Basement Flooring
One of the largest considerations when you have had a wet basement in the past and are looking to have a finished basement now is basement flooring. You may fear putting in carpet - or any flooring system. With the appropriate basement waterproofing, basement flooring is not a problem. Baker's Waterproofing offers ThermalDry Flooring to make sure you never have to worry about a wet, cold basement floor again.
ThermalDry Flooring
No matter how you want to finish your basement floor, ThermalDry will make sure that it is never susceptible to water damage. We offer the following products:
- Carpet Finishing
- Tile Finishing
- Wood Finishing
- Floor Matting
All of these systems are easy to install and will help you achieve the look and feel for your basement that you want.
ThermalDry System
ThermalDry flooring is the one way to make sure that your flooring is not susceptible to rot or mold. The system has a subfloor that separates your actual flooring from the concrete and any condensation that is on it. The plastic subfloor allows moisture and condensation to reach your sump pump, preparing it for the layers above. No matter what you put on top of the ThermalDry subfloor, it will never be vulnerable to water beneath.
Carpet and Tile
Once the subfloor is installed, ThermalDry has easy to install carpet tiles and tile that can be placed over the system, providing your basement with a finished floor. These carpet squares and tiles can be easily removed and replaced - and they will warm your floor by several degrees.
Wood Finishing
Another option that we offer is to complete MillCreek Flooring - waterproof flooring that looks like hardwood. Some of the benefits of MillCreek Flooring:
- Spill resistant
- Will not rot or mold
- Will not buckle or expand
- 10 Year Warranty
- Anti-slip surface
One of the most beautiful basement flooring options (see the picture above), MillCreek is also a great value.
Floor Matting
If you would like to have your own flooring installed, ThermalDry flooring also comes available in matting that can have any flooring installed above it. Installing padding and carpet above it looks beautiful - but we don't recommend hardwood floors - even in a finished basement. If you aren't planning on finishing your basement, the system will still act as a moisture barrier and help you keep your basement warm and energy efficient.
