After seeing wall cracks on exterior bricks and having a bowed wall of ¼’ John and Kimberly of Kittanning, PA decided to contact Baker’s Waterproofing to repair their bowing wall.
After setting up their free estimate, Service Advisor Tom Eckersley came to their home and explained the various ways to stabilize their foundation from our wide portfolio of patented products. To stabilize the foundation 7 Geo-Lock wall anchors were decided to be used.
These anchors are installed by inserting 16"x16" earth plates into the ground approx 12 ft. away from the foundation. In the basement tiny holes are drilled through the basement wall and steel rods are driven through and connected to earth plates outside. The wall plates are then attached to the wall. The homeowners were also given the corresponding tightening kit that helps to slowly straighten the wall back to normal over time.
For a Leechburg, PA homeowner water was routinely flooding along the right foundation wall during times of heavy raining periods. It was also disturbing the homeowner’s storage items, something had to be done!
Along the rear wall our experts installed our patented french drainage system against the footer. This prevents water from puddling along the floor, and instead will flow into the drain and be moved to a sump pump system where it is then pumped outside. Our system was easily installed within the floor and even allowed us to install the drain around the washer and dryer and even underneath the staircase effectively.
Another home repaired by Baker’s!
Cheryl of Leechburg, PA had foundation bowing to 3 of the 4 foundation walls in her basement. In the biggest area, the bow had measured to be 2 inches and the problem was only getting worse not better.
After a free assessment, we recommended installing 15 GeoLock wall anchors to restore stability to the home. Anchors are our most recommended solution to restore foundation that are bowing, tipping, or cracking in any way. Our solution also allows the possibility of wall straightening over time with the use of a corresponding tightening kit.
Baker’s was able to fix Cheryl’s biggest investment!
Paula and Joshua of Reedsville WV had to first fix the leak along the rear foundation wall of their basement, before even thinking about finishing the area into a game room. The water intrusion happened during heavy raining periods, and was only getting worse.
Service Advisor Mike Richmond fixed the leak by proposing 39 ft. of our patented WaterGuard french drain within the floor against the wet foundation, with a connected SuperSump pump system. Water ffrom the outside with flow into the perverted drain and will be moved to the pump it is then pumped out of the home at a rate of 2,500 gallons of water per hour.
This system installed by Baker’s will allow Paula and Joshua to turn their basement into the game room of their dreams without fear of any water damage!
Melvin and Stacie of Ford City PA had a rather large, stair-step crack along the side of their basement foundation wall. After a free inspection by Service Advisor Chris Shrontz, he determined that the wall was bowing out of alignment by 1 ½”. It needed to be repaired for fear of further structural damage.
Because of this, Chris recommended installing 4 GeoLock anchors along the 22-ft. block foundation for stabilization. Our thick, galvanized steel wall plates hold the wall in place from further movement and will potentially straighten the wall over time using a torque wrench.

Pete of Freeport PA had a concrete driveway and porch that needed to be inspected. Many of the slabs were uneven, causing potential trip hazards for anyone who would walk on them. Pete wanted a solution to lift the slabs instead of completely replacing them altogether.
Baker’s repaired the slabs with our patented PolyLEVEL polyurethane foam. Our noninvasive solution is installed through small penny sized holes underneath the treated area. The foam expands and raises the slab back to level. Most installations take less than a day, and is warranted for 5 years.
Pete was very pleased with our work and was even able to drive his car on his driveway 15 minutes after the installation!
A couple in North Apollo, PA noticed foundation cracks when they moved into their home in 1995. They were worried that selling their home in the future would be difficult, so they decided to find a permanent solution to the cracked and bowed wall problem.
Our certified waterproofing and foundation repair specialist surveyed the basement and outside of the home. He sat down with the couple to discuss their needs and preferences for the repair. Then, we designed the best-fitting solution.
Our crews installed 6 Geo-Lock wall anchors and 3 PowerBraces (steel I-beams) to properly stabilize the home's foundation walls.
The couple can sell in the future, without the worry of cracked foundation walls devaluing their home. And now they can enjoy this newly repaired living space!
A homeowner from Worthington, PA, could not use his basement as storage space because it was flooding during heavy rains. As much as 4 inches of water would seep into his basement when it was raining. The homeowner was frustrated that he could not use his basement, so he called the experts for a free estimate.
Our service advisor Justin Lowden came to the home and designed a custom proposal that will keep water from ruining the basement.
We installed our unique WaterGuard system around the entire perimeter of the basement. This sends the water to two different TripleSafe sump pumps. The discharge line was extended 15 feet on the exterior to keep the water away from the foundation. IceGuard was installed to ensure water can get out of the home even if the discharge line freezes or becomes clogged.
A few years later, the homeowner noticed water in his basement during heavy rain. We came back to the home and realized it was not the system we installed, but the water was backed up in old drains in the floor.
We replaced the drains for the homeowner, and now he has completely dry storage space in his basement!
A homeowner in Spring Church, PA had water coming in his basement when it rained. He had seen Baker's Waterproofing on TV and decided to call us for a basement solution.
One of our advisors conducted a free inspection at the home. He designed a waterproofing solution that would keep the basement clean and dry. The homeowner was excited to get the repair, so he scheduled the project that day.
Our crew, led by Foreman Brian Komen, installed 100 feet of our unique WaterGuard drainage system which leads to a TripleSafe sump pump. A trench drain was installed near the doors to catch any overflow of water. The discharge line for the sump pump was extended into the yard and would exit at the LawnScape outlet. An IceGuard fitting was attached to the line on the exterior so water could expel in the case of clogging or freezing.
CleanSpace vapor barrier was placed on the walls. Mold X-2 was sprayed before attaching the CleanSpace to protect against further mold growth, and a Sani-Dry Sedona dehumidifier was placed in the basement to take care of any moisture or mold spores in the air.
This homeowner had Baker's Waterproofing perform an annual maintenance check on his sump pump to check for any problems. He now has peace of mind that his system is properly working to keep his home dry.
