Heavy rains led to water in the basement storage area and Chair Room of the Ingomar Church. So, after 4 years of cleaning up leaks with floods occurring 3-4 times every year, they called looking for exterior drainage and waterproofing.
The church had an area that puddled on the sidewalk, and that water might have been entering the basement depending on the amount of rainfall.
A few years back they tried to fix some of the areas. They attached a waterproofing membrane and installed curtain drains. However, not all of it was completely addressed, and it started to leak again.
We met with the Facilities Manager and recommended that the trustees first see if diverting surface water away from the foundation would stop the basement flooding.
Two years later, they reached out to us to fix the persistent problem. The trustees wanted this problem solved externally, but after we presented our proven internal solution, they agreed that this would better serve their needs.
Our crew installed our WaterGuard and FlowGuard drain with easy-access inspection ports, two TripleSafe sump pumps with the battery-powered UltraSump pumps, CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, and a 25-foot underground extension of the sump pump lines.
In less than one week, our foreman Theron Block and his crew installed the church's customized basement waterproofing system.
