks supplier who has been using this product for years in both residential and even commercial projects to fix highways. Better than the messy cement-based mud jacking technique that can easily wash away, PolyLEVEL is a lightweight polyurethane foam that is 100% waterproof. The installation of PolyLEVEL is also significantly less invasive, using penny sized holes to insert the foam underneath concrete. PolyLEVEL is a great solution to repairing slabs to driveways, patios, sidewalks, and even pool decks.
In Colliers WV a homeowner had a finished basement used as a designated family room that was in taking substantial amounts of water along the side wall and floor.
We repaired the leak by exposing the footer to install a sub-floor french drain called WaterGuard along the 27 ft. rear wall. To complete the system a TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the corner to pump water to an outside downspout that was also extented with drain pipiing within the yard 15 ft. We recommended a TripleSafe pump due to the vast amounts of water that would infiltrate the space. The TripleSafe has the capacity to move 6,200 gallons of water per hour, and also comes with a battery attached back up system that works during power failures.
All products installed by Baker’s will keep this finished basement free from future water damages.
Under the porch of a Wellsburg WV home was a bowing foundation wall that needed to be stabilized. Baker’’s repaired the wall by installing 4 Powerbaces, a low key solution that utilizes vertical steel beams to prevent the wall from moving any further.

Baker’s was able to repair a wet basement in Wellsburg WV and even prep for basement finishing by installing the ThermalDry insulated wall liner that will protect the wall paneling from water damage. Water behind the liner will push water down into the WaterGuard sub-floor drain to prevent water along the floor We lastly installed a cast-iron sump pump to move water from the drain to the outside.
All 3 products will keep this basement dry!
Sam of Bethany WV needed a solution quick for her bowing foundation along the rear and right side walls of her basement. Very concerned that this could cause serious structural damage to her home, she gave Baker’s a call for a foundation repair solution.
Service Advisor Chris Shrontz conducted the free estimate, and was able to determine the best solution for Sam’s unique situation. He proposed installing 9 GeoLock wall anchors to stabilize the wall from moving any further. This is by far our most recommended solution, and will potentially straighten the wall over time with a torqueing wrench that will be used by the homeowner.
Our wall anchoring system comes with a 25 year manufactures warranty, and will without a doubt, keep this foundation stabile for years to come!
Ms. Champ's home in Colliers was experiencing foundation failure. The basement wall in her home had bowed inwards and caused a large crack along the foundation. Ms. Champ was concerned that her wall could potentially fall in if we did not stabilize it with our proven foundation repair solutions. Originally, our service advisor inspected the home and bid our CarbonArmor wall reinforcing system. However, upon removal of her drywall, we discovered the wall had bowed even further than we thought (about 4 inches). This is something our service advisor could not have anticipated when he completed his thorough inspection.
Our installation crew installed our Geo-Lock Channel Anchor System to address Ms. Champ's newly discovered extreme wall failure. Our foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crewman began by removing a portion of sod (to be later replaced) and digging a small hole in strategic locations. Then, they drove our galvanized steel rods from the wall to the earth anchor locations. Heavy-duty 16'' by 16'' galvanized earth anchors were embedded in stable soils 12 feet away from the foundation. The earth anchors were then connected to our 7' steel channel anchors with the steel rods. Our channel anchors were mounted on the wall, connected to the rods, mounted to the basement floor, and tightened. The hole was back-filled with the original soil our crew dug out and the sod was replaced with minimal disturbance to Ms. Champ's lawn. What we love about our anchors, is that they can be tightened over time to straighten walls. This Colliers homeowner now has peace of mind with our proven stabilization solutions.
Homeowners in Wellsburg, WV were in the process of residing their house. While never an easy process, their relatives suggested that they also address the water problem in their basement. After a stressful 40 years of cleaning up leaks in their home, they finally decided to find a solution.
On the day of the appointment, our Service Advisor, Mike Felt, inspected the house, then discussed the problem and best-fitted solution with the homeowners. At first, they had mixed feelings about the project, but then decided it was in their best interest to fix the problem once and for all.
At a later date, our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed our drainage system, waterproof wall system, sump pump system, and discharge line protection system. Our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain (this project also included our FlowGuard Thin-Floor Drain) works in conjunction with our BrightWall Paneling System. The perimeter below-floor drainage system and semi-rigid white plastic paneling directs all leaks into our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The powerful, reliable pumps will discharge water out of the basement. Our IceGuard System will eject water away from the home only in the event that the discharge lines clog or freeze.
Our waterproofing system will keep this basement dry, so the homeowners will no longer have to deal with a stressful water problem. When they finish residing their home, they will have peace of mind that they have restored even more home value with our proven solution.
