Baker’s Waterproofing Sponsors the Running of the Wools Event

When animals are involved, how can you not jump at the chance to offer your support? Our team at Baker’s Waterproofing was eager to do just that when we heard about the fun and unique Running of the Wools.

Held on May 4, 2024, along Main Street in Washington, PA, the Running of the Wools celebrates Washington’s deep-rooted connection to agriculture and sheep farming. This downtown event honors the vital role farmers play in our community.

At the Main Street Pavilion, visitors explored agricultural exhibits, educational displays, a dedicated children’s zone, and artisan craft stalls. The festivities extended to local businesses through a breakfast tour and culinary competition. The highlight of the day is the Running of the Wools, where prized sheep dash down Main Street, bringing a lively spectacle to the heart of our city.
