Structural Repair
Foundation repair is a problem that faces many homeowners. At Baker's Waterproofing, we are licensed installers of Foundation Supportworks as well as Basement Systems. We offer you many options for repairs for a variety of problems, including bowed or cracked walls, settlement, foundation cracks and crawl space sagging. These options include:
- Wall Anchors
- Push Piers
Steel Channel Wall Anchors- Crawl Space Support
- Wall Braces
- Wall Reinforcement
With one or more of these systems, whatever your structural problems are, we will be able to help. Your foundation problems are most like caused by shifting soil around your foundation, expansion and contraction of the soil around your home throughout the seasons
or improperly cured concrete. These
methods have been proven over the years to work - with lasting, permanent results.
Structural repair for your foundation may be as simple as mudjacking for minor settlement, but if we need to use one of our methods, here is a little information on each:
- Wall anchors: Wall anchors are a steel rod that goes through your foundation - on the end in the earth there is a flat anchor inserted into virgin soil, and a plate on the interior of your basement wall. Over time with tightening, these will return your wall to their original position.
- Push Piers: These provide a support structure for your basement. Like the I-beams that support your upper floors, steel push piers work as I-beams for your foundation, securing your home on the bedrock or untouched soil far below.
- Crawl space piers: Crawl space piers are specifically designed to provide the support that every crawl space needs - in much the same method as a push pier, but working off of an engineered base so that they are secure and fast to install.
- Wall braces: These steel beams that are inserted along the inside of your foundation will help your basement walls become stable.
Carbon fiber wall reinforcement: This military-grade material will help to ensure that your basement wall will no longer succumb to the pressure of shifting soil.
