After water poured in from outside, it had no where to go and left the dirt floors wet.
The existing dehumidifier was not powerful enough to get rid of the moisture problem.
Large gaps in the stone walls were allowing water to come through during heavy rains.
The constant water was damaging the walls and giving mold a space to grow.
A homeowner in Meyersdale, PA contacted Baker's Waterproofing because all of the walls in their basement were leaking. They had a dirt floor that was retaining the water, and they were concerned about mold growing in the basement and up through the rest of the house.
One of our service advisors inspected the inside of the basement and outside of the foundation, and recommended a unique waterproofing solution guaranteed to keep their basement dry.
We proposed a full perimeter below-floor drainage system, grated trench drain, airtight sump pump system, and bright, white wall vapor barrier. On the outside of the foundation, the advisor proposed an emergency overflow on the buried downspouts and a grated outlet for water to properly exit the basement.
