The soils beneath this sidewalk were not fully supporting the weight of these concrete slabs. Our foreman and his crew injected our high-density PolyLevel slab solution to address the visible damage. The expanding properties of the polyurethane allow for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab. Our installation crew worked hard to give this homeowner a stable sidewalk, with peace of mind he would not have further foundation problems.

Our crew members got hard to work to repair this Churchill PA water damaged basement that also had foundation problems. The foundation walls were bowing inwardly and clearly the paint was chipping due to heavy condensation. Baker’s installed a basement waterproofing system that consisted of a sub-floor drain against the perimeter, a sump pump system, and white waterproof panels that protect the walls from water damage and even mold. Additionally the foundation was stabilized from further movement by installing GeoLock wall anchors. For a FREE estimate click HERE.

Murrysville Sump Pump Solutions

Murrysville homeowners were experiencing a variety of issues in their home. They were concerned about the water that was entering their basement every time it rained, the poor air quality, and the mold that was starting to form on the walls.

Baker’s installed a french drain, a sump pump systen, and SaniDry dehumidifying system to repair this space. This basement waterproofing system will keep this area dry!

A Wexford Home is in Need of Wall Anchors

Bill of Wexford noticed that one of his basement walls was beginning to bowing or push inwardly. This was definitely a concern since he was looking to sell his home in the near future.

A free estimate repair by Baker’s Waterproofing was able to determine that 10 GeoLock wall anchors would need to be installed to stabilize the failing wall.

Geo-Lock anchors are a great choice to repair bowing, tipping, or buckling walls. Each individual anchor is installed by having a 16"x16" earth plate inserted in undisturbed soil approximately 12 ft. away from the wall. Along the interior basement wall, a 1” hole is drilled to push a galvanized steel rod out to the earth plate outside. Lastly the wall plate, which is visible in this photo, is attached. The connection is tightened which gives the foundation stability.

Foundation Settlement Repair

George of Coraopolis was seeing significant cracking along his foundation, a key sign of settlement or sinking. Fearing for the safety of his home he called Baker’s to look into repairing his foundation.

We repaired the foundation by installing 5 Push Piers. The PushPier system is able to permanently stabilize your foundation, and allows the best opportunity of lifting the foundation back to its original level. To install these piers your footing is first exposed and a bracket is secured to the footing. Next, steel tubes (piers) are hydraulically driven through the bracket to competent soils or bedrock. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load bearing strata. The home is then lifted back to level (if it is possible).

After the installation there is no doubt that George was glad that his foundation was now safely secured.

A Waterproofed Basement

Greg and Judy of Bethel Park have been living in their home for nearly 10 years. Recently they have been experiencing water leaking into their basement through the front and right side walls. This was definitely starting to cause concern for couple since they were causally looking to sell their home. (On average a house is devalued by 20% if there are any water issues pertaining to the house.)

Service Advisor Tom Eckersley proposed a SuperSump sump pump system, and a sub-floor, interior french drainage system against front and side walls. Additionally, they had their downspout extended 40 ft. with LawnScape drain piping submerge in the soil of the yard to direct water further away from the home. Lastly since the block foundation walls were porous with water coming in through cracks, BrightWall white panels were mechanically fastened to the walls to block wall leakage and to brighten up the space.

The job was completed in 2 days and Greg and Judy were very pleased to see that their home was waterproofed and ready to be placed on the market.

He explained that it is a high density urethane polymer foam that is inserted underneath through penny sized holes. The foam expands, raising the slab back to level. POLYLEVEL is 100% waterproof and will last 80 years!

After PolyLEVEL was inserted Leo was very happy to see that his sunken concrete slab was properly leveled and was now free from any trip hazards!

Bowed Wall and Foundation Repair in Gibsonia, PA

After noticing a bow of 1” along the side wall of his home, Patrick of Gibsonia called Baker’s Waterproofing to set up a free estimate to assess and to fix the wall. Baker’s assessed the situation and proposed the installation of 4 Geo-Lock wall anchors to stabilize the failing wall.

This is by far our most recommended way to giving stability to basement walls that are bowing, tilting, bulging or shifting in any way. They also give the chance of straightening the wall back its original position over time. Our anchoring system comes with 25 year Manufactures Warranty.

Patrick was so happy with his results that he later purchased our CleanSpace wall liner and ThermalDry floor tiles 3 years later.

Bowed Wall Repair in West Mifflin, PA

Justin K of West Mifflin, PA had a bowed wall measuring to be 5/8”. Knowing about the dangerous foundation issues this could cause, Justin decided to contact Baker’s for a free estimate on how to repair the foundation of his home.

After the inspection given by Service Advisor Nick Freda he was able to determine that 5 Carbon Armor straps would be installed to Justin's 17 ft. front wall since we could not use anchors in this particular case.

Not to fear, Carbon Armors are a great choice. 10x stronger than steel and are the same technology used by the US Department of Defense, Army Corp of Engineers and aerospace engineers to reinforce skyscrapers, bomb shelters and bridges around the world.

Daniel of Springdale, PA had water accumulating from all areas of his 110 sq. ft. basement during heavy rains. He decided to call Baker’s to receive an estimate on having his entire basement waterproofed.

The inspection was conducted by Service Advisor Michael Richmond. He determined the best waterproofing solution for Daniel’s specific case. He had our patented WaterGuard french drain, a system that is a result of years of R&D from the largest network of water proofers in the world, installed around the entire basement perimeter flush with the floor. Along with the drain, a SuperSump pump was installed with a battery backup pump. Lastly, since Daniel’s walls were prone to condensation, we applied white vapor protective panels called BrightWall. Waterproofing and Floor Finishing in Mckeesport, PA

Nick of Mckeesport PA was having substantial amounts of water entering his basement during heavy rains from the front and sides walls. This was definitely a cause for concern since he wanted to finish his basement in the near future.

Service Advisor Tom Eckersley was able to create a solution that met Nick's specific goals. To waterproof the basement in areas where water was entering Water Guard sub floor drainage was inserted over top of the footer to the front and sides walls. Water Guard leads water to the sump pump. Since Nick wanted to keep his basement dry under all circumstances he had both a Super and Ultra sump pump installed. The Super Sump is the main pump in this system. It has the ability of pumping 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of Nick's basement. The Ultra sump is battery operated and is the backup pump if power fails to the Super Sump.

As additional features to this system, Nick purchased our Clean Space liner which was applied to the walls preventing water from permeating through. This is a great asset for finished basements since drywall can be applied over top. He also purchased our Thermal Dry flooring. Thermal Dry is a lock tile flooring system which creates a barrier for moisture and mold. The titles come in a variety of shades and designs. Lastly he had a SaniDry dehumdifying installed. The Sani Dry is more powerful than a standard house humidifier and is a great solution to purifying your basement's air which helps to prevent future mold growth.

Waterproofing and Vapor Wall Protection

Michael of Oakmont, PA was having both water leakage and mold growth in his basement. Clearly not happy he called Baker’s Waterproofing for a way into tackling this ongoing issue.

Service Advisor Tom Eckersley was able to create a great solution that addressed all the issues Michael was having. Bowing Wall Stabilized

Gladys of Upper St. Claire was starting to see stair-steps cracking on her basement walls. After further inspection she noticed that her back garage and basement walls were bowing inwards 1 1/2” in the worst area. Knowing about our "Strong Reputation and Solid Foundation" Gladys called Baker’s for a free estimate.

After a free inspection we proposed stabilizing the wall with our most recommend wall restoration system, GeoLock wall anchors. This system uses a clamping method that anchors steel wall plates to exterior earth plates submerged in the soil of yard through the connection of a steel rod. This connection is tightened over time to straighten the wall.

Water and Bowing Walls

In Bethel Park the front 38ft. wall, which consisted of both the garage and basement, was bowing. On top of this, homeowners Karen and Andy needed a preventive waterproofing system in their basement so they could finish the area as a game room.

We repaired the wall by installing 13 GeoLock wall anchors and 2 Channel anchors. Both systems work together to keep the wall securely in place to prevent further movement. Channel anchors were placed where the wall was bowing the most.

In the basement we installed a French drainage system, and a SuperSump sump to move water to the outside. Additionally since the homeowners wanted to finish the basement we applied ThermalDry wall insulation to the walls to insulate and to protect the wall from water damage.

To add, polymer foam and the equipment used are by far less messy than mud jacking.

Our system comes with a 5 year warranty.

Sidewalk Slabs Raised!

As you can see from these photos this Natrona Heights sidewalk had a very uneven concrete slab that led up to homeowner Gary’s house. He needed a solution to raising and leveling the slab. Baker’s was there for a solution.

Service Advisor Krys Webster introduced and proposed our innovative PolyLEVEL solution. He had 66 lbs. of the polyurethane foam pumped underneath the slab through penny sized holes coming from a pump connected to our PolyLEVEL truck. Once inserted the foam expanded, lifting the slab back to level once again.

We love Poly! PolyLEVEL is a great noninvasive and eco-friendly solution to restoring slabs to driveways, sidewalks, patios, and even pool decks. The lightweight foam is 100% waterproof, and comes with a 5 year warranty.

Concrete Back Patio Lifted and Leveled

The back patio concrete slabs of this South Park home were greatly uneven. This was also allowing water to seep down into the basement from the ceiling. We leveled the patio with PolyLEVEL.

PolyLEVEL is installed with minimal invasion or disturbance to the area. Small penny sized holes are drilled into the slabs so to inject the PolyLEVEL polyurethane foam underneath. Upon injection, the foam expands and the slabs raise back to their original position. Afterwards the holes are patched with cement.

This new and innovative solution is significantly less expensive than completely replacing concrete and less invasive and messy than the technique of mud jacking. The foam is 100% waterproof and comes with a 5 year warranty.

Sunken Front Steps

The Timbridge Condo Complex located in Bethel Park needed to repair several walkways leading up to their beloved condos. Several of the front stoops had sunken, causing potential trip hazards to anyone visiting the residents of the condos. We repaired and raised the slabs with PolyLEVEL concrete leveling foam.

PolyLEVEL is the result of years of R & D! More innovative than the messy cement-based technique of mud jacking, PolyLEVEL is a lightweight polyurethane foam material that is easily pumped underneath concrete through small penny sized holes. The polymer foam reacts upon being injected, raising the slabs back to their original position. The area is then properly cleaned and the holes are patched with cement.

PolyLEVEL is great solution to repairing sunken concrete slabs of driveways, patios, sidewalks, and even pool decks. The repair system comes with a 5 year warranty, and can even be installed in less than 15 minutes depending on the size of the job.

Crawl Space and Basement Fixed!

A Penn Hills home had both a basement and crawl space that were experiencing problems. Water was intruding the unfinished basement area, while the crawl space was beginning to smell and had mold growth on the walls. Homeowner Mark called Baker’s for a solution.

In the basement, we proposed our most recommended interior drainage system WaterGuard, with a SuperSump sump pump. We also had the crawl space encapsulated with our patented CleanSpace crawl space liner and had a SaniDry dehumidifying system installed to improve the overall air quality.

All these products create a safe and dry basement and crawl space.

Waterproofing with Downspout Extensions !

Homeowner Joe needed to waterproof his basement/garage area before he could even think about selling his Pleasant Hills home. The front wall was intruding water and mold was even starting to grow in the corner!

Baker’s Waterproofing repaired the leak by installing our WaterGuard patented french drainage system flush with the floor. Our french drain is a result of years of research and design from the largest supplier of basement waterproofing products in the world, and all are backed with a transferable lifetime warranty if you sell your home, just like Joe. Connected to the drain, was a SuperSump pump system with a connected battery backup which allows this system to work even during power shortages.

Additionally Joe wanted to route water out and away from his foundation. Baker’s extended his downspout by installing LawnScape drain piping within the soil of the yard.

Bowed Wall Restored with Power Braces

Couple Dan and Erin of Whitehall needed a solution to restoring their bowed in basement wall. The issue had only been getting worse over time, and needed a solution quickly.

Service Advisor Justin Lowden gave the free inspection. He determined that anchors were unusable since the exterior sides of wall were not accessible. Instead a low key solution was propsed, using our PowerBrace system. PowerBraces consist of rust-resistant steel I-beams that are easily attached vertical to the wall in areas where it has bowed. Once in place the wall is considered stable and will not move any further. The Power Brace system also comes with a tightening kit that will attempt to straighten the wall over time.

Foundation Settlement in Munhall PA

Homeowners John and Linda of Munhall needed a solution to their sunken foundation.

To restore the foundation 13 of our patented Push Piers were installed. These straight steel piers were attached to the footer of the home by a bracket. The piers were then hydraulically driven into the ground to stronger and more supporting soil. This allowed the weight of the home to transfer on to the piers instead, making the home stabile and secure.

Sidewalk Slab Repair

The front sidewalk leading up to this Allison Park home was greatly uneven. The slab had sunk so much that it was becoming a trip hazard to anyone visiting the home. Homeowner Paul called Baker’s after seeing advertising on our PolyLEVEL foam.

Service Advisor Tom Eckersley conducted the free estimate and explained the numerous benefits of the product. Our construction crew installed the foam by drilling penny sized holes into the slab for the foam to be pumped underneath. The foam expanded, raising the slab back to level. Afterwards the holes were patched with concrete.

PolyLEVEL is a new and innovative product that combines the technique of mudjacking with modern technology from our network supplier, Foundation Supportworks. PolyLEVEL is a lightweight foam that is 100% waterproof, and significantly more affordable than completely replacing sunken slabs. It has been used for years to repair roads for commercial projects by engineers and is now able to be used for residential areas too!

Waterproofing for Finishing a Basement

Sharon of Pittsburgh had a basement with leaking water. When it would rain water would puddle along the floor, and leave an odorous smell even after it was cleaned up.

Baker’s Waterproofing installed a waterproofing system that was specifically designed for finished basements. Our patented WaterGuard sub-floor drain and sump pump called the SuperSump were installed with minimal invasion to the floor. This will allow finished flooring and wall paneling to be applied over the system later on.

Sharon’s basement will now effectively remain dry!

Sump Pump Replacement

Homeowners Zach and Kristen went with Baker’s as opposed to other competitors to replace their existing sump pump. They were highly recommended by a friend who also used us in the past.

We replaced and installed a TripleSafe sump pump for full protection. The TripleSafe is a sump pump that will keep the basement dry, period! This sump contains 3 Zoeller powered motors and 2 discharge lines to remove large amounts of water quickly. The first 2 pumps together can move roughly 6,200 gallons of water per hour out of a basement. The 3rd pump is a battery operated back up system that works if the power fails, ensuring that the sump pump will keep working.  We highly recommend this pump if water infiltration is common and substantial.

By installing the TripleSafe Zach and Kristen now have a dry basement!

Along with our patented waterproofing system, we installed finished floor tiles called ThermalDry. These tiles come in a variety of neutral colors and will completely protect from water as well as insulate the cold concrete floor below in Lousia's basement. Lastly, we installed BrightWall vapor protective white panels along the walls. They not only brighten up this room, but they also protect from further water damage, and prevent future mold growth.

Bowed Basement Wall Repair in Monroeville

Sandra of Monroeville, PA was in the process of refinishing her basement into a game room. After removing the paneling, she noticed large horizontal cracks along the foundation that indicated that the front wall was bowing.

To stabilize, Baker’s Waterproofing and Foundation Repair installed 6 GeoLock wall anchors along the 28 ft. wall. This is our most recommended wall stabilization method. The system uses a clamping method of anchoring steel earth plates in the soil of the yard to wall plates along the basement's foundation, connected by galvanized steel rods. This connection holds the wall in place, and over time the anchors can be tightened to slowly straighten the wall back to its orginal position.

By installing our patented GeoLock wall anchors Sandra was able to continue turning her basement into the game room of her dreams.

Bowing Wall Repair

Baker’s created stability to a bowed basement wall in South Park Pa by installing 6 GeoLock wall anchors.  The installation of the anchors uses a torqueing method that anchors earth plates submerged in the soil of the yard to wall plates attached to the wall, connected by a steel rod. This connection holds the wall in place and prevents any further movement. Over time the connection can be tightened and allows the chance of wall straightening.

Basement Waterproofing in Cheswick PA

In Cheswick PA the entire perimeter of a basement needed to be protected from infiltrating water damage. Water was coming in from all directions, incuding along the wall and up from the floor. Mold was also starting to take form. Something had to be done!

Baker’s assessed the basement and recommended that our interior sub-floor French drain be installed  against the foundation, and that a sump pump be installed to move water outside of basement to a downspout line. Both products will prevent water from puddling along the floor.

Additionally along the foundation a white vapor barrier liner, similar to a pool liner, was hung. This prevents water damage along the wall, and with its’ “Ultrafresh” additive woven into the fabric, prevents future mold growth in the basement.

All 3 products come with a Lifetime Transferable warranty.

Basment Waterproofing in Pitcairn PA

Anita of Pitcairn PA was fed up with the LARGE puddles that would be left on her basement floor after snow melts and heavy rains. She needed help and decided to call the experts at Baker’s after hearing about great reputation from a previous customer.

Service Adviser Mike Felt assessed her wet basement and determined the best solution for her specific problem. Along the front and right facing wall our WaterGuard drain (74 ft.)  was laid on top of the footer to prevent leaks along the foundation and through the floor. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to move water to the outside. Both products will keep this basement dry for years to come, and Anita now has a safe place to hold storage.

Finished Basement Waterproofing in Crescent, PA

Karen of Crescent, PA had a major water leak along the front foundation wall of her basement. This was definitely a huge problem since her basement was finished and was starting to damage her carpeted floor and drywall. She needed a solution, so she called the experts at Baker’s for a free inspection.

Baker’s provided an internal basement waterproofing system. To protect future drywall from harm, we applied our durable CleanSpace vapor barrier along the porous foundation. Below the floor, on the footer we placed 34 ft. of our WaterGuard drain. Both products work together by CleanSpace pushing water down into the drain via its 3/8 wall flange. This keeps the floor protected. Lastly, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump that pumps water from the drain to an outside downspout.

Karen was so happy with our services she bought a SaniDry dehumidifying system months later!

Garage Bowing Wall Repair in Brackenridge PA

Church Basement Waterproofing

A board member at The United Methodist Church in Glassport PA called Baker’s to look at the church’s musty smelling and wet basement.

We inspected the multi-room area and proposed an internal basement waterproofing system that would eliminate any puddling water along the floor. This consisted of installing WaterGuard sub-floor drainage along the rear and right block foundation walls where the leak was occurring. WaterGuard is easily rested on the footer and is designed to collect running water along the foundation and water by the floor seem. In companion to the french drain we installed a SuperSump sump pump. The Super will move water outside of the basement at a rate of 2,500 gallons water per hour.

No matter how large or small these patented and warranted products by Baker’s will keep this church dry for years to come!

Basement Waterproofing in Pittsburgh, PA

The previous homeowner's daughter was preparing to sell her childhood home. In the beginning stages, she discovered issues that would greatly decrease the home’s value. A concrete deck located over the garage was cracking. Those cracks in the porous concrete led water to leak into the garage below. Previously, these cracks were repaired, but water continued to seep through the concrete. The daughter reached out to our company for a permanent solution. Soon thereafter, she was cleaning out the basement and discovered water seepage through some of their walls. They called one of our customer service representatives to schedule an additional appointment to prevent water from coming into the basement.

Their foreman, Michael Pry, and his crew installed one of our waterproofing options, WaterGuard Drainage System. This unique sub-floor drainage system sits on top of the foundation footing, and is proven to prevent clogging. Mike used a jackhammer to remove a small section of the basement’s concrete floor in order to create a drain trench. The crew then installed the 33-foot WaterGuard system along the perimeter, resting in a bed of drainage stone. Basement walls can leak from many points, including wall cracks, joints, and windows. Our unique system is designed with a wall flange, which collects water that may leak off the basement walls, and leads it into the WaterGuard system below. After the crew dug out an area near the right side of the wall, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This reliable discharge system will defend the basement against heavy rains and floods. The TripleSafe provides 3 levels of protection, including the cast-iron Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump, a more powerful Zoeller ½ horsepower pump, and an UltraSump Battery Backup System, which keeps the pumps working in the case of a power outage. The Iceguard Discharge Line was also installed on the outside of the home. It automatically ejects water away from the exterior wall in the rare event that the discharge lines freeze. The IceGuard, an anti-freeze fitting, is designed with holes in it to allow this to happen, and water only escapes if the discharge line would become clogged or frozen.

The crew fixed the leaking concrete deck with our elastomeric coating. The Elastomeric Concrete Coating System creates a waterproof barrier for any rooms below, and protects concrete from the damaging effects of water, deicing salts, chemicals, gasoline, oils, and antifreeze.

Waterproofing System in Pittsburgh, PA

Mr. and Mrs. homeowner had an old and faulty waterproofing system in place that was installed by a different company. They reached out to Baker’s Waterproofing professionals for a complete solution. There was mold in the basement and water was leaking into the basement, even with the existing drainage system in place.

Our production crew installed a sump pump and a complete waterproofing system to fix the homeowner’s wet and moldy basement. The foreman, Nathan Strobel, and his crew removed and replaced the homeowner's failing system with our Waterguard Drainage System. Our unique drainage system was installed to protect the entirety of the basement. Unlike competitors, our WaterGuard systems proven to prevent clogging with its’ strategically placed location, unique shape, and openings. This top-of-the-line draining system also has easy-to-access service ports and the ability to collect water that leaks out of basement walls, as well as ground water from under the floor. The basement’s perimeter was removed and dug out to make a trench for the drainage system to rest. Then, weep holes were drilled into the wall (directly above the trench), which allowed water to easily drain out of the walls and into the new system. In conjunction with this installation, the crew dug a small area in the basement to install the complete TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Once the WaterGuard system was in place, it was connected to the TripleSafe system. Then, gravel was backfilled around the sump pump liner beneath the floor and finished up with an airtight lid (the lid helps to keep odors out). The floor was then restored with concrete, now leaving the homeowners with a clean, dry basement.

Wall Repair in Pittsburgh, PA

The customer's daughter and son-in-law recently purchased a house in Pittsburgh, PA. The wall along their basement and garage was slightly bowed. He called us because he wanted straps installed, a simple solution we can provide for the new homeowners.

Our foreman, Mike Pry, and his crewman installed our CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System. The 9 CarbonArmor straps that were installed was a perfect, unobtrusive wall stabilizer. Mike and his crewman first cleaned the wall to ensure good adhesion. Each strap was cut to the exact length of the wall, then both the wall and the straps were saturated with high-strength epoxy. After the epoxy was applied and the straps were placed on the wall, a final topcoat of epoxy was applied.

The beauty of our CarbonArmor straps is their unobtrusive nature, meaning the new homeowners could conceal the straps with paint or dry wall. Not only did they stabilize their wall, but they can give it a clean, new look!

Waterproof Sealant in Verona, PA

Mr. Bell was experiencing water issues on the exterior of his Verona home. He needed to address the fine cracks in his porch and front steps in order to prevent water leakage. Concrete is not waterproof and, therefore, is prone to damage. These cracks allow water to pass through, which could potentially lead the concrete slab to rot and corrode.

Our foreman, David Cain Jr., and his crew applied our ElastoMeric Coating to waterproof Mr. Bell's concrete porch and steps. Our ElastoMeric coating system consists of a cold-applied base coat and topcoat that creates a waterproof barrier. Elastomeric is a tough and flexible paint that seal cracks and keeps water out. The crew tried their best to match our waterproof sealant to the color of the porch, and we were able to maintain the porch's appearance. Our waterproofing solution will protect the concrete from the damaging effects of water, deicing salts, chemicals, gasoline, oils, and antifreeze. Mr. Bell can be certain that our product will keep water out of his concrete porch!

Waterproofing in Bethel Park, PA

A Bethel Park homeowner discovered water leakage in their basement and garage. This homeowner wants to keep these areas dry to prevent mold growth and reduce odors. No longer should they have to worry about keeping their belongings dry and cleaning up these areas every time it rains. Thanks to our permanent solutions, we can give this homeowner peace of mind with a moisture-free home.

Our foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed a variety of our waterproofing products to address the issue. The crew dug a small trench along the perimeter of the basement and garage. Our internal French drain was installed to collect water and direct it to the sump pump. Our Trench Drain was also installed along the inside of the garage door to collect any water that would flood into the area. After installing the drains, the crew back-filled the trench with clean gravel and poured new concrete. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump was placed in a small pit in the corner of the basement, which is the lowest area of the home. This way, it is much easier for water to channel through the drain into the sump pump. Our IceGuard anti-freeze fitting was attached to the discharge line directly outside of the foundation. This line will direct water through the slots and away from the home in the event that the discharge line clogs or freezes. All water that our sump pump discharges escapes through our LawnScape Outlet. This green, grated outlet is connected to the downspout extension, and rests flush against the lawn. The crew also installed our SaniDry Sedona in the basement to keep dry air circulating throughout the area.

Even during rainy seasons, the homeowner's basement and garage is guaranteed to stay dry!

WaterGuard & CleanSpace in Pittsburgh, PA

A Pittsburgh homeowner expressed concern for a damp basement. Water damage in the home can lead to humidity, foul odors, and mold growth. He needed a solution that would prevent water from flooding into his basement. This homeowner is a previous customer of ours, so he did not hesitate to call us for our permanent waterproofing solutions.

Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, CleanSpace Wall System, and TripleSafe Sump Pump System with our UltraSump Battery Back-up System.

WaterGuard is our perimeter drainage system uniquely designed to keep basements dry. Our crew installed the drain above the footer, which helps prevent the system from clogging. Plus, the drain has a wall flange that extends slightly up the wall to catch wall leaks. To prevent humidity and moisture from entering this basement, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System. This white, plastic liner acts as a vapor barrier to keep the basement dry and give it a bright, new look. Dave and his crew carefully attached the vapor barrier to the wall with plastic drilled-in fasteners and tucked it behind the wall flange. All water will be directed to our TripleSafe Sump Pump System and discharged out of the basement. Our crew installed our reliable, powerful pumps, which included our UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump.

All of these products were installed to provide this homeowner with a healthy and dry basement!

Wall Repair & Waterproofing in Verona, PA

A Verona, PA home was experiencing bowing, cracking, and tipping basement walls as well as a wet basement. During heavy rains, water would seep through the concrete block walls, however, the homeowner's main concern was the unstable foundation walls. For this reason, the customer chose to address the main problem first, then find a waterproofing solution at a later date.

Our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew stabilized the foundation walls with 19 of our Geo-Lock Channel Anchors. They dug small holes in the yard to place our galvanized earth anchors. Then, the crew drove galvanized steel rods through the foundation wall out to the anchors. After the steel rods were connected to the earth anchors, the channel anchors were fitted over the rods and mounted to the wall. The channels were then bolted to the floor for extra stability.

At a later date, our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our quality waterproofing products. They installed 122 feet of our unique WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain and 85 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System in the basement. The CleanSpace vapor barrier will direct wall leaks into our unique drainage system. All water will then be directed into our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. TripleSafe will pump out water that would otherwise flood into this basement. Water will be directed 12 feet away from the foundation through our downspout piping and reach the surface through our grated LawnScape Outlet.

These wall repair and waterproofing solutions are guaranteed to keep this basement both stable and dry!

CarbonArmor Wall Repair in Pittsburgh, PA

This Pittsburgh home was built back in 1968. The homeowner had been aware of cracking in the foundation walls for nearly 20 years. The reason he finally expressed concern years later was because he had plans to place his house on the market.

Our Service Advisor, Don Stiffler, completed a thorough inspection inside and outside of the house. After assessing the damage and any obstacles, he designed the best solution for the homeowner.

Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed 9 of our CarbonArmor straps. CarbonArmor uses fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) which are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against a basement wall. This high-tech wall reinforcing solution is the best way to keep this home structurally sound and improve overall home value!

Basement Waterproofing in Bethel Park, PA

A homeowner called our office to express concern for the wet basement in her condo. After every rain, she would find puddles of water in her home--the kind of stress no one should have to deal with. She was displeased with the look of her water-damaged basement walls and needed a solution as soon as possible. Our Service Advisor, Nick Freda, inspected this Bethel Park, PA condo to design a fitting proposal.

Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our BrightWall Paneling, interior French drain, TripleSafe Sump Pump with our UltraSump Battery Back-Up Pump, and LawnScape Outlet. All of these products work together to create a permanent waterproofing solution.

Our BrightWall rigid plastic paneling system was mechanically attached to the basement walls. The waterproof panels will never peel or flake like other wall systems might. Also, all wall leaks will be directed behind the panels into our interior French drain. All water will be channeled towards our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The pumps work hard to keep this basement dry at all times, even in the event of a power outage. Once discharged from the home, all water will travel through underground downspout piping. Water that tries flooding into the home will be discharged and eventually surface through our LawnScape Outlet far away from the foundation.

They installed our Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump in our TripleSafe liner, which was placed in a sump pit in the back corner of the basement. Our unique WaterGuard perimeter drain will collect water leaks and channel it into this sump pump system. Also, our BrightWall system was attached to the wall at a height of 1 foot above the drain. This waterproof paneling will direct water behind it and drain wall leaks into the drainage system below.

This job was completed within just one day!

Waterproofing & Wall Stabilization in Pittsburgh, PA

A Pittsburgh, PA basement had flooded due to a water main break. Prior to this incident, the homeowner noticed a few damp spots in the basement. After the area flooded, it was the perfect opportunity to have the basement inspected for water-related issues. When our Service Advisor, Chris Shrontz, inspected the inside and outside of the home, he identified bowing walls in addition to the wet basement.

Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed various products for the best-fitted waterproofing and wall stabilization solutions. The bowing walls were permanently stabilized with 11 strategically placed Geo-Lock Channel Anchors. These 7-foot channels extend vertically on the interior foundation walls. They were connected to galvanized earth anchors with steel rods that extend 12 feet away from the home.

Dave and his crew installed 200 feet of our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, 2 of our TripleSafe Sump Pump Systems (1 with our Cast-Iron Zoeller 1/3 hp Pump and 1 with our UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump), and our CleanSpace Wall System. The vapor barrier, perimeter drain, and powerful sump pumps make for a solid waterproofing solution. Also, our crew installed 2 IceGuard Anti-Freeze Fittings on each downspout line to protect the home from flooding in the event the lines clog or freeze. All water discharged from the home will run through underground downspout piping, then daylight through a LawnScape Outlet.

Now, the homeowner can have peace of mind with a permanently stabilized and moisture-free home!

Wall Repair in Homestead, PA

Previously, Homestead, PA homeowners had our waterproofing system installed in their basement. When our Service Advisor, Doug Ross, originally inspected the house, he proposed our wall anchor system, but they did not want to fix the problem at that time. Now, they have decided to address their severely cracked, bowing walls.

The homeowners were concerned about the structural integrity of their foundation, so our Foreman, Tom Hannah, and his crew installed our Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System. The walls were bowed inwards between 1 foot all the way up to 3 feet in certain areas. Our wall anchors immediately and permanently stabilized the foundation walls. Tom gave the homeowners a torque kit for the ability to tighten the system and potentially return the wall back to its original position over time.

The home will stay dry with our previously installed WaterGuard and TripleSafe systems and, now, it has regained its structural integrity!

Waterproofing a Damp, Moldy Basement in Bethel Park, PA

Homeowners in Bethel Park, PA plan to sell their home, but first needed to address their damp, moldy basement. A Real Estate Agent from Howard Hannah handled this project for the sellers.

Exposure to mold can cause harmful effects to those residing in the home. Water in the basement caused mold to grow on the walls, just one harmful effect of a damp basement.

Our Service Advisor, Shawn Evans, inspected the house to design a solution for the wet and moldy basement. Our Foreman, Dave Cain, and his crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System on 36 feet of the walls. This durable, mold-resistant vapor barrier easily attaches to basement walls with drilled-in fasteners. In conjunction with the wall system, Dave and his crew installed our perimeter French drainage system. This interior drain was placed on top of clean gravel in a small perimeter trench, then was back-filled with more gravel. Lastly, new concrete was hand-poured over the trench. The drainage system connects to our Triple Safe Sump Pump System to keep all water out of the basement. At the same time the crew dug the perimeter trench, they dug a small sump pit in one corner of the basement, then completed the same installation process for the sump pump system. In this case, the sump pump liner contains 1 powerful Zoeller pump with a discharge line that was placed inside the trench to connect to the existing downspout. On the exterior, our crew installed our LawnScape Outlet, an underground downspout extension that allows water to daylight far away from the house.

This project was successfully completed in just one day!

Crawl Space Repair in Pittsburgh, PA

A landlord in Pittsburgh expressed concern for the damages in one of his recently purchased properties. To save his investment, he wanted to repair the damp, nasty crawl space and failing supports.

Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Doug Ross, inspected the inside and outside of the home to determine the best-fitting solution. After sharing our install process and answering all of the owner's questions, Doug left a copy of the crawl space repair proposal.

Soon thereafter, the owner hired us to fix the damaged crawl space. Our crew, led by Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh, installed our CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier system. This system, along with our CleanSpace Drainage Matting, SmartSump crawl space drainage system, and LawnScape underground discharge outlet, will keep the earth's moisture out of the home.

Additionally, Ken and his crew installed our SmartJack crawl space stabilizer to repair the sagging crawl space. Our adjustable supplemental support system can often lift failing floor joists or beams, eliminating unwanted gaps and sagging spots in the first floor of the home.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Pittsburgh, PA

A Pittsburgh, PA homeowner was extremely concerned with the large crawl space beneath the first floor of his home. The earth's moisture was entering the crawl space and spreading a musty, moldy smell throughout the house.

Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Bob Massaro, inspected the home to design the best-fitting solution. Since there was not a major leakage problem, our CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier was a great proven product to repair the muggy crawl space.

Our crew, led by Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh, installed the durable vapor barrier as well as our CleanSpace drainage matting. The dimpled drainage matting rests on the crawl space floor just below the vapor barrier. Ken has been on the Baker's team since 2010, and recommended this additional product on the job to ensure the homeowner is completely satisfied with his dry, healthy crawl space.

Waterproofing and Humidity Control in Pittsburgh, PA

A couple living in a Pittsburgh, PA home desperately needed our services. The foundation was built in 1929, so it was no surprise when cracks began to develop, allowing water to seep through from the earth. Over time, this water leakage problem developed into a mold and humidity problem in the home as well.

Our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Don Stiffler, visited the home to complete a free, thorough inspection of the inside and outside of the house. Don discussed different options, then explained his proposed custom solution would not only fix the leaky areas, but also prevent the entire basement from future flooding. The couple wished to fix up their basement and protect their stored personal belongings, so they liked our custom-designed solution.

Our crew, led by Foreman Rich Rotolo, arrived at the old Pittsburgh home to make the repairs. The crew installed our Mold-X2 stain remover, WaterGuard below-floor drain, TripleSafe sump pump system, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, IceGuard discharge protection, and LawnScape underground discharge outlet. Rich and his crew cleaned the mold stains off the walls, then attached a bright, white wall vapor barrier to stop moisture from coming through the foundation. They installed our drain and sump pump systems with minimal disturbance to the home. The SaniDry Sedona was installed with TripleSafe to eliminate moisture and mold problems, as well as get rid of that damp, clammy feeling in the basement. On the exterior of the home, our IceGuard fitting acts as a form of protection against a clogged discharge line. Most of the time, water will travel through our LawnScape underground discharge extension to daylight at a grated outlet 10 feet away.

All of these products were necessary to keep this basement mold-free and moisture-free for a lifetime!

Dehumidifier and Waterproofing System in Pittsburgh, PA

Not more than 6 months at the new home, and a rainy season brings water flooding into the basement. The homeowner was hoping to address the immediate problem, and only pay for a partial perimeter system. Like any homeowner dealing with these same headaches, her goal is to have a dry and usable basement!

We inspected the home, designed a custom waterproofing solution, and took all of the homeowner's concerns into consideration before drafting the final quote. Then, at a later date, our crew arrived to repair the wet basement. This project included our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain, TripleSafe sump pump system, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and our bright, white vapor barrier. The dehumidifier will ensure the basement never gets that clammy feeling ever again.

Our customizable waterproofing solution will keep this basement dry! Now, she can actually use her own basement space for storage or finishing without the stress.

Drainage System in Gibsonia, PA

A married couple residing in Gibsonia, PA had been dealing with water in their basement for nearly 45 years! The house was built back in 1948, and the foundation developed leakage problems 25 years later. Ever since, they dealt with water puddling on their nice wood floors. This was an unusable basement, and they were tired of the constant clean up.

Our Service Advisor, George Hollenbeck, inspected the home to identify the problem and design a custom waterproofing solution. George left the proposal with them, so they could decide how to move forward with this major repair project.

At a later date, our crew, led by Foreman Rich Rotolo, arrived at the home to install our patented solution. Rich and his crew installed our WaterGuard below-floor drainage system, WaterGuard service ports, and TripleSafe sump pump system. The partial perimeter drainage system will collect all leaks and direct them into our sump pump system. The TripleSafe system will make sure that any water that tries to enter the basement is discharged out of the home. All water will daylight about 12 feet away from the exterior of the home.

Now, the couple can refinish their dry basement!

Basement & Crawl Space Waterproofing in Coraopolis, PA

A homeowner residing in Coraopolis identified a nasty crawl space in his home. The crawl space was not an area he had been in, so as soon as he noticed how unhealthy the space was, he contacted our team. Then, a couple months later a new basement water problem arose.

We installed our proven solutions in the crawl space and basement to keep these areas moisture-free. This project included our WaterGuard below-floor drain along the entire perimeter of the basement. This system was connected to our TripleSafe sump pump system in the corner of the basement. All groundwater that seeps through the foundation walls will be caught in the drainage system, pumped out of the home, and surfaced through our underground discharge extension, LawnScape, far away from the foundation. In the crawl space, our CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier will prevent any moisture and humidity from passing through. Two solutions left us with one happy customer!

Concrete Repair in Oakmont, PA

The owner of an Oakmont home lived out of state, but a trusted general contractor handled the process with our team members. The general contractor explained that the driveway needed to be leveled and caulked. Our Service Advisor completed a free in-house inspection to design the best concrete solution.

After the inspection, the crew installed our PolyLevel System to stabilize and lift the concrete slabs. Small (penny-sized) holes were drilled into the slab, and a structural-grade polymer was injected into the void. Our Nexus Pro joint sealant was later installed to divert surface water. It is durable and protected even in harsh weather conditions. Plus, it cures in just 60 minutes.

These waterproof concrete products are a quick and easy installation with long-lasting results!

Annual Maintenance in Monroeville, PA

Previously, a homeowner in Monroeville, PA hired our company to install a complete interior waterproofing system.

About a year later, the homeowner decided to add our reliable UltraSump Battery Backup Pump. In the case of a tripped circuit, power outage, or sump pump failure, this heavy-duty battery backup can pump more than 11,500 gallons of water on a full charge. It is the best addition to any TripleSafe sump pump system to ensure the home stays dry at all times.

Now, the homeowner won't have to worry about water damage even if the power goes out when he's away from home!

Basement Waterproofing in Allison Park, PA

Basement leaks are not just a headache, they can also cause serious foundation issues. So when a homeowner in Allison Park told us about a wet basement, one of our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Professionals, Paul Zaremski, visited the home to complete a free inspection.

On the day of the appointment, Paul identified obstacles our installation crew would encounter and what the best solution is for the home. Our crew needed to remove and later replace a hot water tank. The homeowner told Paul that he wanted to put the house on the market, so he wanted a long-lasting system he could trust.

At a later date, we arrived at the home to install our proven waterproofing solution. This included our unique WaterGuard below-floor drain, TripleSafe sump pump system, and LawnScape underground downspout extension. The waterproofing system wraps around the entire perimeter of the basement. All leaks will be caught in the perforated drain and led into the sump pump system. After water is discharged from the home, it is directed into the underground downspout extension. The buried pipe allows water to flow to the ground surface at our special LawnScape outlet.

Underground Downspout Extensions in Industry, PA

A homeowner identified a water problem near the exterior of the home. Two faulty downspout extensions leaked water near the foundation walls. If left alone, this could have led to serious water problems on the inside of the home, but luckily there is a simple, cost-effective fix!

Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Tom Faessel, inspected the home and proposed our LawnScape underground downspout extension be installed for a permanent solution. After the homeowner hired Baker's Waterproofing for the project, our crew arrived with the necessary products and tools. First, Rich Rotolo and his crewman removed the old extensions and removed the sod. Then, they connected PVC pipe to each existing downspout and ran the piping underground, away from the foundation. Next, the crew connected the pipes, then tied it into our LawnScape well. The only visible part is the green LawnScape outlet that rests flush with the lawn. For the last step, Rich and his crew replaced the dirt and sod in the yard.

Now, water drainage from the roof is directed far away from the home and onto the surface through the LawnScape underground downspout extension.

Basement Waterproofing in West Homestead, PA

A homeowner called the representatives at our office facility to schedule a free in-home waterproofing inspection. While on site, our Certified Waterproofing and Foundation Repair Specialist, Kevin Smith, inspected the inside and outside of the home. Then, Kevin sat down with the homeowner and considered his concerns before Kevin designed and explained the service.

Kevin discovered that we had to work within the homeowner's small budget, so we proposed a partial waterproofing system.

The homeowner's goal is to finish his basement. Here, our customized solution is a great advantage, because the homeowner can continue to add onto his system as he continues to save money for the full perimeter waterproofing project he requested.

The system currently includes our interior below-floor WaterGuard drain and our TripleSafe sump pump system. Our system controls water BEFORE it enters the basement, then pumps it outside, far away from the foundation.

We look forward to completing the full waterproofing system in the future, so the homeowner can finally finish and enjoy their basement area!

Crawl Space Repair in Oakmont, PA

A homeowner in Oakmont called Baker's Waterproofing to inspect the crawl space beneath her townhouse. She never saw the inside of the crawl space, but she wanted a free assessment of the potential problems that could have a negative effect on the rest of her home.

Our Service Advisor inspected the crawl space, then informed the homeowner about the findings. After explaining the issues in her home, we learned that the homeowner was concerned about stabilizing the structure and controlling moisture. She hired us to complete the crawl space repair project.

At a later date, our crawl space crew arrived at the townhouse with a variety of our patented products. First, Ken and his crew installed our CleanSpace drainage matting, moisture barrier, and some drainage pipe to control the moisture. Then, the crew installed our SmartSump crawl space sump pump system to pump the moisture out of the home. We also sprayed our Mold-X2 stain remover to prevent future mold growth. Lastly for the waterproofing project, they sealed off hot/cold outside air with our CleanSpace crawl space vent covers.

Once the moisture problem in the dirt crawl space was addressed, Ken and his crew installed our SmartJack supplemental support system. This system permanently stabilized the crawl space joists. One year later, we visited the home to tighten the system, and lifted the first floor of the townhouse about 1 inch.

Curtain Drain Helps Intercept Water at a Wexford Home

Over the last couple years, a major water problem surfaced at this Wexford home. The house experienced surface runoff that led to basement flooding at least 4 times a year. The homeowner did not want his family to continue dealing with this annoying problem, so he called Baker's Waterproofing.

Our Certified Waterproofing Professional completed a thorough inspection on the inside and outside of the home. Then, he sat down with the homeowner and factored all concerns into his custom waterproofing proposal. The homeowner requested that we install a curtain drain, and refused our recommendation for a basement drainage system. We were able to accommodate to the family's immediate concerns.

Our crew dug 190 feet of our curtain drain within the yard. A trench was dug about 30 feet away from the foundation which will help to prevent the yard from “ponding” but cannot guarantee a dry basement. The trench was backfilled with 40 barrels of gravel and will intercept water coming from sloping terrain. This water will travel through the drain and daylight at the LawnScape outlet. LawnScape has a well that allows water to exit through the grated outlet and onto the lawn once it is completely filled up.

Two months later, the homeowner shared that their system has been working great!

Basement Waterproofing in North Versailles, PA

In January, water leaked into a North Versailles basement for the very first time. The basement leak ruined the carpet and all of the homeowner's personal belongings. He removed the carpet and threw away everything that had been damaged. One month later, the basement leaked again, this time up to 4 inches. That is when he called Baker's Waterproofing.

We sent a Certified Waterproofing Specialist to inspect the inside and outside of the home. Kevin Smith proposed a solution that would address the front portion of the basement, the only leaking foundation wall. In the future, if the homeowner wants to also prevent future leaks, our crew can easily add on to the system.

The homeowner liked our product and price, so he hired us for the waterproofing project.

Our crew, led by Foreman David Cain, arrived at the property with all of the necessary products and tools. David and his crew installed 1 TripleSafe sump pump with a battery backup pump, WaterGuard below-floor drainage, and LawnScape underground downspout extension. Now, the homeowner can refinish his basement with peace of mind knowing that our patented products will keep the basement dry!

Competitor's Exterior Drainage System Failure Led to Basement Flooding

A competitor had previously installed an exterior drainage system to stop water from leaking through a foundation. However, the drain proved to be widely unsuccessful for this Pittsburgh house. The homeowner still had a large amount of water in her basement! Eventually, she decided to look into other options including an interior drainage system and sump pump system.

The homeowner scheduled a free inspection with a Baker's Waterproofing expert and hired us for the project.

Usually, existing drains alongside a foundation footing fails, because dirt clogs the pipe. The solution is our WaterGuard drain that is designed specifically to be an efficient, long-lasting interior waterproofing system. WaterGuard sits on top of the footing, instead of alongside it where there is clogging potential. All water is now caught in the WaterGuard drain and directed into our sump pump system. The TripleSafe  sump pump system includes a powerful pump and 1 UltraSump battery backup pump to help prevent basement flooding.

Basement Waterproofing Stops Mold and Humidity in a Bethel Park Home

A homeowner in Bethel Park had water and mud seeping through his front basement wall. He attended the South Hills Home Show in the spring and visited the Baker's Waterproofing booth to get started on finding a reliable solution.

Kevin Smith inspected the home and took a closer look at the unique foundation. The foundation footing seemed to be crumbled in some areas or didn't extend past the first block. The concrete floor slab was extremely thin as well, making it impossible to install our typical drain. Luckily, Baker's has an alternative solution to this drain, our FlowGuard drain.

While on the job, Mike Pry and his crew cleaned off the walls with a mold stain remover and attached our durable vapor barrier on the damp walls. Further, Mold-X2 prevents mold growth while CleanSpace prevents water and humidity from passing through the barrier. The crew placed the thin FlowGuard drain on top of a bed of clean gravel with flange-less WaterGuard buried beside it. They tucked the vapor barrier behind the drain's wall flange to catch water and water vapor. Mike installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity low in the basement. Now, water is redirected into the TripleSafe sump pump system.

Mike and his crew successfully fixed this basement in 2 days. Now, the homeowner is happy with the result of a dry, healthy basement!

Sump Pump Installation with Battery Backup in Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh homeowners have not experienced basement water issues until very recently. The last freeze-thaw cycle caused water to seep through 3 foundation walls and flood 1/4'' of water onto the floor. The couple was concerned that the problem would continue to get worse, so they called Baker's Waterproofing.

Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist, Shawn Jackson, completed a thorough inspection of this home. Shawn learned that the couple wants to prevent any further issues and turn the basement back into a comfortable living space. He designed a proposal that they were satisfied with and they moved forward with the project.

Our crew, led by Foreman David Cain, reviewed the installation process with the homeowners before starting the work. David and his crew dug out a small perimeter trench only along 3 walls that they wanted to repair for the time being. They also dug a small sump hole in the low-lying corner of the basement. The crew placed our WaterGuard drain on top of the foundation footing and connected it to the airtight TripleSafe system. The crew backfilled the trench and sump hole with clean gravel and hand-poured fresh concrete.

This TripleSafe system includes 2 powerful Zoeller pumps and 1 UltraSump battery backup pump. It always includes a WaterWatch alarm, SuperLiner sump liner, airtight sump lid, and CleanPump stands. Now, the couple can count on their powerful and reliable sump system to keep their basement dry.

Waterproofing a Musty, Moldy Basement in Imperial, PA

A homeowner from Imperial had wet, moldy walls in his basement. For years, they didn't address this problem, but it only got worse. Eventually, they wanted to address the mold and finally finish their basement with a waterproofing system that they could trust. Their existing, failing sump pump was installed by a competitor five years ago, so now they wanted Baker's Waterproofing to inspect and identify their basement needs.

Bob completed a thorough inspection and recommended a full perimeter WaterGuard drainage system, two TripleSafe sump pumps, CleanSpace wall system, Mold-X2 cleaner, and LawnScape underground discharge extension. A few weeks later, Rich and his crew installed our proven basement waterproofing system that now keeps this Imperial basement dry.

One year after the installation, the homeowner was concerned that there was mold growing on an area in which we sprayed our Mold-X2 formula. We immediately scheduled our Service Technician to take a look at the wall. At the home, we assured the homeowner that it was not mold, but rather existing discoloration and there was no negative effects on their system's functionality. We recommend annual maintenance appointments to make sure everything continues to work properly, so you can extend the life of your system.

Basement Waterproofing System with a Battery-Powered Sump Pump

This homeowner called Baker's Waterproofing, because lately the bottom of his basement walls were getting a lot of water after heavy rains. Our Service Advisor, Paul, met with the homowner and his wife to design a custom basement solution for that concerning problem.

Paul completed a thorough inspection of the inside and outside of the house. He identified water entering through all of the basement walls and some areas in the garage. As Paul designed their system, he didn't include anything to address the damp garage per the homeowner's request. A unique feature about our solution is that the husband and wife can add to it at any time to protect their entire below-grade space.

Our crew, led by Theron, installed 88 feet of our WaterGuard below-floor drain. This drain is installed on top of the foundation footing at the floor-wall joint with minimal disruption to the home. One WaterGuard inspection port was included for system maintenance.

Theron and his crew led the drain to our TripleSafe sump pump system. The system was placed in a small sump hole and tied into their existing downspout to daylight. Their TripleSafe includes 2 powerful pumps, one being the lifesaving battery-powered UltraSump pump. After our crew flood-tested the system to ensure functionality, the work areas were back-filled with clean gravel and re-finished with fresh, hand-poured concrete.

In just one project day, our team successfully waterproofed this Chester basement!

Annual Maintenance Improved System with New Discharge Extensions

A customer scheduled an annual service appointment to maintain the life of her existing basement waterproofing system.

We originally installed the system in 2004, so we recommended that she replace the worn out pump. Our tenured Service Technician also recommended fixing the gutter downspouts with our LawnScape underground extension.

At a later date, she decided to move forward with the project. Our crew installed 2 LawnScape extensions with a total of 60 feet in underground piping.

Now, water that enters either of the two gutter downspouts will travel far away from the foundation and daylight at a small, camouflaged outlet in the homeowner's lawn.
