A homeowner in Kingwood, WV used to have a wet basement with a nasty odor. He was looking to quickly schedule the repair work, so he could improve home value before listing the property on the market.
The homeowner chose Baker's Waterproofing to complete the waterproofing project.
Our Foreman and his crew successfully improved the health and appearance of the basement with our award-winning waterproofing solution. The crew attached our mold-resistant vapor barrier on the damp walls with a drainage system beneath the concrete floor slab. Now, the home is dry and ready to sell!
The heavy rains in 2018 flooded hundreds of basements. And one of our employees experienced this troublesome issue first-hand in his Canonsburg home.
Certified expert, Tom McKee, designed and even helped install his own basement waterproofing system. He watched the transformation of a damp and musty basement in the morning to a healthy and dry living space later that day. Now, Tom and his family have a more pleasant home because of these repairs.
A homeowner in Oakdale, PA noticed a horizontal crack along a wall in the basement.
Our certified foundation repair specialist Tom inspected the inside and outside of this unstable foundation. Tom measured a severe 4-inch bow in the wall.
After the homeowner chose Baker's Waterproofing to complete the repair work, our foreman, Bryan, and his crew installed 8 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to stabilize the home's foundation.
Our team at Baker's put this home back on solid ground!
Homeowners in Butler County plan to place their house on the market. A local home inspector diagnosed potential problems that would need addressed. One major issue was a bowing, cracking basement wall. The wall began inward movement due to a poor backfill of soils around an addition to the home.
Our Foundation Repair Specialist inspected the home to design a custom repair solution with our CarbonArmor wall reinforcement system. The CarbonArmor system consists of extremely strong straps manufactured with fiber-reinforced polymers. These straps are flexible and contour tightly against the basement wall to prevent further inward movement.
Now, the house is prepared for the market.
A homeowner in Harmony, PA identified a bowing, cracked wall in his unfinished basement. Over time, if left alone, the wall will continue to lean inwards until its inevitable collapse.
Our team prevented this problem and stabilized the wall with our PowerBrace system. This was an ideal wall solution (in place of our wall anchor system), because there was limited space on the property for us to dig. In this case, the wall regained its structural integrity without our team disturbing the outside soils or landscaping.
After heavy rains, water was entering the basement through the foundation walls. This led to unwanted puddling all over the concrete floor. Baker's Waterproofing solved this issue by installing our unique, below-floor drain to collect water at its common entry-point. Then, our crew connected the drain to our reliable sump pump system. Next, the crew solved the mold and humidity issue while brightening up the basement. This is now a dry space the homeowner can use for storage or a basement finishing project.
