The stone foundation walls of this Charleroi, PA basement had water intruding into the space and damaging the homeowner's storage items.
After removing the items in the basement it was time to go to work installing the waterproofing products.
Since water was substantially coming through cracks, a vapor barrier liner called CleanSpace was attached. CleanSpace is similar to a pool liner; it is durable and highly resistant to tears and rips. Instead of water seeping onto the floor, the liner will move water down to the WaterGuard sub-floor drain that was installed within the floor.
After the drainage piping was fully installed concrete was applied over the drain.
The drain flows water to the sump pump. The SuperSump was installed in the lowest level of the basement and will move water at a rate of 2,500 gallons per hour outside of the basement to a downspout. The area is now protected!
A 13x17 basement in Charleroi, PA had water coming in along the stone foundation walls and leaving puddles of water on the floor routinely when it would rain.
After a free inspection Baker’s Waterproofing installed a system that would block water from disturbing the basement used for storage any further. Service Advisor Justin Lowden had 47 ft. of WaterGuard sub-floor drainage installed around the entire perimeter of the basement. This drain rests up against the wall and is placed within the floor to collect water coming from the outside. To move water outside, Justin had a SuperSump sump pump installed.
Additionally since water was coming through cracks in the wall he had a vapor barrier liner called CleanSpace attached. CleanSpace is a white durable liner that will block wall leakage and protect against future mold growth.
