Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: New Water-Resistant, Faux Wood Flooring in Pittsburgh, PA

Album Description

A Pittsburgh homeowner used to find puddles of water in her basement after a heavy rain or snow melt. She became concerned about the wet walls and flooring and potential mold problems that would develop overtime. The homeowner called Baker's for a free estimate on what it would take to fix the problem and prevent future leaks.

Our Certified Waterproofing Specialist inspected the property and considered her concerns in order to design a customized solution. This solution included our below-floor drain and sump pump system. The homeowner said she wanted a flooring option, so she decided to invest in our water-resistant basement flooring, called ThermalDry. This required 2 crews to complete the waterproofing project and flooring project on separate dates.

Our first crew arrived to install the drainage and sump pump system. Then, the second crew installed our ThermalDry flooring. ThermalDry, unlike real wood, does not absorb water vapor and will not grow mold. ThermalDry flooring gives you the warm look of wood in the basement without the risk of water damage!
