Baker’s Waterproofing Sponsors Colby’s Stars Foundation’s 8th Annual Kicking Cancer’s Butt Kickball Tournament

Cancer is a heart-wrenching disease that moves many people to take action.

Baker’s Waterproofing understands how devastating cancer is to local families, and we are honored to raise awareness, offer financial support, and lend our time and talents to those in need.

Our team was a platinum sponsor of the Colby’s Stars Foundation’s 8^th Annual Kicking Cancer’s Butt Kickball Tournament. The event featured a youth tournament on May 17, 2024, and an adult tournament on May 18. We were excited to hit the field and participate in the action-packed event on the adult tournament day.

All sponsorships and donations benefitted the Colby’s Stars Foundation. Established in 2010, this non-profit organization is named in memory of Colby Simkovic, who hailed from Waynesburg, PA. The foundation’s mission is to support families in southwestern Pennsylvania and nearby areas who are dealing with the challenges of having a child diagnosed with cancer or other severe illnesses.

Since its inception, Colby’s Stars Foundation has successfully raised more than $100,000 through diverse fundraising initiatives like the kickball tournament. This has enabled the organization to offer crucial support to numerous families with children battling various forms of cancer. The foundation’s assistance encompasses financial aid, provision of essential items, and even sponsorship of recreational activities such as visits to the zoo, aiming to bring moments of joy to these families during difficult times.
