A homeowner in Murrysville, PA had an internal french drain system that was not working properly. He was also getting water coming through the walls, and it only got worse with each rain. The homeowner eventually had to cut his dry wall in certain areas, because mold was beginning to grow.He had seen Baker’s Waterproofing on TV, and decided to give us a call for a free estimate.
One of our Service Advisors, Bob Massaro, conducted a full inspection at the home. The homeowner wanted a complete replacement of the system and wanted to ensure that it the discharge was drained correctly. He expressed all of his questions and concerns, and Bob created a custom proposal that satisfied all of the homeowner’s needs.
We usually only visit the home once, but Bob visited the home a second time to ensure that the customer was comfortable with all of the products and the installation. The customer was then ready to get on the schedule.
A month after Bob’s visit to the home, our crew arrived for the installation.
The foreman Rich Rotolo and his team installed 93 feet of WaterGuard drainage system around the entire perimeter of the basement. This leads any water to the TripleSafe sump pump.
The crew made sure to lead the discharge line of the sump pump outside and away from the home’s foundation, so the homeowner would not have a recurring issue. They also put an IceGuard fitting over the discharge line in the event of clogging or freezing, so water would not re-enter the home.
Rich installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to remove any excess moisture or dust in the air.
The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing his system is functional and properly routed as not to leave any water in the basement!
