Three foundation walls were always wet in this Clarksburg basement. The homeowner was tired of dealing with water in his home after heavy rains. He was concerned about the potential mold, odor, and humidity issues that could develop if the basement were to remain a damp environment. The homeowner informed Justin Lowden of these concerns on the day of the free inspection. Justin designed a proposal that addressed all of his concerns for the wet walls in his home.
Our crew, led by Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh, arrived at the job site at a later date to install our waterproofing system. Ken and his crew addressed the wet basement walls by digging a small perimeter trench and draining excess water from the lower blocks. Then, they placed our drain in clean gravel and attached our vapor barrier to the walls using small plastic fasteners.
The mold-resistant CleanSpace vapor barrier will stop humidity and moisture from passing through, and direct the leaks into the drain below. Our drain controls moisture from the foundation and channels it into the TripleSafe sump pump. From here, water is successfully pumped out of the home and travels through the existing gutter downspout extension to daylight.
The homeowner shared that he is very satisfied with the work and it really did improve the look of his basement!
