A free estimate repair by Baker’s Waterproofing was able to determine that 10 GeoLock wall anchors would need to be installed to stabilize the failing wall.
Geo-Lock anchors are a great choice to repair bowing, tipping, or buckling walls. Each individual anchor is installed by having a 16"x16" earth plate inserted in undisturbed soil approximately 12 ft. away from the wall. Along the interior basement wall, a 1” hole is drilled to push a galvanized steel rod out to the earth plate outside. Lastly the wall plate, which is visible in this photo, is attached. The connection is tightened which gives the foundation stability.
George of Coraopolis was seeing significant cracking along his foundation, a key sign of settlement or sinking. Fearing for the safety of his home he called Baker’s to look into repairing his foundation.
We repaired the foundation by installing 5 Push Piers. The PushPier system is able to permanently stabilize your foundation, and allows the best opportunity of lifting the foundation back to its original level. To install these piers your footing is first exposed and a bracket is secured to the footing. Next, steel tubes (piers) are hydraulically driven through the bracket to competent soils or bedrock. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load bearing strata. The home is then lifted back to level (if it is possible).
After the installation there is no doubt that George was glad that his foundation was now safely secured.

To stabilize, Baker’s Waterproofing and Foundation Repair installed 6 GeoLock wall anchors along the 28 ft. wall. This is our most recommended wall stabilization method. The system uses a clamping method of anchoring steel earth plates in the soil of the yard to wall plates along the basement's foundation, connected by galvanized steel rods. This connection holds the wall in place, and over time the anchors can be tightened to slowly straighten the wall back to its orginal position.
By installing our patented GeoLock wall anchors Sandra was able to continue turning her basement into the game room of her dreams.
The Oakmont Country Club called Baker’s to replacing their smashed downspout extensions as well as installing an interior basement waterproofing system.Their basement, used for storage of their golf carts, was intaking water when it would rain.
In the basement we installed our patented WaterGuard sub-floor drain as well as a sump pump system. Outside we installed 187 ft. of Landscape downspout extensions to replace the broken piping. The installation of all of these products will keep this basement dry.
Mary of Glenshaw was worried about the structural support of her home after she had noticed inward movement or bowing along the rear wall of her basement.
Baker’s used GeoLock wall anchors to stabilize the wall. Wall anchors are our most recommended way to repair foundations that are bowing, buckling, or tipping. Just like this particular case. GeoLock can be installed year round and are warranted for 25 years.
Baker’s created stability to a bowed basement wall in South Park Pa by installing 6 GeoLock wall anchors. The installation of the anchors uses a torqueing method that anchors earth plates submerged in the soil of the yard to wall plates attached to the wall, connected by a steel rod. This connection holds the wall in place and prevents any further movement. Over time the connection can be tightened and allows the chance of wall straightening.
Another home fixed by Baker’s!
In Cheswick PA a homeowner had a 6 ft. high crawl space with a foundation that was beginning to sink. If left untreated serious structural damage to home could occur. Knowing this, the homeowner called Baker’s for a free estimate to stabilze the foundation.
Service Advisor Chris Shrontz assessed the problem and recommended installing 10 SmartJack steel piers. The piers hold the foundation in place, preventing any more sinking.
Another home repaired by Baker’s!
In Cheswick PA the entire perimeter of a basement needed to be protected from infiltrating water damage. Water was coming in from all directions, incuding along the wall and up from the floor. Mold was also starting to take form. Something had to be done!
Baker’s assessed the basement and recommended that our interior sub-floor French drain be installed against the foundation, and that a sump pump be installed to move water outside of basement to a downspout line. Both products will prevent water from puddling along the floor.
Additionally along the foundation a white vapor barrier liner, similar to a pool liner, was hung. This prevents water damage along the wall, and with its’ “Ultrafresh” additive woven into the fabric, prevents future mold growth in the basement.
All 3 products come with a Lifetime Transferable warranty.
In Oakdale PA we restored foundation stability and confidence in the homeowner after installing 5 GeoLock wall anchors. By doing so, fixed the 1 1/2-inch bow that was occurring along the homeowner’s front foundation wall.

A finished basement in Morgan PA had a leak along the front and side wall that was disturbing the drywall paneling and carpeted floor during heavy rains. Desperate to fix this problem before any water damages to her home occurred, she called Baker’s.
Baker’s assessed the wet basement area and installed a basement waterproofing system this is specifically designed for finished basements. The carpet was rolled back to allow for our WaterGuard sub-floor drain to be installed along the footer with asump pump containing an air tight lid. Both patented products allow for the carpet to go over the system without fear of leaking.
Another dry basement!
Anita of Pitcairn PA was fed up with the LARGE puddles that would be left on her basement floor after snow melts and heavy rains. She needed help and decided to call the experts at Baker’s after hearing about great reputation from a previous customer.
Service Adviser Mike Felt assessed her wet basement and determined the best solution for her specific problem. Along the front and right facing wall our WaterGuard drain (74 ft.) was laid on top of the footer to prevent leaks along the foundation and through the floor. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to move water to the outside. Both products will keep this basement dry for years to come, and Anita now has a safe place to hold storage.
Karen of Crescent, PA had a major water leak along the front foundation wall of her basement. This was definitely a huge problem since her basement was finished and was starting to damage her carpeted floor and drywall. She needed a solution, so she called the experts at Baker’s for a free inspection.
Baker’s provided an internal basement waterproofing system. To protect future drywall from harm, we applied our durable CleanSpace vapor barrier along the porous foundation. Below the floor, on the footer we placed 34 ft. of our WaterGuard drain. Both products work together by CleanSpace pushing water down into the drain via its 3/8 wall flange. This keeps the floor protected. Lastly, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump that pumps water from the drain to an outside downspout.
Karen was so happy with our services she bought a SaniDry dehumidifying system months later!
Tom of Brackenridge PA had severe signs of foundation bowing in his garage. The large stair-step crack formations were causing him concern and decided to get it inspected. He said he wanted a qualified contractor that he could trust.
Baker’s assessed the wall and determined that in the worst area the wall had shifted 2” out of alignment. Luckily for Tom, this shifting or bowing is something Baker’s fixes every day! Instead of having the wall replaced, we had 8 GeoLock Channel wall anchors installed. Channel wall anchors are specifically desiged for extreme bowing, and will give the foundation stabilzation. Over time the wall system can be tightened to even straighten the wall back to its original position.

A board member at The United Methodist Church in Glassport PA called Baker’s to look at the church’s musty smelling and wet basement.
We inspected the multi-room area and proposed an internal basement waterproofing system that would eliminate any puddling water along the floor. This consisted of installing WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the rear and right block foundation walls where the leak was occurring. WaterGuard is easily rested on the footer and is designed to collect running water along the foundation and water by the floor seem. In companion to the french drain we installed a SuperSump sump pump. The Super will move water outside of the basement at a rate of 2,500 gallons water per hour.
No matter how large or small these patented and warranted products by Baker’s will keep this church dry for years to come!
The previous homeowner's daughter was preparing to sell her childhood home. In the beginning stages, she discovered issues that would greatly decrease the home’s value. A concrete deck located over the garage was cracking. Those cracks in the porous concrete led water to leak into the garage below. Previously, these cracks were repaired, but water continued to seep through the concrete. The daughter reached out to our company for a permanent solution. Soon thereafter, she was cleaning out the basement and discovered water seepage through some of their walls. They called one of our customer service representatives to schedule an additional appointment to prevent water from coming into the basement.
Their foreman, Michael Pry, and his crew installed one of our waterproofing options, WaterGuard Drainage System. This unique sub-floor drainage system sits on top of the foundation footing, and is proven to prevent clogging. Mike used a jackhammer to remove a small section of the basement’s concrete floor in order to create a drain trench. The crew then installed the 33-foot WaterGuard system along the perimeter, resting in a bed of drainage stone. Basement walls can leak from many points, including wall cracks, joints, and windows. Our unique system is designed with a wall flange, which collects water that may leak off the basement walls, and leads it into the WaterGuard system below. After the crew dug out an area near the right side of the wall, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This reliable discharge system will defend the basement against heavy rains and floods. The TripleSafe provides 3 levels of protection, including the cast-iron Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump, a more powerful Zoeller ½ horsepower pump, and an UltraSump Battery Backup System, which keeps the pumps working in the case of a power outage. The Iceguard Discharge Line was also installed on the outside of the home. It automatically ejects water away from the exterior wall in the rare event that the discharge lines freeze. The IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting, is designed with holes in it to allow this to happen, and water only escapes if the discharge line would become clogged or frozen.
The crew fixed the leaking concrete deck with our elastomeric coating. The Elastomeric Concrete Coating System creates a waterproof barrier for any rooms below, and protects concrete from the damaging effects of water, deicing salts, chemicals, gasoline, oils, and antifreeze.
Mr. and Mrs. homeowner had an old and faulty waterproofing system in place that was installed by a different company. They reached out to Baker’s Waterproofing professionals for a complete solution. There was mold in the basement and water was leaking into the basement, even with the existing drainage system in place.
Our production crew installed a sump pump and a complete waterproofing system to fix the homeowner’s wet and moldy basement. The foreman, Nathan Strobel, and his crew removed and replaced the homeowner's failing system with our Waterguard Drainage System. Our unique drainage system was installed to protect the entirety of the basement. Unlike competitors, our WaterGuard systems proven to prevent clogging with its’ strategically placed location, unique shape, and openings. This top-of-the-line draining system also has easy-to-access service ports and the ability to collect water that leaks out of basement walls, as well as ground water from under the floor. The basement’s perimeter was removed and dug out to make a trench for the drainage system to rest. Then, weep holes were drilled into the wall (directly above the trench), which allowed water to easily drain out of the walls and into the new system. In conjunction with this installation, the crew dug a small area in the basement to install the complete TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Once the WaterGuard system was in place, it was connected to the TripleSafe system. Then, gravel was backfilled around the sump pump liner beneath the floor and finished up with an airtight lid (the lid helps to keep odors out). The floor was then restored with concrete, now leaving the homeowners with a clean, dry basement.
The customer's daughter and son-in-law recently purchased a house in Pittsburgh, PA. The wall along their basement and garage was slightly bowed. He called us because he wanted straps installed, a simple solution we can provide for the new homeowners.
Our foreman, Mike Pry, and his crewman installed our CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System. The 9 CarbonArmor straps that were installed was a perfect, unobtrusive wall stabilizer. Mike and his crewman first cleaned the wall to ensure good adhesion. Each strap was cut to the exact length of the wall, then both the wall and the straps were saturated with high-strength epoxy. After the epoxy was applied and the straps were placed on the wall, a final topcoat of epoxy was applied.
The beauty of our CarbonArmor straps is their unobtrusive nature, meaning the new homeowners could conceal the straps with paint or dry wall. Not only did they stabilize their wall, but they can give it a clean, new look!
Mr. Bell was experiencing water issues on the exterior of his Verona home. He needed to address the fine cracks in his porch and front steps in order to prevent water leakage. Concrete is not waterproof and, therefore, is prone to damage. These cracks allow water to pass through, which could potentially lead the concrete slab to rot and corrode.
Our foreman, David Cain Jr., and his crew applied our ElastoMeric Coating to waterproof Mr. Bell's concrete porch and steps. Our ElastoMeric coating system consists of a cold-applied base coat and topcoat that creates a waterproof barrier. Elastomeric is a tough and flexible paint that seal cracks and keeps water out. The crew tried their best to match our waterproof sealant to the color of the porch, and we were able to maintain the porch's appearance. Our waterproofing solution will protect the concrete from the damaging effects of water, deicing salts, chemicals, gasoline, oils, and antifreeze. Mr. Bell can be certain that our product will keep water out of his concrete porch!
A Bethel Park homeowner discovered water leakage in their basement and garage. This homeowner wants to keep these areas dry to prevent mold growth and reduce odors. No longer should they have to worry about keeping their belongings dry and cleaning up these areas every time it rains. Thanks to our permanent solutions, we can give this homeowner peace of mind with a moisture-free home.
Our foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed a variety of our waterproofing products to address the issue. The crew dug a small trench along the perimeter of the basement and garage. Our internal French drain was installed to collect water and direct it to the sump pump. Our Trench Drain was also installed along the inside of the garage door to collect any water that would flood into the area. After installing the drains, the crew back-filled the trench with clean gravel and poured new concrete. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump was placed in a small pit in the corner of the basement, which is the lowest area of the home. This way, it is much easier for water to channel through the drain into the sump pump. Our IceGuard anti-freeze fitting was attached to the discharge line directly outside of the foundation. This line will direct water through the slots and away from the home in the event that the discharge line clogs or freezes. All water that our sump pump discharges escapes through our LawnScape Outlet. This green, grated outlet is connected to the downspout extension, and rests flush against the lawn. The crew also installed our SaniDry Sedona in the basement to keep dry air circulating throughout the area.
Even during rainy seasons, the homeowner's basement and garage is guaranteed to stay dry!
A Pittsburgh homeowner expressed concern for a damp basement. Water damage in the home can lead to humidity, foul odors, and mold growth. He needed a solution that would prevent water from flooding into his basement. This homeowner is a previous customer of ours, so he did not hesitate to call us for our permanent waterproofing solutions.
WaterGuard is our perimeter drainage system uniquely designed to keep basements dry. Our crew installed the drain above the footer, which helps prevent the system from clogging. Plus, the drain has a wall flange that extends slightly up the wall to catch wall leaks. To prevent humidity and moisture from entering this basement, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System. This white, plastic liner acts as a vapor barrier to keep the basement dry and give it a bright, new look. Dave and his crew carefully attached the vapor barrier to the wall with plastic drilled-in fasteners and tucked it behind the wall flange. All water will be directed to our TripleSafe Sump Pump System and discharged out of the basement. Our crew installed our reliable, powerful pumps, which included our UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump.
All of these products were installed to provide this homeowner with a healthy and dry basement!
A Verona, PA home was experiencing bowing, cracking, and tipping basement walls as well as a wet basement. During heavy rains, water would seep through the concrete block walls, however, the homeowner's main concern was the unstable foundation walls. For this reason, the customer chose to address the main problem first, then find a waterproofing solution at a later date.
Our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew stabilized the foundation walls with 19 of our Geo-Lock Channel Anchors. They dug small holes in the yard to place our galvanized earth anchors. Then, the crew drove galvanized steel rods through the foundation wall out to the anchors. After the steel rods were connected to the earth anchors, the channel anchors were fitted over the rods and mounted to the wall. The channels were then bolted to the floor for extra stability.
At a later date, our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our quality waterproofing products. They installed 122 feet of our unique WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain and 85 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System in the basement. The CleanSpace vapor barrier will direct wall leaks into our unique drainage system. All water will then be directed into our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. TripleSafe will pump out water that would otherwise flood into this basement. Water will be directed 12 feet away from the foundation through our downspout piping and reach the surface through our grated LawnScape Outlet.
These wall repair and waterproofing solutions are guaranteed to keep this basement both stable and dry!
A homeowner in Glenshaw, PA recently had a major plumbing leak in the basement. The floors were completely ruined due to extreme water damage. The homeowner expressed concern for another incident such as this, so he called our office to set up a free estimate for our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring.
Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed nearly 500 planks of our waterproof, faux wood flooring. The 4'' wide by 36'' long modular planks lock together, and can easily be removed, dried out, and reinstalled without having to be replaced! This high-tech wall reinforcing solution is the best way to keep this home structurally sound and improve overall home value!
A homeowner called our office to express concern for the wet basement in her condo. After every rain, she would find puddles of water in her home--the kind of stress no one should have to deal with. She was displeased with the look of her water-damaged basement walls and needed a solution as soon as possible. Our Service Advisor, Nick Freda, inspected this Bethel Park, PA condo to design a fitting proposal.
Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our BrightWall Paneling, interior French drain, TripleSafe Sump Pump with our UltraSump Battery Back-Up Pump, and LawnScape Outlet. All of these products work together to create a permanent waterproofing solution.
Our BrightWall rigid plastic paneling system was mechanically attached to the basement walls. The waterproof panels will never peel or flake like other wall systems might. Also, all wall leaks will be directed behind the panels into our interior French drain. All water will be channeled towards our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The pumps work hard to keep this basement dry at all times, even in the event of a power outage. Once discharged from the home, all water will travel through underground downspout piping. Water that tries flooding into the home will be discharged and eventually surface through our LawnScape Outlet far away from the foundation.
The original homeowner of a Carnegie, PA home built in 1958 had been dealing with a leaky basement for nearly two decades. The homeowner plans to place the house on the market, so she hired us to provide our permanent waterproofing solution that comes with our lifetime warranty.
Our Service Advisor, Bob Massaro, inspected the house, recommended the best solution, and printed out our proposal for the homeowner at the time of the appointment. She had already received estimates from two of our competitors, and was still planning to have a fourth estimate later that week. The homeowner wanted the work done as soon as possible, so our Customer Service Representative, Sara Harvey, worked diligently to schedule the job as soon as possible.
Sure enough, we won the job! Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump, WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, and BrightWall Paneling System. They installed our Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump in our TripleSafe liner, which was placed in a sump pit in the back corner of the basement. Our unique WaterGuard perimeter drain will collect water leaks and channel it into this sump pump system. Also, our BrightWall system was attached to the wall at a height of 1 foot above the drain. This waterproof paneling will direct water behind it and drain wall leaks into the drainage system below.
This job was completed within just one day!
A Pittsburgh, PA basement had flooded due to a water main break. Prior to this incident, the homeowner noticed a few damp spots in the basement. After the area flooded, it was the perfect opportunity to have the basement inspected for water-related issues. When our Service Advisor, Chris Shrontz, inspected the inside and outside of the home, he identified bowing walls in addition to the wet basement.
Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed various products for the best-fitted waterproofing and wall stabilization solutions. The bowing walls were permanently stabilized with 11 strategically placed Geo-Lock Channel Anchors. These 7-foot channels extend vertically on the interior foundation walls. They were connected to galvanized earth anchors with steel rods that extend 12 feet away from the home.
Dave and his crew installed 200 feet of our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, 2 of our TripleSafe Sump Pump Systems (1 with our Cast-Iron Zoeller 1/3 hp Pump and 1 with our UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump), and our CleanSpace Wall System. The vapor barrier, perimeter drain, and powerful sump pumps make for a solid waterproofing solution. Also, our crew installed 2 IceGuard Anti-Freeze Fittings on each downspout line to protect the home from flooding in the event the lines clog or freeze. All water discharged from the home will run through underground downspout piping, then daylight through a LawnScape Outlet.
Now, the homeowner can have peace of mind with a permanently stabilized and moisture-free home!
Previously, Homestead, PA homeowners had our waterproofing system installed in their basement. When our Service Advisor, Doug Ross, originally inspected the house, he proposed our wall anchor system, but they did not want to fix the problem at that time. Now, they have decided to address their severely cracked, bowing walls.
The homeowners were concerned about the structural integrity of their foundation, so our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed our Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System. The walls were bowed inwards between 1 foot all the way up to 3 feet in certain areas. Our wall anchors immediately and permanently stabilized the foundation walls. Tom gave the homeowners a torque kit for the ability to tighten the system and potentially return the wall back to its original position over time.
Homeowners in Bethel Park, PA plan to sell their home, but first needed to address their damp, moldy basement. A Real Estate Agent from Howard Hannah handled this project for the sellers.
Exposure to mold can cause harmful effects to those residing in the home. Water in the basement caused mold to grow on the walls, just one harmful effect of a damp basement.
Our Service Advisor, Shawn Evans, inspected the house to design a solution for the wet and moldy basement. Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System on 36 feet of the walls. This durable, mold-resistant vapor barrier easily attaches to basement walls with drilled-in fasteners. In conjunction with the wall system, Dave and his crew installed our perimeter French drainage system. This interior drain was placed on top of clean gravel in a small perimeter trench, then was back-filled with more gravel. Lastly, new concrete was hand-poured over the trench. The drainage system connects to our Triple Safe Sump Pump System to keep all water out of the basement. At the same time the crew dug the perimeter trench, they dug a small sump pit in one corner of the basement, then completed the same installation process for the sump pump system. In this case, the sump pump liner contains 1 powerful Zoeller pump with a discharge line that was placed inside the trench to connect to the existing downspout. On the exterior, our crew installed our LawnScape Outlet, an underground downspout extension that allows water to daylight far away from the house.
This project was successfully completed in just one day!

It is durable and protected even in harsh weather conditions. Plus, it cures in just 60 minutes.
These waterproof concrete products are a quick and easy installation with long-lasting results!
Previously, a homeowner in Monroeville, PA hired our company to install a complete interior waterproofing system.
About a year later, the homeowner decided to add our reliable UltraSump Battery Backup Pump. In the case of a tripped circuit, power outage, or sump pump failure, this heavy-duty battery backup can pump more than 11,500 gallons of water on a full charge. It is the best addition to any TripleSafe sump pump system to ensure the home stays dry at all times.
Now, the homeowner won't have to worry about water damage even if the power goes out when he's away from home!
Basement leaks are not just a headache, they can also cause serious foundation issues. So when a homeowner in Allison Park told us about a wet basement, one of our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Professionals, Paul Zaremski, visited the home to complete a free inspection.
On the day of the appointment, Paul identified obstacles our installation crew would encounter and what the best solution is for the home. Our crew needed to remove and later replace a hot water tank. The homeowner told Paul that he wanted to put the house on the market, so he wanted a long-lasting system he could trust.
At a later date, we arrived at the home to install our proven waterproofing solution. This included our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain, TripleSafe sump pump system, and LawnScape underground downspout extension. The waterproofing system wraps around the entire perimeter of the basement. All leaks will be caught in the perforated drain and led into the sump pump system. After water is discharged from the home, it is directed into the underground downspout extension. The buried pipe allows water to flow to the ground surface at our special LawnScape outlet.
A homeowner identified a water problem near the exterior of the home. Two faulty downspout extensions leaked water near the foundation walls. If left alone, this could have led to serious water problems on the inside of the home, but luckily there is a simple, cost-effective fix!
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Tom Faessel, inspected the home and proposed our LawnScape underground downspout extension be installed for a permanent solution. After the homeowner hired Baker's Waterproofing for the project, our crew arrived with the necessary products and tools. First, Rich Rotolo and his crewman removed the old extensions and removed the sod. Then, they connected PVC pipe to each existing downspout and ran the piping underground, away from the foundation. Next, the crew connected the pipes, then tied it into our LawnScape well. The only visible part is the green LawnScape outlet that rests flush with the lawn. For the last step, Rich and his crew replaced the dirt and sod in the yard.
Now, water drainage from the roof is directed far away from the home and onto the surface through the LawnScape underground downspout extension.
A homeowner called the representatives at our office facility to schedule a free in-home waterproofing inspection. While on site, our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Kevin Smith, inspected the inside and outside of the home. Then, Kevin sat down with the homeowner and considered his concerns before Kevin designed and explained the service.
Kevin discovered that we had to work within the homeowner's small budget, so we proposed a partial waterproofing system.
The homeowner's goal is to finish his basement. Here, our customized solution is a great advantage, because the homeowner can continue to add onto his system as he continues to save money for the full perimeter waterproofing project he requested.
The system currently includes our interior below-floor WaterGuard drain and our TripleSafe sump pump system. Our system controls water BEFORE it enters the basement, then pumps it outside, far away from the foundation.
We look forward to completing the full waterproofing system in the future, so the homeowner can finally finish and enjoy their basement area!
A homeowner in Oakmont called Baker's Waterproofing to inspect the crawl space beneath her townhouse. She never saw the inside of the crawl space, but she wanted a free assessment of the potential problems that could have a negative effect on the rest of her home.
Our Service Advisor inspected the crawl space, then informed the homeowner about the findings. After explaining the issues in her home, we learned that the homeowner was concerned about stabilizing the structure and controlling moisture. She hired us to complete the crawl space repair project.
At a later date, our crawl space crew arrived at the townhouse with a variety of our patented products. First, Ken and his crew installed our CleanSpace drainage matting, moisture barrier, and some drainage pipe to control the moisture. Then, the crew installed our SmartSump crawl space sump pump system to pump the moisture out of the home. We also sprayed our Mold-X2 stain remover to prevent future mold growth. Lastly for the waterproofing project, they sealed off hot/cold outside air with our CleanSpace crawl space vent covers.
Once the moisture problem in the dirt crawl space was addressed, Ken and his crew installed our SmartJack supplemental support system. This system permanently stabilized the crawl space joists. One year later, we visited the home to tighten the system, and lifted the first floor of the townhouse about 1 inch.
Over the last couple years, a major water problem surfaced at this Wexford home. The house experienced surface runoff that led to basement flooding at least 4 times a year. The homeowner did not want his family to continue dealing with this annoying problem, so he called Baker's Waterproofing.
Our Certified Waterproofing Professional completed a thorough inspection on the inside and outside of the home. Then, he sat down with the homeowner and factored all concerns into his custom waterproofing proposal. The homeowner requested that we install a curtain drain, and refused our recommendation for a basement drainage system. We were able to accommodate to the family's immediate concerns.
Our crew dug 190 feet of our curtain drain within the yard. A trench was dug about 30 feet away from the foundation which will help to prevent the yard from “ponding” but cannot guarantee a dry basement. The trench was backfilled with 40 barrels of gravel and will intercept water coming from sloping terrain. This water will travel through the drain and daylight at the LawnScape outlet. LawnScape has a well that allows water to exit through the grated outlet and onto the lawn once it is completely filled up.
Two months later, the homeowner shared that their system has been working great!
In January, water leaked into a North Versailles basement for the very first time. The basement leak ruined the carpet and all of the homeowner's personal belongings. He removed the carpet and threw away everything that had been damaged. One month later, the basement leaked again, this time up to 4 inches. That is when he called Baker's Waterproofing.
We sent a Certified Waterproofing Specialist to inspect the inside and outside of the home. Kevin Smith proposed a solution that would address the front portion of the basement, the only leaking foundation wall. In the future, if the homeowner wants to also prevent future leaks, our crew can easily add on to the system.
The homeowner liked our product and price, so he hired us for the waterproofing project.
Our crew, led by Foreman David Cain, arrived at the property with all of the necessary products and tools. David and his crew installed 1 TripleSafe sump pump with a battery backup pump, WaterGuard below-floor drainage, and LawnScape underground downspout extension. Now, the homeowner can refinish his basement with peace of mind knowing that our patented products will keep the basement dry!
A competitor had previously installed an exterior drainage system to stop water from leaking through a foundation. However, the drain proved to be widely unsuccessful for this Pittsburgh house. The homeowner still had a large amount of water in her basement! Eventually, she decided to look into other options including an interior drainage system and sump pump system.
The homeowner scheduled a free inspection with a Baker's Waterproofing expert and hired us for the project.
Usually, existing drains alongside a foundation footing fails, because dirt clogs the pipe. The solution is our WaterGuard drain that is designed specifically to be an efficient, long-lasting interior waterproofing system. WaterGuard sits on top of the footing, instead of alongside it where there is clogging potential. All water is now caught in the WaterGuard drain and directed into our sump pump system. The TripleSafe sump pump system includes a powerful pump and 1 UltraSump battery backup pump to help prevent basement flooding.
A homeowner in Bethel Park had water and mud seeping through his front basement wall. He attended the South Hills Home Show in the spring and visited the Baker's Waterproofing booth to get started on finding a reliable solution.
Kevin Smith inspected the home and took a closer look at the unique foundation. The foundation footing seemed to be crumbled in some areas or didn't extend past the first block. The concrete floor slab was extremely thin as well, making it impossible to install our typical drain. Luckily, Baker's has an alternative solution to this drain, our FlowGuard drain.
While on the job, Mike Pry and his crew cleaned off the walls with a mold stain remover and attached our durable vapor barrier on the damp walls. Further, Mold-X2 prevents mold growth while CleanSpace prevents water and humidity from passing through the barrier. The crew placed the thin FlowGuard drain on top of a bed of clean gravel with flange-less WaterGuard buried beside it. They tucked the vapor barrier behind the drain's wall flange to catch water and water vapor. Mike installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity low in the basement. Now, water is redirected into the TripleSafe sump pump system.
Mike and his crew successfully fixed this basement in 2 days. Now, the homeowner is happy with the result of a dry, healthy basement!
Pittsburgh homeowners have not experienced basement water issues until very recently. The last freeze-thaw cycle caused water to seep through 3 foundation walls and flood 1/4'' of water onto the floor. The couple was concerned that the problem would continue to get worse, so they called Baker's Waterproofing.
Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Shawn Jackson, completed a thorough inspection of this home. Shawn learned that the couple wants to prevent any further issues and turn the basement back into a comfortable living space. He designed a proposal that they were satisfied with and they moved forward with the project.
Our crew, led by Foreman David Cain, reviewed the installation process with the homeowners before starting the work. David and his crew dug out a small perimeter trench only along 3 walls that they wanted to repair for the time being. They also dug a small sump hole in the low-lying corner of the basement. The crew placed our WaterGuard drain on top of the foundation footing and connected it to the airtight TripleSafe system. The crew backfilled the trench and sump hole with clean gravel and hand-poured fresh concrete.
This TripleSafe system includes 2 powerful Zoeller pumps and 1 UltraSump battery backup pump. It always includes a WaterWatch alarm, SuperLiner sump liner, airtight sump lid, and CleanPump stands. Now, the couple can count on their powerful and reliable sump system to keep their basement dry.
A homeowner from Imperial had wet, moldy walls in his basement. For years, they didn't address this problem, but it only got worse. Eventually, they wanted to address the mold and finally finish their basement with a waterproofing system that they could trust. Their existing, failing sump pump was installed by a competitor five years ago, so now they wanted Baker's Waterproofing to inspect and identify their basement needs.
Bob completed a thorough inspection and recommended a full perimeter WaterGuard drainage system, two TripleSafe sump pumps, CleanSpace wall system, Mold-X2 cleaner, and LawnScape underground discharge extension. A few weeks later, Rich and his crew installed our proven basement waterproofing system that now keeps this Imperial basement dry.
One year after the installation, the homeowner was concerned that there was mold growing on an area in which we sprayed our Mold-X2 formula. We immediately scheduled our Service Technician to take a look at the wall. At the home, we assured the homeowner that it was not mold, but rather existing discoloration and there was no negative effects on their system's functionality. We recommend annual maintenance appointments to make sure everything continues to work properly, so you can extend the life of your system.

This homeowner called Baker's Waterproofing, because lately the bottom of his basement walls were getting a lot of water after heavy rains. Our Service Advisor, Paul, met with the homowner and his wife to design a custom basement solution for that concerning problem.
Paul completed a thorough inspection of the inside and outside of the house. He identified water entering through all of the basement walls and some areas in the garage. As Paul designed their system, he didn't include anything to address the damp garage per the homeowner's request. A unique feature about our solution is that the husband and wife can add to it at any time to protect their entire below-grade space.
Our crew, led by Theron, installed 88 feet of our WaterGuard below-floor drain. This drain is installed on top of the foundation footing at the floor-wall joint with minimal disruption to the home. One WaterGuard inspection port was included for system maintenance.
Theron and his crew led the drain to our TripleSafe sump pump system. The system was placed in a small sump hole and tied into their existing downspout to daylight. Their TripleSafe includes 2 powerful pumps, one being the lifesaving battery-powered UltraSump pump. After our crew flood-tested the system to ensure functionality, the work areas were back-filled with clean gravel and re-finished with fresh, hand-poured concrete.
In just one project day, our team successfully waterproofed this Chester basement!
A customer scheduled an annual service appointment to maintain the life of her existing basement waterproofing system.
We originally installed the system in 2004, so we recommended that she replace the worn out pump. Our tenured Service Technician also recommended fixing the gutter downspouts with our LawnScape underground extension.
At a later date, she decided to move forward with the project. Our crew installed 2 LawnScape extensions with a total of 60 feet in underground piping.
Now, water that enters either of the two gutter downspouts will travel far away from the foundation and daylight at a small, camouflaged outlet in the homeowner's lawn.
