After a heavy rain, new homeowners in Weirton, WV dealt with a flooded game room. The homeowner was working with a home inspector, and needed a basement waterproofing estimate to prevent this problem from reoccurring.

When they purchased the home, they were aware of leaks underneath the concrete porch. However, their basement flooded the day they moved in.Our certified expert, Jesse Pitcock, inspected the inside and outside of this home. Jesse designed a basement waterproofing system to address the leakage and a wall anchor and channel anchor system to repair the shearing and bowing wall identified during the inspection.

The homeowners set aside a budget for the project, and used our financing options to move forward with us.

Our Foreman, Bryan Telegraphis, and his crew fixed this home with our proven home repair solutions.

The crew broke out a small perimeter trench and sump hole in the basement. We cleaned up the debris and installed our TripleSafe sump pump and 65 feet of our below-floor WaterGuard drain in the basement. We attached 65 feet of our CleanSpace vapor barrier to the wall and tucked it behind the drain’s wall flange. Bryan and his crew back-filled the trench and sump hole with clean gravel and hand-poured new concrete over the system.

The sump pump discharge line moves water through our underground discharge extension on the outside of the home. We dug a total of 35 feet in the yard to install PVC pipe, 15 feet extending from the discharge line and 18 feet from the front gutter downspout. Any flooding water is controlled before it enters the basement and surfaces outside at a small, camouflaged LawnScape outlet.

On the exterior, the crew dug 10 earth anchor locations and drove galvanized rods through the foundation wall out to stable soils. We attached the earth anchors to the rods and attached 6 interior wall plates and 4 channels. Then, the channels were anchored to the footing to address shearing of the wall.

Our Geo-Lock anchor systems immediately and permanently stabilized the wall. Last, Bryan and his crew tightened the anchors and replaced the soil in the yard.

These fully-installed basement waterproofing and wall repair systems protect the homeowners from basement leaks and foundation damage.
