A homeowner in Claysville was experiencing basement water problems for the last 15 years. Recently, the issue became worse. He wanted to fix it now, because he is scared of damages to his new furnace, and he is tired of the issue.
Our basement waterproofing specialist, Scott Johnston, explained the problem and our proven solution to him. During this free inspection, the homeowner told Scott that he had up to 6 inches of water in his basement at one time.
Scott recommended a full perimeter drain and sump pump with a battery-powered pump to give him the dry basement and usable storage space he wants.
The homeowner scheduled his custom basement waterproofing project.
Our foreman, Rich Rotolo, and his crew broke out a small trench along the full perimeter of the basement including a small sump hole. We cleared out the dirt and debris to properly install the system.
Seventy feet of our WaterGuard drain rests at the foundation footing just below the concrete floor to catch flooding water at its most common entry point. Our TripleSafe sump pump (with 1 Zoeller pump and 1 UltraSump battery backup pump) rests at a low-lying spot in the basement to collect foundation leaks.
The sump pump discharge line takes water from the basement to the outside of the home. Rich and his crew led our discharge line into the existing gutter downspout. From this location, we installed our underground discharge extension, called LawnScape, where water surfaces at a small, round and grated outlet in the yard.
Rich and his crew repaired this home in less than one day.
