Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Full Basement Waterproofing Repair in Cranberry Township, PA

Album Description

A homeowner in Cranberry Township, PA had water coming in his basement during long or heavy rains for as long as he lived there. He wanted to be able to renovate the floors and walls in his finished basement without risk of water damage.

The homeowner had to rip out some of his dry wall because of mold growth, so he finally decided to call a local basement waterproofing contractor for a free inspection.

One of our Service Advisors, Chris Shrontz, surveyed the interior and exterior of the home. He proposed a full perimeter waterproofing system that would keep the basement dry all of the time and would protect against any future mold growth.

Foreman Rich Rotolo and his crew installed CleanSpace wall vapor barrier and the WaterGuard drainiage system around the 155 foot perimeter of the basement. This and a grated trench drain leads leaking water towards 2 TripleSafe sump pumps. The homeowner's downspouts were rerouted and extended so the water would exit at the LawnScape outlet located far away from the home. On the outside, a slotted IceGuard fitting was placed on the sump pump discharge line to get rid of water if the extended line was to freeze or clog.

Rich also sprayed Mold-X2 on the walls to protect against mold growth. We also installed a Sani-Dry dehumidifier to take care of any excess moisture in the air.

The homeowner can now finish his basement without water damaging his drywall or flooring!
